Nice light. Good quality construction.

I purchased the lamp a few weeks back and am very happy with it. It's in a corner of my living room and I really like that the head tilts (maybe around 30 deg) so I can shine it at a slight angle so it bounces off the wall. The construction is good overall. The lamp head is a little flimsy, but unlike some torchieres I've owned in the past, the sections of the main stand screw together very securely and precisely (it's hard to see where they join unless you look closely). The switch is not a physical switch, it's a touch sensor of some type. When you turn on the lamp it's on full, touch once to go to 60% brightness, touch again to go to 30% brightness and touch again to turn off. The only thing that I don't like is that since I control it from a wall switch (which turns the outlet on/off) the light always comes on at full power. There's no way to have it come on at the dimmer settings when using the wall switch. However, I don't consider this a major problem and am very happy with it overall.

As such I consider this a great product if you are looking for a torch light

I'll start with a qualifier: I bought this as a factory refurbished product (in fact, I bought 2), at 2/3 of the price of a new. As such I consider this a great product if you are looking for a torch light. The light is bright, it is slight and blends in well. There is a lot of talk about whether you can use it with a switched outlet and the unequivocal answer is 'Yes'. Explanation: it will turn off and turn on when you turn to power off/on on the switched outlet. It will, however, always turn on at the highest level regardless off which of the 3 settings (high/medium/low/ the light was set to before the outlet was turned off. For me this is not a huge limitation, so I'm not taking stars away for this. The control system of this light to adjust the intensity is electrical (sort of a touch control), as opposed to mechanical, so it should go without saying that the electrical switch (at this price range) does not 'remember' the last intensity setting. Shipping was fast and assembly was easy so I have nothing to complain about.

Great minimal, sleek floor lamp for people who don't like floor lamps

We love this lamp. We bought this one first to try out and see how we like it since we don't normally like floor lamp. Turned out this is a great lamp, minimal, sleek, and does a great job lighting our loft up without being too in your face. We bought two more after this.

Great lighting solution for my home office

I ordered one of these lamps for my home office, in white, and I'm very pleased with it. It stands in a corner, taking up almost no room, and I have the light head tilted toward the wall/ceiling in the corner. This creates a really useful level of indirect non-glare lighting. I decided to start with just one lamp, knowing that for complete room lighting I will need a second lamp in the opposite corner of the room. After seeing how well this lamp works, I ordered another white one - but the one shipped to me was black. As of today, the black lamp is on its way back to Amazon at no charge to me, and I've re-ordered a white lamp.

Great area lamp

The 3 position touch lamps don't really exist any more. This puts out as much light as the old bulb or halogen lamps. I also like that it is energy efficient with LEDs. The adjustable swivel top is nice as well. I'm going to grab a second one.

Rare lamp that light up the whole room.

I bought the second unit for my living room after having a satisfactory experience with the first unit. I was looking for a lamp that can provide bright lights for my work at night without making me sleepy. This lamp exactly does that. What I like about this lamp: - It generates excellent amount light evenly covering my medium-size room and my living room - The light is white rather than warm orange light, which puts me into sleep - The LED produces minimal heat and consumes low energy - It has three dimming options

Great lamp

I bought one for my living room. I hate overhead lighting. I love it. 3 light settings. From bright to dim. It gives the room a warm glow. It stands about 5' 7". If you are tall then I suggest placing the lamp on something to give it height. I'm 5'5", so I never see the light source. I purchased 3 more and am about to purchase my 5 th lamp!

No overhead lights? Not a problem anymore!!

AMAZING! Seriously though. This is incredible!! I've been debating if I should get a west elm sconce or this and I finally decided on this lamp and I have zero regrets!! Like many of you I live in New York in an apartment where there is lots of glass windows and zero overhead lighting. This lamp is a game changer!! 4 different brightness levels, totally solid, and so sleek you hardly notice it! I would for sure recommend. I included a before and after picture with the lamp on full strength and off.

Good stylish lamp

I needed two lamps but I only ordered one because it seemed such as reasonable price for the quality advertised and I was dubious about how it might look. When the lamp arrived it took a little while to understand how to put it together but fortunately it was so simple you can't really make a mistake. Once it was together (be certain to make sure all the parts are firmly connected), it worked very well. Others mentioned that there is a short delay when the light is turned on and I experienced that also but that is not a problem for me. I also have it connected to an outlet that works with a switch. It works fine with the switch but it does always light with the brightest setting. This might be a problem for some. The other concern some people had was that the bulb can't be replaced. I didn't see that in the description before I bought it and indeed it is not replaceable. The light has a two year warranty so if anything didn't work during that time it should be replaced for free. I did contact the company about it and they were very prompt in replying and assuring me that LED lights do last a long time - as long as 20 years. I chose this lamp because of it's simple understated style which looks very great with my Danish modern furniture and have subsequently purchased more because I like it so well.

THE "Best" Torch Lamp I ever have. I love it so much - I bought another one for a friend.

I LOVE this product. I must admit, this is the BEST product I ever bought online (yup, Love at first sight when it illuminated the whole room. I was in awe). I have been looking for something like this since I moved into my studio since 2006. The very first torch lamp I have was great and use it for over 4 years. It has 3 heads (means 3 bulbs and they get really hot). The bulbs alone can get really expensive and most of the bulbs you get has that warm/yellowish glow (unless you use "Reveal" bulb). This Torch Lamp toppled them all. It is not hot/warm to the touch, it illuminates the room so brightly. I don't even use my lamp next to the bed since this lamp brightens the whole room from morning to night. I use the 3 dim function everyday. The assembly is so easy. It's light but substantial. Perfect height, slim. Above all, the LED light illuminates the room like nothing else.
