Excellent for WD My Passport (2TB)

My WD My Passport 2TB fits great in this case. The build quality of this case feels amazing. It feels well made and durable. It's not too bulk either. The strap and clip that are included with this case are also made well and are high quality. The extra pockets so SD cards and the cable are an excellent addition. The cushioning inside the case feel firm but soft enough to protect the drive from an damage (I will not be testing this either). All in all, I highly recommend this case to anyone and every, especially if you plan on traveling with your external drive.

The right level of protection for my portable disk drive.

It fits the Seagate Expansion 1TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 (STEA1000400) with enough room for the USB cord and very little else. The drive seems very well protected. I haven't spilled coffee on it (yet) but only the zipper will leak, if it does. I think you'd have to go up to something like a Pelican case to do better -- which would be overkill for my needs. I like that there is a divider to separate the drive from the cable, projecting them from scatching each other. It adds a lot of bulk to the drive but padded protection is going to do that. It's no fault of the case but the fit with my drive is so tight that it makes zipping a little slow. If you open and close the case all day long, you might want a bigger one for this drive.

Decent quality semi-hard case

Purchased this case to protect a Toshiba 2TB portable hard drive. There is plenty of room for the hard drive, the cable and accessories. The case is semi-hard in that it hold its shape and is adequately padded inside to take a drop. Not certain how well it would stand up to crushing, but, then again, we don't plan on running over it. The zipper functions from both ends as does most luggage. Really questionable as to how well a zipper will withstand water intrusion. All-in-all, this case is well made and should stand up well to normal use.

Nice case

I just bought a Seagate Portable 2TB External HD (not one of the fancy slim ones or anything, just a regular ol' HD) and wanted to store it in a hard shell case since I can't find one of those rubber bumpers they sell for the slim version. My new HD fits this case perfectly - I was almost afraid it would be too small but it really is an *exact* fit, like a glove. I like the blue color, the hard cover (which shockingly doesn't reek of chemical odor like some of these plastic covers do when you first get them!), the strap/carabiner combo, good quality, right price. Just a really nice case, very happy with purchase.

Good Case Does the Job

I bought one in black and then reorder a blue and red. Good product for the price. Use to hold WD Passport 2TB and 4TB. the 4TB size would probably be the limit if storing a cable as well since there is a soft pad to cover the drive. Also fit a 500GB Clickfree drive (4 5/8") long. That is about the largest that will fit. New plastic always has a smell and I didn't notice this until some said something, but had to put it to my nose to tell. I'm sure it will fade after sitting out, but I don't really notice it. Also fits my Toshiba 500GB drive. So far pleased for what I need them.

Protective; some useless parts; adapts to add-ons

Bought two, a blue and a red case, for my two thicker Seagate Backup Plus 4TB USB 3.0 external hard disks. The cable fits snugly and the hard disk is protected by its padded leaf. A longer cable will fit nicely too as long as it can be rolled really flat (see note below). The zipper closes easily around the short cable and an adapter when laying flat on top of the hard disk. The one element I am not thrilled about is that totally superfluous black carabiner loop, which makes the case to stick up and not lay flat, aside from being a protruding catch-all contraption when storing the case in a tight spot, e.g., briefcase. The supplied lanyard and carabiner are of such low quality that one would instantly hesitate ever to use. All-in-all, a very good case for the price, however, with some useless parts. - Note: Instead of buying a dedicated connector cable, I opted to add a highly-rated "AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB 3.1 Gen1 Female Adapter" (great!). It fits nicely next to the short cable and does not hamper closing the case.

It Works

I’m not super nitpicky as the other reviews as to the flap of the padding that splits to cover the external hard drive. It doesn’t lay entirely flat but when you zip it up there are no problems. The color I ordered is blue but is quite off. I don’t really mind that since it looks like a black-ish color with a blue tint but certainly doesn’t look like the color of the photo. I’ve seen other reviews where the blue is there and looks like the photo but I’m really satisfied because it fits My Passport for Mac 2TB from WD. Sturdy hard case and for the price, it’s nice. Overall, I’m happy.

Excellent and Protective Hard Drive Carrying Case

I needed to travel with my hard drives and I didn't want anything happening to them, and while I luckily have not yet had to test a worst case scenario with this case (and hopefully never will), I can tell that this is a very sturdy and protective carrying case. It has one side with nice, impact absorbing bubbles and two straps to secure your hard drive in, a middle piece with impact absorbing bubbles and the hard drive case to surround your precious hard drive with impact absorbing bubbles. The material inside is quite soft so it will protect your hard drive. On the other side is a nice pocket to put the cord and other small items you may want to carry along. The zipper is strong and the outside is very sturdy, so that it can take some knocking around without hurting the drive. I have tried various hard drives in this case and they all fit, including the Seagate one pictured, an older WD My Passport drive, and a Toshiba Canvio drive, so it should fit most standard plug 'n' play drives. I highly recommend this case to protect your hard drives if you travel with them at all.

Good Carrying Case for Samsung T5 Portable SSD and nicely fit also two cables!

Finally I have found a case for my new Samsung T5 Portable SSD - 500GB. The case has plenty of space for the SSD and the two cables that cables that comes with. The cases that are suggested for the Samsung T5 may fit the unit itself but many complain that they do not fit the second needed cable. This case is well built and I now have spare room to add more small items, such as memory sticks.

A good fit for my Seagate portable drive

This little case is great for my Seagate "backup plus portable drive" it has a space for the drive and a space for a small usb cable or other small cables. I have an additional shock resistant cover on my drive, (in case I drop it while it isn't in the case) so it makes it quite snug in the case, but it still shuts well. I wish the middle liner were a little longer so it covered the whole drive, but I'm glad that it isn't so long that it interferes with the zipper while shutting the case.
