I bought 2 units. Neither one will work with Samsung Galaxy S6, won't even go all the way in, when reasonable force is applied. The regular USB 3.0 works fine; I haven't tried the type C yet. Very disappointed, I was hoping to be able to review the video footage recorded with my car dashcam on my Galaxy S6. P.S. Can someone confirm whether it works with Galaxy S6? Update: I have returned my two readers to the seller for a full refund which was hassle-free, no shipping fee. I was time pressed and so I ended up buying locally another reader of inferior built quality and more expensive that worked. In the meantime, the seller reached out to me twice and even offered to send me replacements without me being required to send the defective items back. I decided to pass on their generous offer since the USB 3.0 and Type C were good, and so I didn't want to abuse their kindness. I believe that these readers are very well built and a bargain. I'm convinced that my experience was just an exception, not the norm. I'm upgrading my rating from 3 to 5 stars because ultimately, I was impressed with this seller's work ethic and willingness to stand by their products.

To copy or transfer photos from Galaxy S6: pull back on hinged flap on cable end that looks like USB to reveal OTG android micro connection. This flap is is very hard to see, but must be opened. (Open/close mage is Amazon on sale listing.) Otherwise your OTG reader won’t work. Insert media.g. sd card. Attach reader. Blue on light appears. On home page pull down from top. USB Drive will appear. Tap it. Tap 'My Files', device storage (this the S6’ storage), DCIM, camera, more, edit, check photos to be copied or moved to media in attached card reader, more, move or copy, USB storage. Create folder (if you want a new folder on your removable media e.g. SD card, name with today’s date or whatever, folder to which photos are be copied or transferred to the media in your card reade), done. If you receive the message “: The file name s already in use in the destination folder, your photos will still be copied/moved into the folder. If you want originals to remain on your phone copy them to the USB reader. Moving them will erase them from your phone.

I found this gem while trying to find a solid affordable MicroSD adapter that I could attach to my 2017 Macbook Pro and store live recordings and other music files not normally found on any of the music streaming services so I could then plug it in to my stereo and listen without having to worry about any additional programs running on my laptop while I work and listen to music. I may have only had this adapter for four or five days so far, but a day has not passed where I haven't had to use it for some kind of file or data transfer. Being able to plug it in to a USB-C, MicroSD, USB 3.0, or USB 2.0 port is extremely convenient especially as I don't need to keep additional attachments around, or a mini USB stick that is so small it instantly gets lost in my desk drawer. For the price, this is the perfect accessory for anybody who has multiple devices with differing ports that don't always work well networked together.

Awesome device makes life a lot easier when reading SD cards from cameras and drones for transfer of data to your tablet, phone or PC. I like the 3-in-one design. Well made. The MicroSD card slot is spring loaded which was a surprise to me and that's a good thing. If I had to say anything bad about this device there's none. Pretty much Plug and play. Other than the fact that when you remove the Caps you have to put them in your pocket or something. Just be careful not to lose them and that's all. You will love it it works good. I totally recommend this product.

This is a great reader and adapter. To have all three in one stick makes it the only one I need in my laptop bag. As usb c seems to be the direction computers are going in and some of my older computers have the regular usb it’s a very versatile piece of equipment. File transfer speed is amazing as well and moves larger video files with ease. Make sure to read the specs though and do not hot swap cards or you run the risk of loosing data. Caught that tip right before use and I’m glad it hasent happened to me but just to pass that along. Would definitely reccomend. Will update in a few months if any issues arise.

Wow, what a versatile card reading adapter! I love the flip up MicroUSB connector contained in the USB 3.0 side of the reader. Also has the new USB-C that has become the new standard. It even works with my 'ancient' Samsung Galaxy S5 Android phone to transfer files, which is why I bought it in the first place. It reads the faster V30/U3 microXD cards and has very nice transfer speeds... much faster than readers I have used previously. Great product!

I used the card reader to transfer about thirty gigs of data from my PC to a micro SD card, very quick, no problems. Checked the OTG function by plugging it directly to my Galaxy Note 3 phone to transfer files from a micro SD card to phone, again, no problems. Tried the same with my new Amazon Fire 8 Tablet and no go, not recognized. Fortunately I have an OTG cable from Best Buy that worked with the card reader. I've tested both the SD and micro SD slots, the USB and micro USB, but not the USB C. So far so good, its a keeper and a handy tool for transferring data between a variety of devices that use SD and Micro SD cards. Since I will seldom use the card reader it should last me years. Heavy daily users might see the hinged USB/micro USB fail and should probably consider a more durable device or buy a spare since they are so inexpensive here.

I love this thing~!! I use this adapter primarily to transfer my Autel Evo drone footage to my laptop (USB-A) and my Galaxy S9+ (USB Type C). I tried all three connection types - USB Type A, USB Type C and MicroUSB - and they all worked perfectly across all of my devices (Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S9+, Lenovo Legion Y530 Windows laptop). I highly recommend this cool gadget for its cool design, ease-of-use, and flexibility.

Very happy with this Vogek card reader. It delivers proper USB 3.0 speeds when combined with a fast SD card. On my Mac using Blackmagic Disk Speed Test, I did a benchmark on a SanDisk Extreme Plus UHS-I U3 MicroSD and got 62.9 MB/s on write and 80.2 MB/s on read (see screenshot). I'm sure it can read and write even faster on a newer card. Also the regular/micro USB plug feels solid. Very pleased and would buy again based on performance!

This card reader is perfect. I already had a good multi-card reader (including CF), but it was corded. It is fine for my desktop, but for my laptop, I wanted something compact that plugged right in. I'm happy to say that both performance and build quality is great! I would especially like to point out that the USB-C connection allows me to orient the reader in whatever direction is most convenient so as not to get in the way of adjacent inputs.
