This is the greatest thing since automatic cars. I am 72 and disabled. I can't pick up a 5 gallon gas can. So i tried to pour it into a 2 gallon can. A gallon poured on my foot. I finally managed to get the lawn mower filled but it took me an hour. Well I needed to fill it again and I'm at wits end because I know I can't lift that big gas can. So i went to Amazon and found this. Ordered it. Today I went to fill lawn mower. It's so great it's like I'm at a gas station. So easy. Instructions well written. Easy to follow. Now I will be able to fill my generator. Best thing I've bought this year. Instead of being in tears i had the lawn mower filled in 5, I said 5, minutes. I Love It.

Worked perfectly for draining my 5 gallon gas can into my truck. I was surprised at how quickly it pumped. I liked that it auto-shut off when the gas can was nearly empty. Understandably, there was still a bit left at the bottom that was too low to be sucked up. I was able to easily maneuver the gas can around a bit (so the remaining gas congregated to a corner), turn it back on, and get nearly all of it drained out. It was so nice to not bring the gas smell back into my house. I also left the pump outside for 2 days to air out before putting it up (and removed the batteries so they don’t corrode). Also, I purchased one for my dad’s birthday.

Trying to transfer gas from a 5 gallon can to my truck, mower, or generator, is rather difficult on a good day. The gas can has a carry handle on the top, but not typically on the side to aid in pouring the gas. And to complicate matters, the gas cans being sold today dribble and spill gas. Very frustrating. This product came with 3 different adapters. The smallest one fit my Midwest 5 gallon gas cans perfectly. The pump is surprisingly quiet, yet moves gasoline quickly. When the gas can is almost empty, I tip it up to allow the pump to transfer the last of the fuel. There's also no worries of overfilling a small gas tank on a generator, mower, etc. When their tanks are full, the pump stops. Great product!

I love this pump! It comes with various adapters to fit different gas cans spouts and pumps very quickly. I don't actually use the auto shutoff feature as I am usually filling my generator I use while camping and it has a strainer in the fill lid. It drains back nicely so you don't have overspill when removing it from the can and the tank. It is very fast at filling. I have previously had the other "wand" style pumps that work well but are rather slow compared to this pump. I like this pump so much, I am considering buying another one to use strictly for water to pump from my extra water tanks I bring when boondocking, hunting and camping to refill the main tank of the RV.

The Terapump TRFA01 is the best thing since sliced bread! Makes filling my lawn mower, quads, other lawn tools, etc a breeze! No more spilling gas everywhere! Fit perfect on my 5 gal gas can. Clip it onto what you're filling, press the start button and it automatically stops when full. Have had for a few months now and use it weekly and the batteries are still going strong. EDIT: Have owned this pump for five months now and two weeks ago it stopped working correctly. I replaced the batteries which didn't help and the filter isn't clogged. If I hold the on button down it trickles out, sometimes. I contacted the company and they were quick to respond but expect me to ship the pump back to them at my cost. They said they would send me a new one IF they find it to be defective. The pump IMO is already expensive (although when it was working I loved it) and to add another $15 or so to ship it back is rediculous. I am not changing my star rating at this time until this is resolved.

I notice sometimes that reviews get combined on different products from the same company, This review is for the TRFA01 4AA Battery Powered Pump. I have only owned this for a couple of days now. Like others on here I get fuel perks that allow me to save on up to 30 gallons of fuel, but only 1 vehicle and 1 transaction. If you try and keep the pump on and fill another vehicle , they cut the pump off!. But our cars only hold 16 or 17 gallons. So i started looking at one of those portable fuel tanks on wheels that holds 15 gallons to take with me when i redeem my gas perks. But i also started to consider the sheer weight of those things when full. Gas weighs a little over 6 pounds per gallon. So add the weight of the tank itself , maybe 5 lbs. and you are in the neighborhood of 95 lbs. So I asked myself , am i really going to try and get the extra gas if i have to load and unload that kind of weight each time? Not gonna do it, i know me. In the past I have used (3) 5 gallon cans. The problem is getting the gas from the can into the car, you either have to use a funnel, which gets messy or turn the can upside down to empty after half way. Unfortunately all my cans are the NEW EPA cans and even though i have 2 different styles , they leak when turned upside down, either due to age of the seals around the no vent mechanism or just their design, definitely messy.(they work fine when used upright as intended). So I ordered this after reading some reviews and am now convinced that this is the way to go after emptying 3 cans of various volume into 2 different vehicles. On my sedan i was even able to set the can on the ground and it worked nicely, emptying almost 5 full gallons in to my tank. I would say as a guesstimate, it emptied the can in about 4 minutes. On the minivan i just held it level in one hand and it pumped it out in no time. I am 100% sure this will also make filling my generators, garden tractors and other equipment a lot easier with less mess. Will probably order another as a gift. Also a nice to know feature is that if they batteries die and you only find 2 batteries, you can just use those in the 2 center slots and it will work. With kids , i am sure i can always scavenge at least 2! Hope this helps someone.

first I would like to say I like to write reviews after a few months of use to test the product. I bought this item June 10, 2018 and I have been using it at least 2 to 3 times a week to pump about 2 gallons a time. It is working great, I am very satisfied, the adapters that come with it allow the use of several different plastic style 5 gallon gas cans with ease. I am still on my original set of 4 batteries and still pumps as fast as the day I got it. I would not hesitate to buy another one or to recommend buying this pump. It just works great I will update this review if there are any changes with the pump

I bought this to transfer gasoline from 5 gallon cans to my generator and visa versa. I used it and it worked perfectly. I was skeptical of the battery's powering a pump but it pumped just fine. Sure beats using a funnel and trying to hold a 5 gallon container to pour in gasoline. Just be sure that you use the correct fitting for the gas container because if you don't it will leak. Apparently a small amount of gasoline returns back into the container via a small hole in the inside of the cap. If you are leaking gas, check this as I had that problem. But once I figured it out it worked perfectly, complete with auto shut off when the tank gets full.

I have to refuel my jet ski out on the lake but there is no marina. Trying to fill it up with a gas can is a major pain especially with the new style cans, they are horrible!!!!! When I saw this I thought it would be great if it worked the way they said it did. Got out there on the lake and left tank on the side of the boat and put hose in Jet ski and turned it on. It works GREAT!!!!! Did not spill a drop in the lake which is very important to me. The end of the hose has a clip that keeps it in the filler neck of the ski so it didn't pop out when the waves came in. I was also concerned about it getting all the gas out of the gas tank and it did. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I refueled my lawn tractor and didn't spill it all over like I used to. This thing is great, I will be ordering another!!! Works exactly as advertised.

Works very well. Makes life much easier. I chain all four wheels on my plow truck for the winter. I fuel it with 5 gallon cans but all the newer cans pour very slowly and need to be held for some time This is so much faster and easier. You can fuel without spilling a drop and it's quite fast. I also use it to fuel my ATV's which is also a big time saver. The unit can pull almost all the fuel from the can. I have would recommend it and have. I'm still on the first set of batteries.
