Great Fit

I tried them on as soon as they arrived. Rarely buy clothing over the net because of fear that whatever it is won't fit properly. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these fit me. Haven't worn them yet as the weather is fickle in the mountains, but I expect they will workout quite nicely and I may purchased more as spring approaches.

Nice pair of shorts

This is a great pair of shorts, though they're not quite perfect. Most cargo shorts have some sort of double pocket one one or both of the lower pockets. Not here. No hidden cell phone pocket, though most of the other extra pockets on other cargo shorts seem useless to me. What doesn't show up in the photo is that the pockets all close with buttons. The lower pockets have a second piece of fabric over the top of the button holes, which makes for a very nice look and nothing to catch if you brush against something. This does make it a little awkward getting things in and out of those pockets, though, but it works well for my needs. The only downside is the rear pockets. They have a single button in the middle of each pocket, which causes the fabric to curl up on the corners of the flaps. The shorts do run just a bit small. You may need to go a size up. One thing I really like with the Amazon brand is that there are no extra tags to remove since they're not manufactured for in-store sales. Just open them up and put them on. There's also no external branding, so you're not advertising for Amazon or anyone else.

Finally found the right pair.

Amazing shorts, durable, excellent quality. Fits perfectly for a 5'6" man. It's tough finding shorts that are the right length- the top of the knee. Bought 3 pair so far, have plans for several more but Amazon ran out...

Perfect fit (First time buying Amazon essentials)

I was a little bit worried since some of the reviewers claim that the buttons fall off easily, hard to open or bigger than the waist size advertised. I bought 3 cargo shorts red, blue and khaki and very happy I did. Built solid, not flap and sits a little above the knee and semi flexible not a super tight fit and im a waist 36, 6'1. I can use them without a belt and the colors are nice and not overly flash or to bright. Blue looks like a jean blue color, red is slight red, not blood red or overly bright. At a glance they look like regular cargo shorts and do not look cheap but well made. I normally buy 38 so that I can use a belt with them, but was getting annoyed of not being able to use them without a belt that I went for exact size fit and was surprised they dont hug the stomach and better fit overall. Less of a baggy effect but still loose on the sides/waist. Will buy more colors next months.

Great Versatile Shorts!

I don't care, I love cargo shorts. I like the extra pockets, and here in NV/AZ, shorts are a requirement. THESE shorts provide cargo pockets without a lot of baggy material flopping around your legs. They're not labeled as slim, but Amazon's cargos are a little shorter (still barely above knee) and slim enough that you don't look like a skateboarding teenager. They wash up nicely, no ironing and are suitable for anything from casual to resort-dressy. I love em!

Work Shorts?! Yes! They seem very durable. Great for Big & Tall Men. Size 42.

As a dude who's 6'5 and over 200 pounds, I'm just big and tall, not fat, but big. I hate shopping for myself cause it's annoying and I find clothes too fragile at times. With my pants and shorts, over time the inseam thins and breaks easily. Most clothes are poorly made. In the summer since I like walking around and wearing cargo shorts to keep cool, I've used many brands but they fail to hold up to my lifestyle. As soon as I pulled these from the pack the first thing I noticed is the fabric toughness, that's a good thing!!! Have you ever worn a pair of work pants? I have 1 that I use around the house to do painting, lug garbage bags around, garden work, etc. They're so duldurable and we'll made, I love it. Well someone at Amazon is probably tall and annoyed with how clothes are made as well because these shorts are made with the same material as my work pants. I look forward to using them this summer! Yay! Also, they have a great inseam, see photo. That's how you know the stitching is more durable than competitors, look how the fabric is tight and flat. I will update later IF I'm wrong.

Excellent value and they look good!

Bought these shorts for my husband. He loves them and says they are his favorite shorts. They look good on him, and they do not shrink in the wash. The only two issues are the pockets curl a little in the back after washing (common issue with back pocketed cotton shorts in general). They can always be ironed though. The second minor issue is the front button seems like it may eventually need to be sewn on tighter. Still, 5 stars for price, look, comfort, and cotton. I bought three pairs, and plan to buy more in different colors. These will be worn all summer.

These fit well. One button down on the two rear pockets. The side pockets had two button downs and a flap that covered the buttons. The flaps had a single stitch holding down the flap ends on each pocket. This made it difficult to open and close with one hand. I removed those two stitches on each pocket and now it is easy to open and close the buttons. Contrasting to Faded Glory which are impossible. Same day I got my first pair I ordered a second, different color

I love these shorts

I love these shorts. I was aware of the difficult buttons before I bought the shorts because they were mentioned by other reviewers, but that can be easily remedied by sewing on a couple strips of Velcro. The shorts are very comfortable. Although they're men's shorts & I'm a woman, I needed a pair of really practical & comfortable shorts to wear biking & hiking. Women's pants don't have useable pockets because they're made to show off our butts, not hold cell phone, keys, etc. I'm way past the age of hoping to look cute, so am totally pleased with my new shorts!

If you want to look your best and be comfortable

I am now the life of the party! These cargo shorts are the hottest thing since slice bread. My wife has gotten in soo many fights with other women once I started wearing these. If you want to look your best and be comfortable, I highly recommend these cargo shorts! Thanks for reading.
