I don't write many reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to do so. Let me explain why. I had ordered the Kensun in the past two weeks and received it very promptly. The reviews on this little machine had been very positive and I have never been a fan nor had I any interest in having a gas powered compressor in my garage. So this unit looked as though it would do the trick. Packaging was good, the little bag it comes in is handy and the quality also seemed up to a good standard. Having been out of the country for three weeks, my cars tires needed some air, particularly one on my larger sedan, which was so low I could not have driven it to the gas station for a fill up. So I was excited to hook up the Kensun and take care of business. Did everything as explained, and then, nothing. The machine would start up, run for two seconds and shut off. I tried it on three different tires, changed from AC to DC and back, unplugged, reset, etc. but to no avail. Keep in mind that I couldn't move one of my cars, and you can understand that I was a little miffed. Returned the unit the next day and left an unhappy review. Not two days later, Gary from Kensun customer service sends me an email apologizing for my bad experience. He made the point that I may have ended up with a lemon, and that even cars selling for $30k have lemons among them. He then asked if they could send me another unit to see if this was indeed the case. I took him up on it. This was not some empty marketing talk. He not only send me another unit, but also asked for me to be in touch with him to let him know how things went. Well, received the unit today, and guess what, it works flawlessly! Gary was right, it had been a lemon, and I had been too quick to judge. I will be the first one to make a wrong a right. This little machine does what it promises to do and I am thrilled to own one now. Kudos to their customer service, not a given these days. It was refreshing to have this kind of response and follow through. Makes me trust the brand that much more, thus a fully deserved five stars. Thank you Gary and Kensun for handling this so professionally! Only tiny complaint (and others have mentioned it) is that the LCD display has to be at a very specific angle to be readable, not a big deal, but slightly annoying. Maybe you can fix that in the future.

My original review would have been minus 5 if it were allowed. Right out of th box it didn't work. I decided to send it back and ordered another one. Maybe I just got s bad one the first time around. I couldn't be happier with the second one. I have put air in my trailer tires, truck tires and car tires. It has worked flawlessly and I am very pleased. I am glad I have it a second chance. I have to update this review and say what a wonderful company this is. I would give them 5 stars just based on customer service. 15 months after I got this little compressor, it started sounding like it had rocks rumbling inside and then quit. I live in a rv full time and rely on this little gem to keep my tires pumped up before I move my trailer. I was sad but took a chance and called the company. The customer service person was very helpful and after verifying my purchase, said they would send another one out that very day. I was amazed. What a wonderful company. You can bet I will recommend their product. Thank Amazon for doing business with such a reputable company and a big thanks to Kensun. Keep up the great work..one very happy customer.

I'm very happy with this air compressor. It's very well made. It's as well designed and well crafted as any big name compressor you'd find at your local hardware store. The maker did a very professional job in the design. It works marvelously well. It pumps air quickly and efficiently. It's not overly noisy as these pumps can sometimes be. True, you can certainly hear it running, but it's not all that loud. Manufacturers packaging cane with all of the following: * The unit itself * Carrying bag * Tire nozzle * Removable AC cable * Attached DC cable (tucked away in its cubby) It has some great features that I didn't see on other similarly priced compressors. This I've has an LCD screen that displays the air pressure you're using. That makes it very easy to keep track of how much air you're pumping so you don't acidity overinflate something. It has an automatic shut off feature to further help overinflation. Additionally, it's got a built in flashlight so you can see what you're doing, particularly at night. The light is bright and generously lights your work area. Every family should have one of these. It quickly blows up bike tires, swimming pool "floaties", basketballs, and even car tires. Having this tool in your home will save you the hassle of driving to the local gas station and paying for their public air pumps. The utter convenience far outweighs the purchase price in my opinion. I'm honestly and happily giving this compressor an entire 5 stars.

The tire pressure light was on in my car. I went to two local gas stations to fill the tires but both had signs that the air machines were out of order. Whats a girl to do??? Order her own air compressor and not depend on gas stations. This was better than expected. Its easy to see why it's an amazon best seller. I connected it to the tire after plugging it into the power source (used house current), it gave me the pressure in my tires, I set the pressure plus 1, then it went to work. It stopped automatically when it reached the pressure. I drove a few minutes and the tire pressure light went out. If I could give this more stars, I would.

Kensun AC/DC Rapid Performance Portable Air Compressor Tire Inflator with Digital Display for Home (110V) and Car (12V) - 30 Litres/Min This tire pressure pump is a big upgrade from running to a gas station for air. Features I like about it: It’s a small unit (maybe a couple of ponds), quite quiet, allows hands-free operation because the nozzle screws on to the tire’s inlet, digital display of pressure set and pressure achieved, auto shut off when the set pressure is achieved, lighted display, works from AC wall outlet 110 v and also from car’s 12 v outlet, can be used for inflating soccer ball with included needle. I used it for the first time and liked it a lot: no need to read instructions; just look at the buttons and do things intuitively. Set the max desired pressure, turn on the pump, the unit turns off when the pressure is achieved. Move to the next tire, and the unit remembers the pressure you set earlier (unlike a previous complaint that the unit reverts back to some pressure and you have to re-set the max between tires; maybe the manufacturer listened and fixed the annoying problem). The nozzle screws on the tire’s inlet for hands-free operation. The pressure pump shuts off when the desired pressure is reached. Previous reports say that the AC wire is short: this is easily solved bu using an extension cord. Previous reports also say that the 12 v cord may not allow reaching all four tires of trucks. In emergency situations on the road this can be a problem.

This works well and is of a good weight. However you cannot let it sit on the ground and pump up a tire on a Ford 150 if the valve stem is at 12:00 o'clock. As the hose length is only about 12". I placed it on a five gallon bucket to air up my tires. Then I realized I had enough room between the body and truck tire, to set the compressor on the tire. But in fairness the compressor is portable and compact. And a longer hose could change the small portability of the compressor. I used it on the AC setting only. And I paid full price. Everything considered, I believe one would look long and hard to find a more substantial portable compressor! As it makes short work of bringing up tire pressure! I would have no problem suggesting buying this to my family and friends!

After burning through three of those cheap slim compressors they sell here on Amazon I tried this one as a possible more permanent alternative. Spend a few bucks more and get a world better product and sevice. Great customer service from Mfg. Had very minor issue and they solved it immediately. This is a high quality compressor.

Great tire pump with AC and DC options. Set the pressure and the compressor turns off automatically. Light is bright. I'll never go to a gas station again to fill up my tires due to winter cold, etc.

Works like a charm and very fast when you are just trying to inflate the tires to their proper amount. Very convenient to use with DC or AC power. Note: you'll probably need an extension cord to use with AD power outlet. The cord isn't long enough, but I didn't expect that it would. If you are using the car's power, then you'll have to bring the item through the left side or the right side to inflate the tires on that side. Again, the cords can only be so long based on the design. It's a small inconvenience. Otherwise, I like the light, the cut off function, and the accuracy of the inflation. I'm using this device instead of paying $1 at a service station each time the tires get low or need to be checked. It will pay itself off in no time when you have more than one vehicle. And I am surprised that the sound is not that loud compared to my older, less efficient compressor.

I had a old bonaire that lasted me 8 years till the hoses on it disentergrated. They dont make that model anymore, and everything i've found online were either 12V or super klunky 120V with horrible reviews. i was looking for a nice 120v just for home/garage use. I wasn't prticularly fond of the kensun at first because it lacked a long extension and quick release, but reviews and people mentioning that you can add an extension and quickrelease convinced me to get one. i ended up going to a local autozone and picked up a slime quick release. off of amazon, i ordered a vlair hose extension. this setup now works great! some users had mentioned that it doesnt remember the previous PSI setting when unplugged, but mine seems to (maybe updated?). the digital psi gauge is pretty accurate and matches several of my psi gauges. it functions as it should and stops pumping air once the specified psi is reached. i'm used to the bonaire having a nice all in one package so theres no cables flopping everywhere when you store it. it had a nice elegance to it. the kensun kinda lacks this but because it comes with a storage bag, everything fits, and actually is more convenient because you can just toss all the accessories into the bag, not having to worry if you wrapped a chord correctly. the only issue i have right now is that when i toggle the on button for air, every now and then, it has a millisecond buzz before going away. i dont know if thats indicative of anything, but i feel rest assured knowing this company responds to customers quickly and having a 2 year warranty. oh also, surprised by packaging! complelely shrinkwrapped and "new product" sticker placed on the tab to let u know if its actually new or not. anyways, time will tell; i use this to pump up tires often so we'll see how it handles in the upcoming months. will update maybe in 3-6 months.
