Love it !
I was looking into re amping for recording guitar and watching Youtube videos when I heard about this little DI box . It's build pretty solid and of course doesn't come with a 9V adapter . For re amping you'll need to also purchase a quality XLR Female to 1/4" TS shielded . Technically it's not true re amping however the quality of sound is outstanding and musicians on a budget will love it !

Really happy with this unit. Make sure to use quality cables!
Added it to my pedal-board, to make sure by Jazz Bass is ready for anything.. Very quiet unit, and the added features (gain, ground lift and cab simulation) are a really nice bonus to an already decent DI. I tested it immediately - connecting it to my mixer (via XLR) and to my amp and cab using the unbalanced out, worked flawlessly, without any hiss or noise. The gain setup button is really nice, if you want to boost your signal, and a ground lift is very important if need to remove noise coming in from grounding issues. I don't use the cab simulation, as it colors the tone and I like it clean. When switching the buttons on and off, there is no noticeable 'click' or 'pop' sound coming through the amp. Make sure to use quality cables - I had terrible static noise when running the DI through my mixer, which turned out to be a faulty (or unshielded cable). Plus - it's tiny! fits right into my pedaltrain...

Fantastic buy. I bought it as a DI for ...
Fantastic buy. I bought it as a DI for my taylor 114 acoustic electric to run through my JBL pa for acoustic gigs and was curious about how it would work to run my pedal board through it with my telecaster. Works great for both applications. It makes my taylor sound soooo much bigger with the cabinet simulator on (do yourself a favor and turn the gain down on your mixer before you kick the simulator on). Can't beat the price. Cheap insurance for sooo many situations. Buy it. You won't regret it.

Very handy problem solver.
We often have different, players, instruments, and situations come through church weekly. Add to that our "clean" stage setup and getting the right signal to the board can sometimes be challenging. I bought this guy mainly because it had the pad/boost feature and had a 1/4" out in conjunction with the XLR. The cab sim was a bonus. First the good. Easy set-up. Intuitive controls. Mirrored signal on both outputs. Extremely useful gain switch. Rugged case. Very compact in size. Great price point. The bad. Really isn't any. I wish the cab sim had a better EQ curve to it but it can be fixed at the desk or before the box, so it's really not that big of a deal.

Donner Delivers!
i have been so pleased with the pedals I have from Donner . . . I just ordered the EQ pedal, too. This DI was delivered on a Friday, I added it to my acoustic pedal board right away, and used it at a Memorial Service Saturday morning! No problems connecting to the PA, compact size with a wonderful sound. Highly reccommended!

Does the job.
Affordable and does the job for me. 20 db booster works great too.

Great buy. Lots of option built into such a small unit
Great solution that eliminated a ground hum. I have tried several DI boxes, however this did the trick. By using the -20db switch, I eliminated the hum problem I've had for months. A huge bonus, is that I used the 1/4" output and ran a line directly to my stereo headphone amp, so I can mix the band mix on one side, and my guitar directly on the other side. Between the option for the amp simulator, the 3 way gain selector, ground lift, and 2 parallel output options, you can't beat this little box. I plan to buy 2 more for the other members of my band.

LOVE IT!
I love this DI - it works as well as any DI I've used in the past except this has some unique features. First of all, I love the mini size of the Donner pedals in general - this one being no exception - saves a ton of space on my mini-pedal board. The cabinet sim is very unique - some will care for it, some will not. As a bassist, I love what it does for the low end. When you switch it on, it seems to do a few things simultaneously - which is to give a slight boost in the low-mids area and roll off some of the treble on the top end and also give just a slight gain boost - nothing over the top though. At first quick listen, I didn't care for it but after really listening closely to exactly what it was doing - especially the extra authority & solidness it gives in the low end, I really love it with the cab sim ON. I do bring back in some high end to taste with EQ and the tone to FOH is fantastic! It really does sound thicker & better in a good way, like a real cabinet would. It also sounds fantastic playing with the cab sim on into my bass cab. The other feature is the switchable + or minus 20db of gain. I leave this in the middle, or 0db setting - because a 20db jump in gain is insane, lol. I have tried it & it does work as advertised, but I do not need that kind of boost personally. If there is a con I would say it's that the LED light is brighter than a thousand suns. I simply cut a small square of black electrical tape and covered it. A black sharpie would most likely work just as well. Other than that - I LOVE this little guy. No noise, hiss, etc - it just works! So glad I stumbled across these Donner pedals - affordable, and work as advertised. HIGHLY Recommended.
