I always dreaded giving urine samples. I’m a large lady and giving a sample is not an easy thing to do. Once when I went to a facility, I was asked by one of the female clinicians if I wanted to use “a hat”. I had no idea what that was. She handed me this plastic thing that when turned upside down actually did look like a hat with wings! You place it on the toilet seat and pee. It collects in the “hat” and you pour your sample into the container they give you......done, dry hands, dry sample container! I emptied the remainder into the toilet and rinsed out the “hat”. The clinician told me to just throw it in the trash, so reluctantly, I did. It’s made of smooth, hard plastic, so I thought it should be recycled after washing it. When I got home I Googled it and found that Amazon sells the very same ones! Knowing I’d need one of these every few months, I bought a pack of them. When I know I have to give a sample, I bring one of them in a nice floral bag and nobody knows but me. I’ll never dread giving a urine sample again! And yes, they get washed and sanitized after each use.

I bought these after learning I had kidney stones. In these uncertain times it's unclear how long it will take to actually get into a urologists office so I figured in the meantime I could order some of these in order to try to catch the stones. I originally bought the 5 pack so that I would have them for a while but then I realized I have 4 bathrooms in my house and having one of these in each sure beats having to go to the same bathroom every time. While they're not the sturdiest I've ever seen they're certainly getting the job done. Will buy again if I need them.

Love how these "hats" came in a pkg of 10 instead of 100. These were ordered for home use and the amount in the pkg is perfect for the home consumer. They are just like the ones I use in the hospital and will be helpful in the care of a family member.

This poddy 'hat,' worked well to measure bladder size at the prescription of my dynamic gynecologist/urologist. At 74, bladder problems and prolapse are common in women, and this is a tool for anyone needing to collect and measure or test urine specimens. It can be placed under the toilet seat, and is lightweight and easily rinsed and reused.

I have a chronic kidney issue and need to check for UTIs occasionally. These hats are perfect for capturing urine for testing with the strips. They’re like the “hats” we used in the hospital for measuring intake and output.

Doctor requested collection and measurements of urine. None of the drug stores had these on hand, so ordered it from Amazon and was delivered in 2 days.

Cannot hover over the little cups any longer. These work great!

As before, the specimen collection items were as described, arrived on time, and we are grateful! thank you.

This is exactly what I needed and was perfect. Much easier to use than trying to hold a cup in place.

My husband’ s doctor ordered an 24 hour urine. This enabled him to do that. We tried it on a elongated toilet seat and it did not work. However it did work on a round toilet seat. I even put it in the dishwasher in case we needed a clean sample. It survived.
