Very slim but very well made - it is strictly for appearance not adding any structure - you get two - someone will admire it so much you’ll give the second away but don’t worry they really last - I had the same set on another car for two years and it still looked new when I traded it in - just replaced because I need two holes on this car and not four.

March 2018 4 stars. Bought these for my wife's SUV. They look great but do feel a bit cheap. I hope they last a good while. Update Aug 2018. 5 stars now: It's been 5 months and so far they still look great that I just bought another set for my new truck.

These easy-to-install frames are a perfect fit for my license plates. The only issue I had was that the included screwdriver bit is tough to use. Better to just use a standard screwdriver. Also, I wish that they had included more of the non-locking type of caps or at least made the locking caps smaller. They aren't all that difficult to remove, despite many of the other reviews, so long as you have channel locks to grip them and maybe a rag to prevent scratching them, which is nice. But their bulkiness is a bit much, so I strongly preferred the non-locking caps. Otherwise, the frames are really nice.

I like these as much as I disliked the other set I bought. Which was so wide at the bottom I blocked the slogan at the bottom of my plate. These, however, are narrow enough to avoid blocking anything of importance on the plate. The holes line up perfectly, and the decorative screw covers fit onto my screws snugly, hopefully they will stay in place.

These handsome frames are the perfect complement for the front license plate re-locator I got for my car. Well constructed and has only two mounting holes is just what I needed for my application. The frames have tabs in the back to hold the license plate in the frame and prevent them from popping out. The edges are smoothly rounded that cover the plate and protect against accidental cuts.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a lightweight frame that just provided a more finished look. I like the fact that it came with lots of different hardware, though I ended up using the screws that my license plate was already using. The different sized caps were a nice touch though. Not only did I drop this while I was trying to attach to my car, but I have the front one on a bracket that sticks out in front of the car down low enough that I scraped it when entering a steep driveway. In neither case did the black finish crack or scrape off. While you can see the dent and scrapes if you look closely, you can't tell anything from more than a foot away - very happy with that.

There actually are a pretty nice set. I bought a more expensive set costing me three times as much as these and compared the two. Couldn't find any difference. These may be a cheaper stainless, but If these do fall apart, for the money I can buy three sets of these. By that time I'll sell the truck anyway. I think they will be just fine.

I really like these license plate frames. I chose them because they are aluminum, which is what I wanted as opposed to plastic or stainless steel. Second, I like the slim bottom because I want the entire plate to show, including my state's slogan which appears at the bottom of the plate. A plate with a thicker bottom would cover it up, at least partially. And third, my state's plates are reflective white with black letters/numbers (at least the non-personalized plates are) and these frames go along with the black and white theme well. All in all, I'm very happy with my choice of license plate frames.

Absolutely awesome cosmetic improvement for the price. Previously just had the plate with no covers and the awful rusty bolts provided by the factory/dealership. This slims the profile of the plate slightly while not covering any of the (Oregon) tags. It's a simple style, but that's part of why I like it. The matte black looks classy and understated. The cover has a couple of small brackets to hold the bottom of the plate in place and keep it from sliding around, which is a nice touch. The metal is fairly thin but all provided hardware, including the frame, seems to be a good quality. The instructions were well written and clear, and the inclusion of a screwdriver was a cool little extra. I used the screwdriver provided for installation, and though it's not quite as comfy as a regular screwdriver it worked fine. It was the perfect size for the bolts and installation took minutes. For anyone rocking a dealer plate frame or no plate frame, I cannot recommend this enough. It's a great upgrade.

Bought a new vehicle and used this product when attaching the license plate. For me, they look good and match the trim of the vehicle. I have only had them for two months, so not sure how they will hold up over time. At this point I can't see why they will not continue to look great.
