Cost Effective Home Security Option, Works great!!!

We love this driveway alarm. We actually put it in our backyard instead of driveway as we have a park behind our house and it is really dark. It's nice to know when people are getting close to our yard. We have a problem of people coming into our yard from the park so this helps to let us know when that is happening. I was concerned about the noise but we put it on the lowest setting and it is loud enough to hear but not annoying. It can be plugged in or run on batteries. We decided to go the batteries route. I also think that just seeing them any intruders would be turned away. Which is good because we have had that problem in our area too. Just the sight of them should deter thief in my opinion. I also like that it has a flashing light option. So if we are in our backyard we can either turn it off or just turn on the light function. which makes it less conspicuous. We have not had any issues with the range either. Definitely recommend!

Great Low-Cost Security System

This is a great security alarm system! I currently moved into my home and I needed something like this in front of my house. I live alone so I needed this alarm to alert me when someone comes near my driveway or door. The price was great and it looked like a great option to give me peace of mind. When I received it and set it up, it was great! It has a large range and instantly alerts you when someone is nearby. It especially comes in handy when it is really dark outside and you have no idea who is out there. I live in a great neighborhood, but there is always someone lurking and I live alone which can sometimes make me uneasy. You can easily adjust it to a high or low tone and the alarm system is very small so it can be disguised anywhere you set it up. It is a cost-effective option and it gives you the piece of mind to feel secure in your own home. I would definitely recommend for those who are looking for a low-cost security option and/or live alone!

Great warning system.

Has great range, worked first time. I masked the sensor and spray-painted grey, then with brown, green, and black splotches. Quite good camouflage. Put by driveway entrance and back deck. Helps avoid surprise visits. Can't beat for price.

Reliable motion detector

If you're looking for an inexpensive way to scare away trespassers than this is exactly what to get. Our home came preset up with an alert system but I was not about to pay the monthly fee to keep it activated. This motion detection system was a good solution for us. I initially hooked it up on the driveway but moved it inside due to it being more valuable for us there. We did a test one night and it was loud enough to wake me up. I like that you can choose the volume setting and even have the option to silence it. I definitely feel safer at night or when I'm home alone with this system hooked up. The system is easy to set up. The sound monitor can be carried anywhere. Even when I'm out back gardening I can leave screen doors open and not worry about anyone coming in without my knowledge.

Peace of Mind

This little jewel has given me SO much peace of mind! I have both installed on our barn door and no longer have to worry about security when I can’t see what is out there! All the necessary mounting hardware is included for immediate installment. It pleasantly chimes if there is any movement by the door or the window where I have it set up. The radio range is 400 feet and a wide range of 30 feet within a 40-degree range so I feel confident at night and even if the kids are home alone! The monitor runs on batteries or can be plugged in in the case you run out of batteries. I set the volume on low but it does have a high volume, or a flashing light. Because of the very reasonable cost, I am going to buy a second set for our driveway entrance. Another thought is that in case of intruders the monitors are very small (4"X2 1/2")and defiantly would not be noticeable to someone that is looking for them. This is so much better and reliable than any security system as it gives you forewarning! Defiantly would recommend this for security and contentment of mind!

Small, neat little gadget that works well, Keep covered

I purchased the 4VWIN Home Security Driveway Alarm for a small office where I work as an assistant manager. As an AM, I frequently have to run meetings and conduct interviews. I can't see the door from my office, and I'm often having meetings later in the evening when the receptionist is off. It's very frustrating when I'm in my office and someone walks in and there's no one to greet them, we may need to hire another Rec. But until then,I needed a reliable and unobtrusive method of being able to tell the exact moment someone enters the office. I set these up on the floor for now, but I intend to hang them up on the wall for anchorage. No one's kick themed so far, so that's good lol. The 4VWIN Home Security Driveway Alarm comes with 2 sensors and a receiver. I placed the two sensors in such a way that they'd always be able to tell when someone is walking through the door. They work perfectly, and so far no one has tripped over them. You can set the alarm to HI or LOW, which I appreciate because I don't want an alarm blaring through my office every time someone walks through the door. The sensors lights blink when they're activated or "read" something. The receiver lights up when the batteries (not included) need replacing. Not waterproof. All in all, it's a neat cute little gadget, I'm thinking about purchasing another set to monitor my pet's activities during the night and make sure he's not getting into trouble -_-

Safe & Useful

My mother recently moved out to the middle of nowhere on a 10 acre plot of land. Her driveway is longer than the street I live on so naturally I was a little concerned about her safety especially with her being out there alone. She hates when people “baby” her so I knew getting her something too security focused would be a big no-no which is why I went with the driveway alarm. In my head it’s for her protection but in her head it’s a useful tool to know when a visit is pulling in. We tested it over the weekend and it works great. I was a little worried that with the lower price it would be lower quality but it works just as I would want and expect it to. It has 3 options for the alert which is something I didn’t even notice until I set it up. When it was at the loudest setting we could hear it from the other rooms in her house which I was pretty impressed by. It also has the option of alerting you via light instead of sound which happens to be my mom’s favorite setting. She says the sound scares the you know what out of her when it goes off during her nap or while she’s asleep but the light is a much more pleasant wake up call. She’s sensitive enough to light that it still wakes her up. Overall I am very happy with the purchase, my mom loves her “useful” driveway alarm and I love her “safe” driveway alarm ;)

Works great!

This works great! I live in a rural area and people like to ignore no trespassing signs and sneak down to my ponds....I put one sensor where they would drive by and the other where they walk...alerts me every time! I go out remind them they are trespassing and not to return! I could not be happier with how well it works.....occasionally a deer or coyote set it off but I do not notice any false alarms.....I recommend this product!

4VWIN versus Driveway Patrol

I currently have two "Driveway Patrol" driveway alarms and wanted to try the 4VWIN driveway alarm. The sensitivity (distance to target) is less than that of the Driveway Patrol sensor. On the other hand, there is MUCH less "falsing" -- sending false alarms with the 4VWIN. The 4VWIN sensor detects people out to about 30 feet while the Driveway Patrol device has a range of about 40 feet for people sized objects that are in motion. Overall, the 4VWIN appears to be better than the Driveway Patrol unit. The WJLING Motion Sensor is another motion sensor and is reviewed separately (see that product for the review).
