I ordered the kids mermaid tail blanket in pink-2 for my niece's birthday. She is 6 years old and loves everything about mermaids at the moment. A mermaid blanket was one of the things on her birthday wishlist and I was very happy to find this so I could continue to be her favorite aunt. :) She absolutely loved it. The blanket is crocheted from yarn and very soft. It has a variegated look to it with a bright pink and a soft pink. The front of the blanket is completely closed while the back has a slit which allows you to easily cover up while still being able to stick your feet inside and feel like a mermaid. Great blanket for any child (or adult) to cuddle up with, especially as the weather gets colder.

Adorable and soft, my five year old loves this blanket

My five year old LOVES this blanket. I ordered 2 - one from Amazon for $21 and other from a "deal" site for $14. The deal site took almost 3 weeks to ship directly from China (vs. Amazon Prime), but they are both the same blanket (one is for a niece). Super soft, sweater-like material - washed well (I did not put in dryer - I air-dried it and it's still soft!) Perfect size for a child. The bottom "tail" is not sewn shut - probably for airing out purposes so you can fit a foot or two through the bottom but it's small. Super happy with this purchase, can't wait for her to cozy-up with this in the winter!

I loved the scale print and tassels at the end. Great details. Yes this is open at the bottom and back. I dont think thats so bad, because you can "wear" it and walk around with it on, (obviously holding it up) I like that better than closed at the bottom. Some of these on here are very poor quality, I know because the original one I purchased was a huge disappointment. I was nervous to get this one as the replacement but was glad I did. Rest easy with this one
