Learning to spin...plus...

Loving this roving. I'm teaching myself to spin with a Turkish spindle and this stuff has been awesome. There is a bit of grass from time to time, but it's easy to pick out and keep going. The staple length is about 4.5 to 5 inches so it is forgiving for someone just learning. I went from park and draft to actually spinning within a week, and I believe the long staple length has had a lot to do with it. 4 June 2019 Decided to dye some staples for fly tying. I'm using rit dye mixed with denatured alcohol mixed in a Gatorade bottle. This stuff took colors well. This is from letting them soak overnight. These colors are exactly what I was expecting from this dye.

Great for cores

Perfect roving for creating the cores of my felted projects. There’s a bunch in the bag and it is soft and comes apart easily enough to be convenient but not so easily that it’s a hindrance. Overall, I would buy it again.
