I am not an expert in the area of XLR cables, so I can only speak as a consumer. 1) It worked just fine. 2) The build quality seems plenty good for an install and leave it situation. 3) Nice and flexible, which I needed for my Rode PSA1 microphone boom. 4) The price is right. Not sure if they would hold up to constant plug in and out drag all over the place from gig to gig, but I am not doing that so it was "good enough" for my needs. YMMV.

I don't understand the negative reviews, unless they just got a dud one? I've used this XLR for many gigs now, using an SM58 mic, and I have had zero problems with it. Works great, prongs fit, cable is sturdy. I even brought it to a bigger gig, and the sound tech thought it was great. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Full disclosure I have an amp fetish. My main daily driver is a Questyle CMA400i at home, and I also use a Fostex HPA4BL in my office. I also own various portable amplifiers. I have had this one for about a week and it's been dominating my play time lately. I have this connected to the balanced out of the Questyle. I have tried it with the Ether Flow Open, and the ZMF Atticus in Zebrawood. While this amp sounds good and can drive both (honestly I was surprised it could drive the ether's at all) it sounds really nice with the Atticus. keeps the mid base slam, expand's the sound stage just enough, and it doesn't seem to lose much if any detail. I would take a star off for lack of features but for under $100 I have no complaints.

I bought a couple of these to use with my Tascam to record a couple of podcast episodes and they work just fine. Decent quality for the price and no complaints as far as quality goes. I’m no sound expert, but they don’t seem to degrade the quality of my audio in any noticeable way. Pretty happy with my purchase.

Works well enough for my microphones and umc204hd. I believe the label they put on the cable is incorrect and has pins 1,2 reversed. Physically though, the wiring is correct and it functions just fine. I checked it using a multimeter to validate. They just put some plastic label on the female mic side that's maybe wrong. I'm not an expert, but from what I could tell it does not match any diagrams that I could find. You'll probably never notice unless you have a separate issue like me.

As always with Amazon Basics, positively a great cable at a great price. Amazon Basics makes solid stuff. Second time buying Amazon Basics XLR cables and have purchased multiple other USB cords from them. Why I like this cable: Two velcro cable management straps on each cord. Substantial strain relief at both ends. The XLR connectors are solid as is the cord. My Sennheiser e945 clicked on very reassuringly. Additional thoughts: 1. No gold connectors. Great, who needs them? Someone show me evidence of gold connectors sounding better especially with your Monster cables...please. 2. Amazon Basics branding. Why are people complaining about this? Some people will complain about anything. These guys make a good product that they will stand behind. Give them a chance to put their seal of approval on solid products that can be had for what is truly a bargain of a price for what it is.

well i was using the mono price xlr cable i don't know i am not sure but it seems to be clearer signal on the amazon basicsi am using it on the Samson c01 condenser microphone with the focusrites scarlett solo

I'm a podcaster. (shocking!!) I wanted to make a telephone microphone to use on the podcast so I could simulate people calling into the show. I didn't want to shell out a bunch of cash to Guitar Center or Musician's Friend for a cable I was going to cut. So, I looked up XLR cables on Amazon and, BANGO!!, there they were in all of their $7.19 glory. I picked up two and for less than $15 I was good to go . The cable was sheathed well enough that stripping it was kind of a pain, but, i did manage to get it stripped without damaging it. I soldered everything together and the new telephone mic worked great. I've used it on both new episodes of the show and it has that old school telephone sound to it. I would suggest these cables for anyone doing minor to moderate audio recording or live sound. Six feet is really not enough length to do some serious work. I will say that these cables, despite the price, all just as good as a cable you would get from a retailer.

So surprised with the quality of the wire, it feels smooth and durable not a cheapy kind. both terminals are sturdy and rugged. As its price point this is an excellent buy. Not every 50 ft cord is available with this price, I actually need about 25ft but since there is a little difference with the 50ft so I went with the longer one for back up, and it did not disappoint me. This one of the Amazon great buys. I hope they won’t raise price sooner because of good reviews.

Cannot get a 25' XLR cable in my area for less than $30.00, and here amazon has it for a mere $10. Amazing. Used these on three projects already, (Used for my boom mics on set) and they have held up well. I fully expected for the ends to come off, or the connectors to come loose, but no - these are still in great shape. BONUS: This comes with two velcro fasteners that help keep the cable organized for storage, as well as tie down when these are run to poles and cameras. Very convenient little touch that will cause me to purchase more in the future.
