I bought these on Amazon the day after back surgery. Thinking i planned ahead poorly and they wouldn't arrive for over a week, i received them in two days! These things are perfect! I bought two, so one's always fresh and ready to go out the freezer. Whatever substance they use is a harder gel that retains more cold longer. So they're not always warming up and needing to be replaced. I'm so glad i searched a little harder and found these rather than bought the first imitator i found in a store.

I really like it. The felt pouch is just the right thickness to go on bare skin without freezing. Long strap is perfect for various areas - I used it for lower back, heel and calves without any problem. There is a good amount of filler in the packs so they can stay cold for about 30mn. Good stitching, I'm not worried about this ripping anytime soon. I've only used ice packs, did not heat so cannot comment on that. Overall, I was really impressed to get this quality for the price.

Love this so much. I had it wrapped around my very sore ankle for at least an hour because I forgot about it -- because it is so secure and comfortable. I love it so much that mu husband and I bought two more to give as gifts to people who have bad knees. They will get a lot of use for my bad ankle, knees, and neck (and sometimes shoulder). And when we need HEAT, they can be heated in the microwave. It can also go around your waist if needed for low back pain.

I have severe arthritis and bone spurs in my knees but I walk at least 3 miles every day as exercise. I use these first thing in the morning while getting ready for work and I put these on at night when I am finished exercising. I love these and they do help. The only issue is I wish it would include is a second pouch so I can ice both knees at the same time. I plan to make myself a second pouch but I love these.

I've seen many ice packs claim to be flexible. Either they were very rigid once frozen, or didn't stay cold long enough. These are the exception. I bought 2 sets while recovering from surgery, and to be honest, I decided to replace all of my ice packs with these, including the ones I tended to use for migraines. The sleeves feel a bit flimsy, so we'll see how long they last, but I can always wrap the ice pack in a cloth or towel in the future. Best of all, they are quite flexible and stay cold long enough to be useful.

These things are great. I don't use the heat option, so this is just about freezing (I have arthritis in both knees, really bad in one and almost no soft tissue behind the patella, but heat doesn't help). I liked the first set so much, I bought a second set. That gets me to the only real drawback I can speak to from the cool side...the packs don't stay cold a terribly long time, maybe 20 minutes or so, depending on the ambient heat and how badly my knee has heated up. However, at this cost, the solution was simple, get a second. Even though you probably don't want to put 80 minutes of ice uninterrupted, they do take a bit of time to re-freeze. One unexpected benefit, my worse knee tends to lock and want to bend all kinds of ways a knee isn't supposed to bend. The strap is flexible, Velcro attachment, and you can put it on as loosely or tightly as you wish. Tightly enough to walk a bit while wearing it, and enough to provide some support, like a good flexible knee brace. No plan to test heat option, but the combo of direct cooling, fabric protection that protects your skin, and as much or as little bracing support makes this a winner in my book. I just wish I had these 40 years ago, when I first began damaging body parts.

Works well for ankle, knee, wrist, and other spot areas where you are trying reduce inflammation. The cold packs are a little stiff when they come out of the freezer, but you can press down on the pack to mold it your joint. They stay cold longer than some of the other packs I have used. I ihave not tried the heat therapy, but the cold therapy works very well.

This was my first time purchasing an ice pack of any kind. I have a broken foot that is shattered and needed something better than ice in a baggie. I asked my mom to get one at the store, but thought it would be nice to have at least two. This one is the perfect choice. It’s far superior to the regular ho-hum one my mom bought. This one came with two and a pocket with strap to secure it to whatever body part needed it. On a plus side, it can be heated for the times when the warmth is needed. I almost wish I had a bigger one for larger areas, but for now, it does a fine job on my foot.

I bought these and the size did not work for me, or the strap, but I was going to keep them anyway because the pack is nice, soft and flexible for a great price, I did contact the company about a larger pack and a longer strap, they sent me there upgraded version when it became available and it's great!! This size is perfect it covers my shoulder and I can do stuff while wearing it, and the straps are conceded to the pack which I personally like, I'm always miss placing the cover n strap for the smaller ones

I have multiple problematic joint issues and am constantly icing some part of my body. These cold packs get cold within a reasonable amount of time in the freezer and stay cold for a superior amount of time. They are a bit "frozen" when first taken out of the freezer, but that doesn't deter me. I simply put a pack on whatever joint in question and within a minute or two, the pack is malleable and easily conforms to the shape it needs to. They get cold enough that I initially put a thin cloth barrier over my skin to protect it, though depending on where I'm putting it, this extra protection may or may not be required. I'd recommend setting a timer when you begin using it, to gauge how long you need or ought to keep it on. Generally, my other cold packs get warm enough after the prescribed 20 min that I don't worry about being "on the money" time-wise to remove them. With these packs, depending on the location, I'll stick to the 20 min rule, especially with my skinny knees. The cover is soft and comfortable. I recommend these highly, and as my other older packs wear out, I'll replace them with these. (I'm an ice girl and haven't tried them on the heated side so I can't comment on that.)
