I've got name brand shorts with a whale logo that cost six times as much as these. Honestly, I'm not sure I could tell the difference if I could figure out a way to construct a "blind" test. The Amazon Essential shorts look and feel great. The fabric is a nice medium weight with a soft feel. Overall, I am very satisfied!

The shorts are excellent quality for the price

The shorts are excellent quality for the price, they fit right above my knees which is exactly as the picture. I'm 5'9 175 size 32 and it fits just perfect, the only drawback is the color of the khaki is not strong but at 15 dollars, i cant complain.

Fit is correct

These shorts are exactly what I wanted. The fit and length (just above the knee) were perfect. I purchased one size larger based on the reviews and it worked, I use a belt no matter what. I have for years purchased Land' End shorts and slacks, but stopped 4 years ago. Amazon has better selections among multiple vendors. The Amazon Essentials opportunities open a new source of deals, this was my first venture and it was successful. This was mty2nd pair.

The Shorts are really nice. Amazon did their homework on what the consumer needs. Priced right... One thing I like is the area of the pockets - If you order a light colored short the inside of the pocket is white... If you order a Dark color short - the inside pocket area is black...There is plenty of the color of the short, so if you sit down or the short gets tight - you won't see the inside of the pocket color.

Good quality for the price

Good quality for the price. I found them to be a little longer than I expected. I think that's because I'm used to shorts that sit lower. These are right at my true waist and then some, leading to a bit of extra length through the seat and crotch. I just rolled the ends of the shorts up once and now they look more stylish and fit pretty much as I expected. If they could do anything I'd ask for a 28" waist version. That would probably be spot on for me.

Surprising quality

For some reason, buying the correct school uniform shorts has been a challenge the last couple of years. Pleats, cargo shorts, and long inseams litter the market, and this is just what you need for your kid. The quality is quite good. I’m a bit mystified at those who wrote reviews describing these as flimsy and cheaply made. It fits well also and was true to size.

I bought this for my grandson for school. They run true to size. Great quality! I was leary about getting Amazon brand because he is 15 and thinks everything has to be name brand. He loves these shorts. Will definitely get these again. This is why I always shop Amazon first!

Sturdy Comfort, Looks Good, Affordable, Love Them!

I love these. My weight is a roller coaster, so what I can wear this week isn't necessarily what fits comfortably next week. These are affordable enough that I could order a couple pair. I have the gray and also the red. The color matched what I saw on the website. They feel well constructed and like I will get a few years out of them. I'll be buying them in every color- not even joking- I have a bad habit of doing that O:)

Amazon does it again

I was originally hesitant to buy these shorts because the model looked a bit dorky (maybe it was just the shorts and the shirt tucked in... I just felt that vibe) and the price was super low. Don't let that keep you from buying these shorts! They are not only exceedingly well made but they are the perfect length (above the knee). At a price of 15 dollars you won't find any other shorts that come close to these. I really love how Amazon has democratized good looking clothing!
