Easier Than I Expected

We had an antique double bed that we wanted to convert to a queen bed. I ordered King's Brand 7-Leg Heavy Duty Adjustable Metal Bed Frame with Center Support Rug Rollers and Locking Wheels, Queen/Full/Full XL/Twin/Twin XL,Kings Brand Bed Frame Footboard Extension Brackets Set Attachment Kit - Twin/Full/Queen/King, and 2 (one set for headboard and one set for footboard) #65 Adapto-Hook Bolt-On to Hook-On Conversion Brackets for Headboard & Footboard Attachment, Set of 2. Note that the hooks on headboard conversion brackets are pointing UPWARD so the headboard actually slightly hangs on it so as to not carry the weight of the new box springs and mattress. To make the conversion from double to queen I mounted the headboard conversion brackets to the inside. All the pieces fit together perfectly and all required nuts, bolts and washer were included. Even the tools required were included. I did have to use my own screwdriver. From opening the boxes to putting the box spring and mattress on the new bed frame took approximately one hour. Admittedly I am somewhat mechanical but the assembly was really easy.

Worked great!

We wanted to attach a footboard to our existing metal bed frame and these worked perfectly. Very universal should fit basically any metal frame that needs length extended. Easy to install.

Just what I needed, now I have a footboard!

Strong, long extension piece,end piece for attaching also long/wide ,just what I needed to enable me to attach a footboard to another brand's bed frame. I should have/could have drilled holes for additional support (this extension to the bed frame)but using only one hole was strong enough to support a plywood base then pillowtop twin mattress.I didn't expect the pre-drilled holes on this extension piece to align on another brand's bed frame so I give this 5 stars.

Strong & Well Made

These are strong and well made. For my application with an older bed frame, I had to reverse the end of the bracket. This involved drilling out the rivets and reassembling it with short bolts. Worked great once I reworked them.

Great Value

I went to a local mattress store and bought my daughter a full size mattress. Her crib converts to a headboard and footboard on a full size bed. The store it came from wanted close to $300 for the rails that covert the crib over to a bed. I priced out a mattress frame locally and the pricing was outrageous. I settled on a Kings Brand adjustable metal bed frame. This review is for the footboard attachment accessory. This accessory wasn't available locally at my mattress store. They didn't have a way to attach a footboard to their metal bed frame. I settled on Kings Brand because they had this option paired to their bed frame. It was a wise choice. This set has a notch that allows it to fit around the feet. Buying aftermarket and you'll run the risk of holes not lining up or it not working. Installation was a little tricky and I consider myself very handy. The instructions depicted this accessory to be mounted on top of the bed frame. If you do this, the bolts are self locking and squared at the top. The won't fit through the round holes in the bed frame itself. To fix this you need to install this accessory on the bottom of the bed frame. Also, the hardware kit uses locking nuts. Trying to tighten locking nuts with the thin wrench that comes with the hardware kit can be a pain. I used a socket set to make quick work of it. An adjustable wrench or wrench would work just as well. Anything but the tool that comes with it. This is not a complaint. The price point doesn't allow them to send a full size wrench. Use your own if you can. If not, the tool will work. Just takes a while. All in all, great value. Holds the footboard securely and works as intended.

Perfect match to the bed frame and footboard.

I received the item which appeared exactly as pictured in the product description. It attached perfectly to the Hercules Universal Heavy Duty Adjustable Metal Bed Frame (Queen size) to which I attached a Coaster Queen Size Antique Gold Finish Metal Bed Footboard to. I am very satisfied with the quality and price of this item, which came with all the necessary hardware and even a small wrench.

Great idea!

Much better solution than having to buy a whole new frame. My daughter's metal frame only had spots to attach a headboard and her dad bought her a bed that also had a footboard. Looked all over the place for a metal frame that would accommodate a footboard as well and came across this brilliant idea! It arrived fast and it worked out perfectly!

AMAZING Product!!!

My mom lost her rails to her bed when we moved her to Arizona. We tried to find some replacements but they would have been really expensive. We found these...they arrived in 2 days and were supper easy to assemble on my mom's metal frame and then she was able to attach her headboard and footboard to them. I am so grateful we found these...they were a huge life-saver!! Highly recommend!

Yes! Worked perfectly

After eyeing a 1930's Art Deco bed for 8 years... I finally pulled the trigger. These were all I needed to convert the full size frame to queen while maintaining the integrity of the vintage bed. Perfect. NO issues with install. ZERO issues with hardware. If you can change your oil, change a tire, you can manage this with ease. It ain't rocket science :)

It fits!

I needed to attach a footboard to an old bed frame that was not designed for a footboard. These extension brackets did the trick. I used a hacksaw to cut them a little shorter, to clear the hardware that secures the leg. and I used a very strong epoxy to attach the extension to the old frame. Now my daughter is a happy girl. Thanks for helping me with that.
