Good Quality for the Price

This artist’s easel with storage and carrying handle is very nice for being inexpensive. The drawer is narrow so only smaller tubes of pain can fit, but for being portable it works. The easel area is not height-adjustable, which is limiting as to the size canvas it will support. I found it adequate for a maximum of about 12”-14”. I did travel with it and liked having everything all ready to go when I arrived to paint at a friend’s house. The wooden pallet is a good size. It isn’t washable, though, so after a couple of uses, is covered in dried paint and no longer useful for seeing/blending colors. However, again, what you get for the price is quite good, and I would recommend it.

Excellent Value! Definitely worth it!

I’m absolutely stunned at the bang for your buck you get with this set. It’s my daughters 9th birthday, and she loves to paint, so I was looking for a tabletop easel since I have limited space. Although I knew it came with some starter paints etc. I bought a big set from another company of paint, brushes, watercolors etc. usually it seems like accessories in items this inexpensive are pretty small and cheesy. Turns out - I really didn’t need to buy extra anything! SO much comes in this kit, plenty to start off a young artist. I can’t speak to how well liked this set would be for an adult seriously skilled artist, but for a kid, it’s way beyond what my expectations were. I haven’t set up the easel yet, my daughter still has to open it since it’s a gift, but it definitely doesn’t look like anything that would blow you away, quality wise, but for a child, and the value of the supplies alone, definitely ok with it being just OK as far as that portion goes. My tip would be, if you’re just starting out with a collection of paints and supplies for your child, wait to buy anything additional until you get this box, because I wound up with more than what she needed when I saw just how much was included with this. It looks like more in person than the picture shows.

Perfect for sketching at my computer desk.

This is the first easel I've ever purchased, so I was not sure what to expect, especially with regards to stability. This one sits on my desk perfectly and doesn't move around because of the little grippy feet on the bottom. I'm pretty rough with my pencils, but my sketchpad (9 x 12 inches) stays in place just fine on the hinged "shelf" that it rests on, and the slotted back brace feels more stable than some of the easels I saw with just hinges. The drawer is a tiny bit sticky to pull out, but nothing serious. The entire thing feels very sturdy, especially given the price I paid for it. I toted it over to a friend's house and my mother's with no problems.

A perfect solution

I have recently started coloring and I am in my 70's. I needed an easel to keep my work in front of me so that I would not have to bend over. This easel is perfect. It is well made. There is a drawer to hold my pens. It is the perfect solution. The price makes it a great buy. There is nothing comparable in the stores.

Practical and sturdy!

I have the smaller version and decided to buy this one since I was painting a16 x 20 canvas and it is perfect!!! I covered it with Painters tape to protect it from paint strokes! I love how practical it is and convenient to carry it!!

After reading some of the more negative reviews, I wasn't sure about this item. But I went ahead and bought it and am glad I did. It's the perfect size for what I need, as I do pen & ink work on standard-sized sketch pads, which prop up nicely on this easel. It also nicely accommodates smaller canvases for oils and water colors, and the storage drawer holds a surprising number of tools and accessories. I like that the easel does not take up a lot of space, and it's perfect for setting up on my kitchen table or my desk. A very good investment.

Great starter kit!

'Perfect' is the only word I got on it at first glance. It is Sturdy. The compartment opens easily, and fits enough tools for daily use. It includes brushes, knife, pencil, paints, palette, canvas for such a low price which is affordable. A great set for the beginners! The canvas and paints are of good quality too. Though the size of the tubes are small but came with different shades and rich in color. I have a stand up easel and was looking for something I could keep on a desk. This product perfectly serves my need. Overall it is Impressive!

Love how easy it is to set up & put away. Holds canvas well. Great quality wood. Very smooth & put together well. Wish the drawer was a little deeper to hold paint by number paints, but brushes, pencils, scissors & palette fit nicely. Overall great purchase
