Good to Get If You Have a Kindle because the Charge Ports Keep Breaking

Thank goodness we got this for my son's latest Kindle, because less than a year after buying it, it has the same problem as his old one - the charge port is loose and the Kindle can't be charged. When we replaced his previous one (for which we did NOT have the warranty) the Amazon rep said that it would probably not happen again, but since this was our 5th kindle between 3 of us in the last several years, we bought it. We received his replacement in 2 days and a shipping label to return the broken one. I would recommend this for anyone buying a Kindle.

Had my fire for 3months. Started acting. Strange, eventually contacted Amazon and they had me return it. A week later, I received a replacement.

I’ve only purchased a couple of these types of warranties over the years, and I’ve never had the occasion to use one until today. After cracking my screen, I called in on a Saturday, got great service from a friendly agent, and my replacement kindle is showing up on Monday. This is a good buy and I’ll do it again when I buy a new device.

I rarely purchase extra insurance, but did so due to the comments by those purchasing Kindle Fire 7th generation, that they had their battery charger stop functioning after their 30 day warranty was expired. Since it was on sale along with the Kindle, I felt it was a worthwhile expense. I hope I won't have to use it, but it is comforting to know that I have a two year guarantee which I feel certain will be there if necessary.
