This tiny little gadget is a joy to have. Not much expecting if it would work but somehow I needed to try it and it definitely works. I wish I bought this earlier! Comes in a small reclosable container which is easy to put away. All you need is a longer than usual bread knife and then, slice away. I have not tried it for bread but I am sure it will work as long as your bread size is within the height accommodated in the height of the two slicer ends. Change of Mind, Great Product

I initially gave these a bad review, but I take it back as it was my lack of knowledge on my part. You need a really long serrated knife 10"-13" to clip these to each end of knife and use as a saw keeping them firmly on top of the counter as you are slicing across. They work perfectly!!!! I ordered the Fat Daddio Cake slicer but now I realize that these would have been fine for home use.

Professional Cake Decorator, not happy with purchase.

You need a very thin and very long knife to be able to use these. They’ve actually scratched my knifes when I force these things on. If I had the choice to buy these again or something else.... I would go with something else.

Great Product

I love baking cakes and decorating them, but slicing layers has always been an ordeal to get them totally even. These little slicers are perfect. I bought a long knife to use and it is a breeze making layers. I just hope the springs never loosen up!

Great gadget

Best darned kitchen gadget I’ve used in a long time. Does exactly the job it is meant to,do and is easy to use. No more frustrating crooked slicing of layer cakes for me. This is far superior to the wire tipe. I have a very good bread knife that this fits onto and the combo is unbeatable for accuracy and ease of use. Highly recommended!

Best cake slicer invented yet. I have several other type with the blades or wire that are worthless. I would buy it again. Just make sure you have a long enough knife to cut larger cakes

Even layers easier than ever!

I read all of the reviews before purchasing this item. Many of them stated the spring mechanism failed but I have used mine multiple times in the spring is still strong as ever. These Little devices make cutting even layers very easy. I wish they did have a few more level options but I make do. The one thing is you need a long knife.

Need a long bread knife to use with

I saw some YouTuber was use this to cut the cake so I got one too. I do like them and it’s very easy to use and clean! But you have to make sure you have a long bread knife to use with. My knife is not long enough, it perfectly cut my 6 inches cake but not my 8 inches cake.
