The Little Engines that Could...

When I first received these I was completely satisfied with the value (eg- cost vs. quantity/quality) of the products as they (on the surface) appeared to be decently constructed in that none of the markers were broken/leaking, or missing and the variety of colors was excellent. I honestly did not expect these to last very long as the markers themselves are a touch thicker than a standard pencil and about the same length, but never the less I had some projects that required coloring and only a little at that so even if a marker ran out of juice, it would be okay. When I started to use the first one I applied light-med pressure as I did not want to damage the tip and I wanted to see: A) the color of marker compared to the cap color and B) how much ink was released. These make a decently fine line, a bit more precise than I had imagined which I was worried about since I needed to fill in some color, but again not in a large area so at that time I estimated I would probably use an entire marker for one block of color. After a minute of coloring in the ink seemed to be dying out and I became concerned, but I also realized with this fine of a tip and the fact that these are NOT intended to fill-in color it might be that the marker simply needed a second to replenish itself. I capped it and set it down for a minute. When I started again, the line was very weak and I was about to give up as I had tried applying a little more pressure with no noticeable improvement, but just as I was about to throw in the towel the ink flow started back up and not only was I able to finish my project, I was able to use the same marker on another separate project and this time (total use: 10 minutes) no stoppage. In fact I am pretty sure there is enough ink left to do some other detailed work if necessary. Overall as long as you don't abuse these markers they are a great value and will work as advertised.

RECOMMEND FOR MINOR BLEACH ACCIDENT FIXES - I purchased these markers not because I can craft, but because I recently had minor mishaps involving bleach and chlorine on a couple of different shirts that resulted in annoying tiny bleach spots. Both the light grey and royal blue did the trick!! I have an acceptable "Save" on both garments for $12. (One being my brand new Nike Yankees shirt that I literally cut the tags off of that morning!) So before you trash a garment you might want to give these a try. The package has so many different colors!!!

Would Buy Again!!

I bought these markers to decorate bibs at a baby shower. They worked great!! They have a fine tip and would probably write a lot better on T-shirt material rather than towel like material, but they got the job done and the bibs look fantastic. I'm not sure how the color will hold up after being washed but the colors were very vibrant.

Amazing product.. great pointed tips .I just loved it so much

Tempted by cheaper, but this is the best starter set for the money.

After researching fabric markers I need for a few craft projects, I decided these would be the best bang for the buck as a starter set. What made up my mind was that the colors were more varied with different tones, seemed brighter, layerable, and had what I thought looked like gold and silver shades. These markers come well packaged with a logo test banner, and layer and stain beautifully for gradient shading. You don't have to always heat set on certain fabrics depending on the look you want. I let a little doll dress I'm working on set for 3 hours before washing for a faded gradient effect and most of the color didn't wash out. No transfering of pigment while I washed it despite excess dye washing off. Layering on more ink after only went smoother the second time. Truly fine lines are very hard to do with the bullet tip evenly, so they're definitely more for coloring than fine drawing. While no markers can truly claim to be no bleed when the fabric is a naturally absorbant fiber like cotton or silk these were easy to control the color usually. The only solution is to press as lightly and carefully as you can on your design. Let the ink do the coloring by soaking in, and go back to layer once drier if you want a bigger or darker mark. To my slight disappointment the gold looking marker is more of an olive shade. Thankfully it layers beautifully with yellow or brown to shade in a gold or bronze tone. I'm still experimenting with the color I thought silver gray, it will probably layer well with light blues for nickel and silver tones. The red is a lot brighter and richer in this set than the ones I have from a top name brand set. So overall the shades are varied, bright, and pretty true to the cap shade. What isn't included in colors even an amateur artist can experiment and layer or blend up. I will eventually get the double point 20pc markers from Crafts-4-All brand if I'm coloring in larger areas. These smaller Crafts-4-All markers are great so far, but a larger project might make these smaller bullet tips annoying. Overall I'd definitely buy these again for the quality and variety to start with. Hoping they come out with a pearl or metallic set eventually.

Great Babyshower Activity!! We bought these to have our guest design some of our baby's onesies. These markers were definitely put to the test creating over 90 new outfits in one evening. When the onesies were washed the colors stayed vibrant and had almost no bleeding (really just 1of 90)! We're looking forward to our baby boy sporting his customized clothes. A couple of suggestion are; if you're using a light color fabric make sure to put something (like a file folder) in between the layers to assure there's no leak through. Also, these are pretty fined tipped so thicker line work will require a lot of additional strokes. Last, keep the caps on when not in use we had a windy day and had about 1/4 of the markers completely dry out within the first hour. Overall a wonderful product! Enjoyed by ages 8-92 and their customer service is in a class all it's own. Will definitely order again.

Lots of enjoyment and satisfaction for $10.99!

You get a LOT for your $10.99 with this nice set of fabric markers. I've used mine to color in stamped nature pictures on muslin bags, and I'm very pleased with the results. The range of colors allow for more subtleties and shadings than I'd expected. I can't say how long the pens last - they are slender. But so far, I've colored more than 40 muslin bags with pictures of chipmunks, lady slippers, dragonflies, etc., and they're still going strong; besides, they're $10.99 a set - when they run out, I'll just spend eleven bucks on a new set. Well worth the money. As a previous reviewer noted, before the markers arrived, I was contacted by a company representative who gave very useful information about using the markers and offered more help if any was needed. That's a very nice touch.
