good swing gate opener
husband installed by himself. we actually bought one at Home Depot (or was it Lowe's) but that one died before the year was out (we were not offered a warranty at the time we bought) so we bought this one online (and got a warranty) to replace but husband was able to fix the original one and we're keeping this one as a backup.

Great Product
I purchased the new edition MM360 to replace my old FM350 which after 10 years of performance had finally given out. Since it had been a while since I installed my last one, I followed the instructions and it was pretty straightforward and easy. Since my posts were already in, it was all just a matter of replacing brackets, mounting the arm, making sure everything was level and then connecting it to the power. When all is said and done it took me about an hour. I am going to add their 10W solar charger to this when I get the chance so it will trickle charge my battery. It says it has this new dual sense technology which will make my gate stop when something gets in the way when it’s either opening or closing. So far it’s been running great just like the old one. Overall, great reliable product and easy to install.

Great value, easy enough for amateurs to install
So my husband and I installed this ourselves, to have an automatic gate (we also got the heavy-duty lock) in a downtown part of the city that didn't cost 8 grand. Main thing....make sure whatever gate you use is LEVEL! before installing....realize the mechanism and lock will add weight and may require additional adjustments to be level. And change the remote code to customize for you. When we first installed it, it kept opening closing on its own....a neighbor with a garage door is the suspected culprit. That stopped when we reprogrammed the openers. Also, after installation, it kept stopping too short of fully open. Called customer service at mighty mule...very helpful, easy fix... no problems after three months of daily use. It *looks like you should order a small battery to go with....we ended up needing to buy a marine battery at a big box store for ~50$...the other is pretty worthless for this application. Overall great investment, just read the directions, be prepared to spend some time on this if you're not accustomed to this sort of thing, and make use of their very helpful customer service. Would definitely buy again for security and value!

return of defective unit
the replacement works fine. It is for my son who has heart problems. the replacement should have been returned sooner but he was ill. It is being returned now - so please refund the charge for the replacement. Thank you. T.M. Hampson

Awesome product!
This is the second Mighty Mule gate opener we've purchased. The first one lasted over twelve years. This one works just as well. The openers are a little slow, especially when it first starts opening or closing. Don't get impatient and start clicking - that will only cause issues. Just be patient. For someone who is disabled, it's a blessing not to have to worry about manually opening and closing a gate.

Great product. Last one hit by lightening
Great product. Last one hit by lightening. This was a replacement for a 4 YO model. Well worth the money, and almost anyone can install it with basic hand tools. REALLY detailed instructions and tech support from knowledgeable people who speak English.

Great product and a good price
Instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took about an hour to install and adjust it. What I didn't like was the remote that came with it doesn't work. The other ones I ordered works great. Mighty mule codes all the openers and remotes the same so watch the YouTube video to learn how to re set the codes

Great product would reccomend.
Not sure how this product doesn’t have 5 stars. It has performed exactly as described and was quite easy to install. I had to call customer service for help on connecting a my keypad to my opener and they answered my questions quickly and most importantly in English that I could understand.

Good Value for Money
I give this five stars for value for money. After eleven years, my 550 model died. I discovered the claim that both use the same motor, so I opted for the cheaper unit. A big plus is that all the electronics are inside the actuator housing, making it a cleaner installation. Compared to the more expensive model, it lacks the beeping warning that it's about to move and the soft closing, which is where the 550/560 slows just before it closes. Turns out that's not a real big deal. Closing speed is the same as the old unit, and there have been some minor but useful improvements to brackets and such. The receiver seems to be able to receive reliably for a somewhat greater distance. If I get eleven years out of this one, I'm very happy. My gate does not have a center horizontal tube, so I simply attached a 48-inch piece of 3/4" square steel tubing in the appropriate place to give me a good mounting point for the moving actuator arm.
