I would give this little device 10 Stars if it were allowed. This device does EXACTLY what I need it to do. My application is to delay an external hard drive in docking station connected to a router to record videos and images from security cameras. I have a sensor to monitor loss of internet connection. When this happens, modem and router are restarted. The problem is that if you turn on the hard drive before the router is fully initiated, then the hard drive is not recognized by the router. Video/picture are no longer saved to hard drive because hard drive is not recognized by the router if hard drive powered up too soon. By giving the hard drive about a 5 minute delay before powering up, it solves this problem perfectly. Router restarts and fully initiates, then 5 minutes later hard drive comes onlline and connects perfectly to the router making is accessible via the local network. This device is inexpensive, yet works like a charm to solve a maddening problem. I wired it into the system by purchasing a 2 ft extension cord from Amazon, cutting the black and white wires, but allowing the common to continue from end to end. The black wire from the power source (110v plugin) was connected to terminals 12 & 14, tied together. The white from the 110v plug was connected to terminals 9 & 13, tied together. On the other side (where the device is connected, (in my case hard drive) the black wire connects to terminal # 8 and white wire to terminal # 5. If you want to protect from anyone touching exposed 110 volt terminals you can cover it with black silicon, again purchased from Amazon. That is what I did to make for a safer installation so you do not experience a shock should you accidently touch the open terminals. Great Device. Could not be happier with my purchase.

The power went out a few weeks ago, and after 40mins or so the UPS shut everything down. The problem was that hours later when the power came back up, it all came up simultaneously whereas what I really need is the router to come up a few minutes AFTER the cable modem. This little relay has a knob on top to set the delay for anywhere from 0 to 10 minutes so that it all boots in the proper sequence and I can remotely monitor for when the house comes back online.

I bought this relay to modify a power strip to delay power to our wireless router and network switch at power on. The router requires that the cable modem be fully powered up and initialized first else it will not connect. This poses a problem if power is lost because the router would not initialize properly. This relay senses when power is restored and turns the router and switch on 2 minutes later, allowing the cable modem to fully boot up. Works flawlessly. Great product.

From the description alone I wasn't sure, but if my testing was right, the contacts change state (from the "shelf" states shown on the relay) AFTER the time has elapsed AFTER power is applied to the coil, STAY in that state while power remains at the coil, and fall back to "shelf" IMMEDIATELY when power is removed from coil. It's perfectly fine is this is the function you need - to delay something coming on (rather than to have something stay on for a while after something else goes off)

I needed a small timer that would fit in a light fixture that my family left on continuously. so i installed this timer to shut-off after ten minutes. Works great and I bought 2 just in case i find another use. Wish they had more range like 30 min but the will suffice. Included base makes for solder free wiring, diagram included and 2 form-C contacts

An extremely nice timer relay, suits my needs perfectly. I did have one question for the seller, he quickly responded, and pointed me in the right direction. I highly recommend this item. Just a tip, I didn't know. These timers are available in any amount of increments for your particular needs. I needed a timer with a shorter timer, so I ordered the 0 - 60 Second model. These are so cool!!!

The part itself seems to be pretty good, ran it as a temporary solution to a dead OEM timer that was back-ordered and it worked so well, that it's been in the equipment for several months even though the OEM part has been in for about 3 months!

I used this timer to limit bathroom exhaust fan to 10 minute run to prevent needless venting of a/c or heated air in guest bathroom.

excellent product, was delivered on time, I recommend the product and this company
