Elegant-looking doorstop
I wanted brushed nickel door stops for my newly remodeled kitchen. I bought one of these Lizavo DS-002 door stops and was so pleased with it that I bought a second one. My contractor installed them so I cannot report of the ease of installation, but I can say that they are a handsome addition to my kitchen. You will need to give the door an extra tug to loosen the hold as this door stop is very sturdy and really latches on to the other part, but it does so quietly. One of the chief factors I wanted in my new kitchen was very silent drawers, doors, etc. when in action. This certainly fit that requirement -- no slamming! I also wanted everything to have understated elegance, and this met that requirement. Recommended.

Average Holding Force 15 lbs
These are very nicely made. Unlike other magnetic catches, they don't have a tendency to bounce free when the door hits the stop at a high speed. The holding force is adequate to keep doors from slamming shut when it is windy, or to keep the door from swinging if the hinge axis is not vertical, but is not so strong as to make it difficult to close the door (which can be adjusted as others have noted). I installed 10, then measured the holding force of each. The force at which each individual one broke free was repeatable to an accuracy of less than 1 lb. The average load at which they broke free was 15 lbs, with a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 22 lbs. Some of the variability has to do with how well the two parts are aligned; I was able to increase the holding force of some by tweaking the position of Part B (the smaller part, which mounts on the door), but did not adjust all of them. I estimate all were installed within 1/8" of ideal alignment before measuring.

Nice design and well made.
These latches are attractive and high-quality including both the finish and mechanism. I bought these because I live in a windy area and like to leave the windows open for cross ventilation. To prevent doors from violently slamming, I needed to use either rubber wedges or weighted stops. If I forgot to replace them in the fog of a midnight bathroom trip, I would awake to a loud CRASH. These are perfect are perfect alternatives. I like the shock absorbing mechanism that gently catches the door when opened. One word of caution: the magnetic latching power is very sensitive to proper alignment of the two parts of the latch, so be careful to properly align them when installing them.

Works great
I only just installed it and so far it works well on my door from the house to the garage (solid door with spring closer). I thought it was a little expensive for a door stop. Installation was easy but I have a part from the box that I can't figure out what it's for (see photo).

LIFESAVER!! (or should I say, FINGERsaver!)
The garage door to our new house is on a spring hinge and VERY heavy. When the door swung shut on our toddler's fingers, we realized that the door was a potential finger chopper! After researching lots of options online, I decided on the Lizavo DS-002 Stainless Steel Soft-Catch Magnetic Door Stop in Brushed Satin Nickel, Wall Mount based on the reviews. THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING!! It was easy enough to install (took my husband about 10 minutes), and though we were worried about the strength of the magnet at first (it seemed way too strong and we were worried it would pull the baseboard apart or something), the strength was JUST RIGHT for the weight of the door. It really is soft catch. There are no loud snaps when the magnets attach or detach. I would seriously recommend this product to anyone who has young children - because they seem to always get their fingers stuck in the weirdest places!

Understated (Manu. needs to update their desc.) GREAT product!

Surprisingly good!
Excellent doorstop, but maybe a little too much tug for some users, or too much magnetic pull for lighter fiberglass doors. Easily corrected, though: just put a little felt dot on the catch, and it cuts the magnetism just enough and makes the door catch and release more easily and quietly. Otherwise, great purchase. I'm going to buy another in future.

Closes gently. Holds the door solidly. Easy to break the magnetic hold. Single issue is trivial. Five Stars, easily.
This is great. Door hits it and it gently compresses a bit then holds it open rock-solid. I was worried it would hit with a clunk. Nope. Nice gentle impact. I've got it mounted on a solid baseboard molding (1/2") and a solid door, so I can't address the problems with mounting on wall board or a hollow core door, but in my installation the magnet is just about the perfect hold. Easy to break, but solid when holding the door open. I replaced one of those kick-down things, which I always hated. This is so much better. Wish I knew about this thing years ago. Only issue for me: I dont like the stainless. Wish it came in other darker finishes, deally an oil-rubberd bronze, or even antiqued brass. It's a bit glaring but it works so well, I'll live with it.

quality product
I am pleased with the product. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, hold the door from closing. I installed this in an attached 3 car garage that has the 2 car side attached to the 1 car side by a walk through opening that uses a steel door for separation. The 2 car side is a man cave that has a 55 inch tv and seating. When the weather is nice I open both sides of the garage and the wind often blew the door shut separating the 2 garages. The Lizavo soft catch magnetic door stop corrected that issue. It holds the door securely until I am ready to close it. The soft touch mechanism prevents the bounce release when the door is swung open too hard. Easy to install and I found instructions great.
