Decided to step into the next generation of mixers. After consulting my pro audio buds, they recommended I look at the XR18 for flexibility and application. It continues to blow me away: seamless integration with my medium club sound system, expanded monitor sends and tasty effect sends. The Behringer pared with my Logic Pro X with 16X16 in/out, wifi capabilities are secure and stable. Small footprint and loaded to the hilt with powerful features not found on larger systems: auto-mix, etc. I've been an analog guy for years and always had to sit on the board to respond to live mix scenarios. With the XR18, we build our live mix in the studio, save the presets, and only tweet the FOH and monitors for the venue. Amazing intelligent technology in a stage box, it replaced all my outboard gear in my amp rack! Bravo!

So last night was the 2nd time using this thing, and yup, I love it. Working on the EQ's right now seeing how they work and which one works best for my monitor needs. Had to watch a few videos and update the firmware on the unit too to really get up and running. Great headroom with the inputs and I love that all the aux sends are XLR type to feed powered monitors. No how-to book or manual, just a good idea to have a working knowledge of mixing and analog experience. Now I can wander the room with a Lenove 3 plus tablet real time mixing mains and monitors and making sure the end result is what the people should be hearing, the music. Hat's off to Behringer on this one, good job.

I love it. The sounds is way better than I expected. The 4 true stereo effects are way better than I expected. Yes, True stereo effects.. you can even get 8 mono effects if you set that up. I have used a Roland VM-7200, Korg Zero8, Mackie LM-3204.. the list goes on, but this is by far my favorite. There are just too many pros. I have a medium size synth/drummachine setup and this mixer fits perfectly on my desk and takes up virtually no space. The effects are quality, not at all like your standard crap built-in mono effects. There are no knobs. You must use android, Pi-3, windows or mac to control the mixer. The software is direct, no BS.. I use a touchscreen and it is just lovely. If you are not generally standing there constantly adjusting knobs on a mixer, you will be very happy.. and it stores scenes too. EQ, stereo-linking, 6 xlr busses, 18 analog or usb inputs.. 18 usb returns, all with inserts, routing, sends etc. Its like a digital snake with a mixer built in. Love it. It doesn't record to a usb stick like the 12 & 16.. but I have 9 stereo returns via usb back to my pc thats source can be from almost anywhere in the mixer. I can't wait to setup a side-chain with my 3630!

Fantastic. Insane. Groundbreaking. The box itself is a beast. Crazy that a 16 channel 6 aux "board" is smaller than a shoe box. App is great too. Crazed number of effects, eq's, and features. One thing you will have to get used is not being able to look over the "board" in a quick glance to see what's what. I kept forgetting gains, because normally I just peak at them real quick. The app requires some screen steps. Great product I love companies that push the envelope.

Let me start this off by saying that I've never held the quality of Behringer products in the highest regard. That said, Behringer does seem to have a particular knack for making products with features which people NEED at a price that is affordable. With this unit, I've got an unbelievable feature-set and the quality does seem to be there (after several months of continuous use, I've had zero reliability issues) at at an amazing price. In addition to this unit, I also own an XR12 and I would highly recommend this unit for anyone. The positives: there are way too many to list. Just look at the feature set and see if anything else comes even close to the price--nothing comes close. The audio quality is excellent. The features are great. There control options (this is really what I wanted in this unit) are unparalleled. Behringer definitely did it right with this baby. The negatives: There are very, very few and they are exceedingly minor. Nevertheless, here are a few things I have noted. -- The lack of the ability to do time-alignment which I understand the X32 has (admittedly the X32 is in a different class than this unit, but they're apparently both based on the same core hardware). Even that is minor though because I've found a way to work around that with the built-in effects. -- Another that MIGHT be considered a downside is the Wi-fi. In any critical live situation, I make sure to have a hard-wired connection to the unit, but I have seen others complain about flaky connections with the Wi-fi. Personally, I think that's just the nature of Wi-fi and not the fault of this unit. --The software is different for the iPad and on a computer. Both offer really robust control over the unit, but they aren't the same and it can be difficult to find settings if you're using one platform and move to the other. Other than that, if you're thinking about this and the features meet your needs, don't hesitate, just buy it.

An incredible piece of hardware. What isn't impressive is the fact that my wife watched the Amazon delivery person throw it over my 6ft fence and tumble down my sidewalk. Let's hope it still works. No dog here. Maybe it was the 2" lizard I saw on the fence that scared him into treating a beautiful piece of equipment as if it was garbage. Or maybe he felt compassion for the lizard and didn't want to scare it with his presence and decided that scaring it was more important than protecting products that Amazon sells. Who knows. My guess is that if we, as human beings, want to advance towards a better future, we best do something about the people who act like animals.

Totally awesome. Game changer for our band. Replaced our 24port Macke board. All the features on this work great. Plenty of inputs for our 5 piece band. Love being wireless and not having a 50ft snake to deal with. Works great on PC, tablet, or phone. We've been using this for about 6 months and I have nothing to complain about. It has tons of awesome effects that have really added to our overall sound. Behringer has lots of great videos on YT and articles on their site that will help you get the most out of this mixer.

An amazing amount of functionality at a very reasonable price. But do be aware that this box is only one part of a triad: for a fully functional mixer you need this box (the "engine"), a stable computer, and the X-air application program, all working together. The cost of the computer should be considered when pricing this against other options. Also bear in mind that, over the long term, operating system upgrades and application software versions can become incompatible or unstable -- so consider dedicating a computer and freezing it's configuration at some point if your goal is to keep using this box for many years.

Extremely good value for money. Useful built-in effects. Plenty of in- and outputs and routing configurability. Perfect for small gigs, live music venues, backup mixer, and events where a FOH desk is not possible. I love the eq's on the channels, buses and outputs. The Edit app works great and runs on different operating systems. Choose the XR18 for its numerous hybrid inputs, additional aux outs, and the 18/18 sound interface. It works fantastic as a practice tool to learn on by playing multitrack recordings from your PC over USB assigned to channel inputs. 10/10 mixer, love it. A 5 GHz / dual chain (not dual band) WiFi router (extra purchase) comes highly recommended for wireless control, or have a laptop nearby with ethernet connection for backup during important gigs. I used an old monitor with a Raspberry Pi that I had lying around for a backup control interface.

I do not know if the price was a typo or a limited time special, but this little guy packs a lot of bang for the amount of buck that I purchased it for (Free shipping + tax, I picked it up for $259!! No lie!!). I use a Behringer X32 at a permanent install and absolutely love it. This thing is the same concept just a smaller package. The individual control over monitor mixes is the bees knees. It takes up next to no room and is great for gigs of all sizes. You can practically ditch your whole entire effects rig, built in compression, gate, limiters on each channel (absolute total control over all aspects of effects parameters) with quality built in effects, except your power amps, unless you are particular about your crossover. This little guy will allow you to do freq roll offs on your master sends and dedicate one for subs and one for your tops. If you are running powered speakers this thing is ideal. Makes for a great compact rig for traveling bands. And!!! Your sound guy will love the ability to go anywhere in the room and make adjustments to your mix...AND!!! You can record DAW straight out of this unit! Live recording or mini studios on a tight budget, problem solved!!
