love this little thing
I have a solar system on the RV, but the inverter would only give me a bar-graph style light meter showing a general percentage of power being drawn from the battery. So I installed this on my battery bank and boy was I surprised. It showed me exactly how much power was being drawn from the batteries. By turning various appliances on and off in the coach, I learned exactly how much power they consumed. And I was surprised at a few discoveries! This is worth the expense and time to install.

it is worthy to buy!
I have 1000 watts power inverter, so I installed MICTUNNING digital display between Battery output and input of power inverter. So that I can see how much power draw from battery. It helps me to decide how many Amp hours requires for running 12 hours overnight. Good thing I bought 370 AH batteries which is plenty for overnight, and recharge during day. I used two MICTUNNING digital displays, one is measure current that is charging to battery and other is measuring current that is draw current from battery during overnight. This meter is only positive current flow reading, and there is no negative current reading. I also have four more meters for measure current draw from each solar panels.

A Must Buy Digital Display Ammeter
:O :O... This item looks awesome. Although i had to do a little customizing to my console I finally installed it in my vehicle.. I have a Mazda 323F. The instructions is very simple to follow even though i took a few hours to install it.. I had decided to make a harness for it incase i have to disconnect in the future. I ran a 6awg ground wire from battery to shunt and from shunt to chassis and use 14awg for the other wires and utilizing the accessory power wire connected to the cigarette lighter. For the shunt, since i couldnt decide where to mount it, i used a 4x2 pvc box and trim it a bit to ensure the shunt stays in a position and bore holes to feed the wires through.. Afterwards i cut and sanded my ashtray since it was a great size and cause it was removable for the display install.. Was thinking if it would have been better connecting to the ignition source for power (If anyone reading this can comment on my choice id love to hear it,, thanks) Well anyways it works great.. A little more tinkering will neaten it up a bit more. but for now im satisfied :D

Very nice, going to get another..
Bought this for my wind generator, gives so much good info going to get a 2nd for my solar panels. Gives watts, volts, amps, and the amount of energy taken in. Easy to read, not to bad to hook-up just make sure you do it as instructed or it won't work right. Comes with no wire, be prepared with your own. If hooking up to wind or solar remember wind or solar is the source, Battery bank is the load. Read where have gotten confused. This is a must have for the cheap Chinese wind generator otherwise you're only guessing output.. My system if you need to know: 12 volt, 400w wind, 4 / 100 watt panels, 5 / 105ah batteries

Great meter so far, seems accurate for a good price
This is an easy to read display. Seems pretty accurate gauging against the analog meters this compliments. The instructions are simple to follow and the shunt is very easy to wire in. If you are working with larger gauge, stranded wires, I highly recommend using ring terminals to prevent wires from slipping off of the bolts. I am looking for a section of shrink tube large enough to cover the finished shunt assembly and prevent it from grounding itself and giving false readings. I will try a few things and update review. The screw lugs on the meter itself make for very easy and secure connections.

great meter to use with solar batterys
Very accurate compared to a multi meter, the screen is easy to see in the day and the blue back light makes it nice in low light. Just wish it had an easy to push button to turn the light on instead of the recessed button. Easy to mount

Very well made & intelligent design
very well made with clear and concise wiring diagram printed directly on the back of the item (smart!). Good quality housing with inner tabs for ease of mounting if you intend to do so. It's little touches like these that make the difference between poorly designed pieces of electronic frustration and items like this one - well thought out, properly assembled and good quality. It's refreshing to do business with a company that produces a product that's not the absolute lowest quality while still being able to be called consumer goods. The backlight contrasts the characters well for easy viewing in all lighting conditions. They offer a variety of models with different amperage limitations. I would happily do business with this vendor again and I intend to do so. (See pictures) • They included a shunt which most companies wouldn't do. Very helpful. • Wiring diagram clearly outlined on back of unit. • Last pic shows one of the tabs for mounting the unit. Again, an excellent feature that's often overlooked by other companies.

Easy to install with good instructions and wiring illustration
Using two of these; one to monitor a solar panel charge rate from a charge controller to a battery bank, the other to monitor our use of the 12 volt battery bank. Both ammeters are mounted inside our travel trailer, near the solar charge controller. One minor disadvantage, these need to be near eye level to be readable. Mine are near knee level, so I have them mounted tilting up (see photo). That way they are readable...not a major thing for me, so I still rate them highly and recommend them to others.

The instructions could be more clear.
I have a MeanWell NES-350-12 power supply andI was unable to determine how much of a load I was giving it as I added more 12 volt components like motors, fans, and LEDs to my project. With the Mictuning display I can add multiple components and measure their actual draw and avoid any nasty overload. It does the trick. The instructions are not really clear that the sequence you use to connect the display is critical. 1) Wire in the shunt. Just the shunt, no wires to the display. 2) Power the (project?) unit on. 3) Power the unit off. 4) Wire in the display. 5) Power the unit on. If display is not functioning, disconnect the power wire from the display, check all the other wires on the display, attach the power wire and tighten the set screw. It should work. Mine does. Hope it helps.

Terrific Setup. Super Price.
I purchased three of these. A pair of meters are wired to the same shunt as shown in the vendor's diagram for both charging and discharging summaries. The third meter only measures charging summary details from the solar panel. If the sum of the two charging meters Wh equals or exceeds the discharge meter Wh then the batteries have not lost capacity. If / when the discharge meter is more than the sum of the two charge meters then the batteries have reduced capacity and need some recharging. I read all the reviews and there is one in particular that is misleading, the one by DLH. He claims that he "cured" the problem by installing a 50 amp / 75mV shunt. It doubled the reading on the meter because the scaling factor is half of the 100 amp. That is no cure at all. Only a 100 amp 75mV shunt can work with this meter. Also he was operating in a range of half of one percent of full scale. Although the shunt is specified at 0.5% error, operating so close to 0% current is a bad idea. I calibrated the MICTUNING meters with various expensive VOM's and found them to be quite accurate. The price for this system is quite fantastic. Another review states the shunt is for a fuse function. Not true. Some shunts are specifically designed as fuses but this shunt is for metering, not protection. The power consumed by the meters is actually much lower than listed. All three meters with lights on were only 0.11 watts, one-third of that with lights off. Well done MICTUNING. See photo.
