- GREATER EFFICIENCY - LESS NOISE AT HIGHER AIRFLOW: At low fan speed, the motor noise is key. A motor developed in Germany with a new alloy/lubricant combination reduced friction and noise.
- INNOVATIVE DESIGN ENABLES QUIET AND EFFICIENT VENTILATION: The innovative design of the fan blades improves the airflow and facilitates a highly efficient ventilation.
- DIFFERENT INSTALLATION: Exhaust hot air out of the case. Intake cool air into the case. 3-pin connector for mainboard and power supply that also works with 4-pin headers.
- LONG SERVICE LIFE: The Fluid Dynamic Bearing comes with an oil capsule that avoids lubricant leakage. Thus this bearing is as quiet as a sleeve bearing.
- FAN SPEED: 800 RPM (@ 12V DC).

Arctic Rocks
Pros: - Price - High CFM - Silent - PWM and PST Cons: - None The black fans in my case became a vibrating, noisy, clicking mess, so I sprang for one of these since I already had a regular black and white Arctic F14. Love these fans, they're incredibly quiet and move a ton of air. Temperatures are down by a few degrees across the board. Good quality, solid performance, and the ability to daisy chain this to another fan is awesome. I now have my rear and top exhaust fans running on the same fan curve and it works wonderfully. Side Note: It might be a little hard to tell from the pictures but this fan isn't Black. It's grey. Not really a big deal but I primarily bought this one over a regular F14 because I thought it was black and because it was somehow cheaper. Not a huge deal. Anyways, highly recommended. Seriously <$10 for this quality, reliability, and performance is awesome.

Great for performance PC that stays on
These fans are the nicest I have tried. I recently bought an Antec P100 quiet case and wanted to replace the standard 120mm fan that came with it with 2 140mm fans in the front. I like how these fans operate at extremes. If my computer is sitting idle, they are stopped. When I overclock and run the CPU at 100%, they can keep up and help maintain a safe temp. I even like the fact that they are grey and do not have flashy LEDs. They sit behind the front grill behind a door, and the blades are easy to see if I want to. And, they are built to last. And, I like to keep my computer on, so it feels more energy efficient to have them off. Also, I did daisy chain the two together, so that was a nice touch. Finally, I like the price which is really good for a PWM fan with no LEDs. A few caveats - My Asus motherboard has an optimization mode setting that generates a fan curve. Unlike my other fans, this does not generate a good control curve. So, I simply put it on PWM control with a standard or quiet curve setting. I almost returned it because the fan was too thick for my case screws. It is 27mm thick and my Asus screws are 25mm long. After some research and a wasted trip to a PC supply store, I learned that these are also called radiator screws. And that I needed #6-32 1 1/4" screws, which is available at the local hardware store as a pack for just over $1. Also, even though the hard drive cage seemed to be in the way, I was able to install the fans without a problem. So glad I didn't give up! I am happy with this purchase. These are quality fans for less.

Amazing fans. I refuse to run anything other than Arctic PWM fans in my builds. Noctua is not only significantly more expensive, but looks worse (Arctic cables are unfortunately unsleeved, so Noctua has that going for them), and does not perform any better. Arctic fans are always dead silent (when they do ramp up high, all you hear is the sound of air flowing) and actually may perform slightly better than Noctua. I've had both Noctua and Arctic fans in my cases and prefer Arctic due to aesthetic, performance, and cost. Also, these fans work very well for water cooling applications. Of the many water-cooled builds I've used these on, they have kept my temperatures and sound levels very low. I have six of these 140s running on a 420mm radiator right now at 60% and they're barely audible (only a whisper of air movement is present). Arctic is an excellent company. They also make the leading thermal pastes and pads, so it's no surprise their fans are equally excellent.

Impressive Low Cost Fans
Since I wanted three of these for my new case, I figured I'd get the five pack for the same price. I ended up only using 2 because I couldn't quite squeeze one in the top exhaust spot due to interference. However, I'm very happy with the results. I connected one to the other using its PWM Sharing and then ran the connection to a motherboard fan header. Even running these at low speeds results in a dramatic improvement in CPU and GPU temperatures under load while at a pleasant volume.

Good Exhaust Fan for PWM Cooling
I decided to use this fan to fill an empty exhaust vent on my PC case, my thoughts are below: PROS: 1. PST allows fan to be connected to the same MOBO node as the rest of the exhaust fans. This allows total control over airflow inside the case. 2. The fan appears to be high quality as advertised. With PWM enabled I hear no more/less noise than before it was installed. 3. Appears to be unaffected by horizontal mounting. 4. Has been run at high speeds for extended periods with no defects. CONS: 1. Can be a tight fit during installation. Overall I was very satisfied with this fan

Love this Fan
I needed a very quiet fan to help push some hot air away from a Tube Audio Amplifier in my bookshelf. I bought 2 other USB powered fans on Amazon, one described as Ultra Quiet, and the other "Whisper Quiet". Both of them were loud enough to be heard over the music coming out of my speakers at volumes enough to be heard down the hall. In desperation, I thought about a computer case fan, and bought this. This is indeed "ultra quiet". If I close my door, and if the AC/Heat is off, I can barely hear this if I am standing right next to it. Once anything else happens in the room, any sound created by this fan vanishes. Because I am not running it in a computer case, I needed to buy a 12v power supply, but Amazon sells those, and they can control 2 fans. I now have a fan that turns on when I turn on the stereo, and it cannot be heard even at low music volumes. This one is a good size (140mm), but its perfect for my needs. I might buy a smaller one and mount it to the bottom of the shelf above my amp, with this one sitting on the side.

As advertised
I just received this product yesterday. It was delivered on time, and is exactly what I expected based on the description. 140mm PWM case fan with a 4 pin connection, not a three pin with a 4 pin molex. I've had that happen as well. Installation was straight forward, and while the fan itself did not have arrows for the exhaust air direction, the box did. This left the guess work out, and installation simple. After installation, I went into the BIOS just to test the fan noise at different speeds. I cranked the settings as high as they would go and did not find the noise distracting. Any time my process/GPU is under load I usually have headphones or speakers on. The little noise this fan did make at full speed in either case would not be noticeable. Some reviewers may be testing this in dead silence and therefore find it to be too loud. This fan works for me needs. For the price I paid and the size of fan, the noise at full throttle is very acceptable. For my typical web-browsing or work needs, the fan is typically not moving using my settings. Even if the fan kicks on, I found myself having to check while working to see if it was moving or not. Only at top speed could I hear the fan, and that was because I was paying attention. Any other heavy GPU/CPU loads which would have kicked the fan on, I would be heavily distracted and therefore would not even notice what little noise it did make. For air movement, it's not a leaf-blower, so don't expect that. At base operating speeds, and top settings I can feel air being pushed out of the fan. Some commented that this doesn't push enough air, but it was adequate for my needs. It's an $8 fan, so the product has more than met expectations. The blade color is a vibrant white. I do get concerned about what this will look like with time, but that will be true for any plastic. For now, it looks great contrasted with the case it's in. Build quality is nice, it doesn't feel flimsy at all. It would be nice if the cables had a shrink coating or mesh cover, but for the $8 I don't expect such things.

Substantially quieter than Corsair's AF140 LED Quiet Editions and moves more air

Good air movement and low noise for a great price
The P prefix fans are for air pressure, not air flow; you use them when you have obstructions to the airflow inside your case, but honestly I think everyone should be using these for intake, since you should be drawing air through a mesh filter to limit dust in your computer. These fans are nearly silent at low speeds --like, I wasn't sure they were spinning, silent. At higher rpm I can hear them but they are certainly not loud, I found them to be quieter than the fans they replaced, even though pressure fans are supposed to be louder than air flow (which they replaced). Most importantly, the temps in my PC are down since the swap. The cable length is find, the splitters are nice. You get the best pricing on these in the 5 pack, assuming you need 5. I wouldn't recommend the single pack unless you really only need one (or need to replace a defective one). Oh, my only gripe: the included screws have silver heads instead of black?! I fixed it with a sharpie, but still...

The arctic "f" series are my favorite fans. I've owned 92mm
The arctic "f" series are my favorite fans. I've owned 92mm, 120mm, and 140mm and they have all been the quietest fans I've had in those size ranges. They're also the most affordable fans that claim these performance numbers and actually deliver. I'm not equipped to scientifically test static pressure or cfm, but I know they're extremely quiet and move plenty of air to keep my overclocked cpu and GPU cooler than the fans I have replaced. One thing I have noticed is that these fans are extremely balanced. I've run arctic fans next to other brands under the lighting in my case and where the other fans appear wobbly, the Arctics do not.
