I am very happy with the purchase of this barn door hinge/harness. I was planning to purchase one at Lowe’s but this was half the price. My wife and I are both extremely impressed at how smooth the door rolls and how quiet it is. We always wanted to block the light out from our bathroom to our master bedroom and provide more privacy. Biggest frustration was the holes in the bracket are 16 inch on center and our studs in the wall are not. I ended up putting a 2 x 4 up behind it and Bolted the 2 x 4 into the wall at the studs and then used the 16 inch on center holes to bolt into the 2 x 4.

Rail is great, and it is HEAVY even without a door attached... two man job for sure. make sure your measurements are correct before hanging the rail because weight can shift and throw off level.

Overall I like this product, I have a 42 inch door and it was difficult for one person to put up, so I recommend you get some assistance, to level. One of the screws on the bracket connecting the two 36 inch rails did not work, the hole was not tapped correctly. It still worked.

Built and installed my own barn door. This set came with all relevant parts, and worked like a charm. Everything feels like quality. I would recommend to anyone looking for a design like this.

It's a good product so far... I was disappointed the railing came in two pieces and the holes didn't match the studs but I put the wood behind it which was needed because of the molding. The door dimensions is 42" W x 82" H x 1 3/4" D (not including the wood above the molding). Hope you guys find this helpful.

I have put two of these up in our home. The quality is great and they roll extremely smooth. They really couldn’t be any better, they also included both Allen wrenches needed during the install which saved me time digging for my Allen wrenches.

I actually installed this item right after I installed another barn door system because the initial one I purchased when I went to install the second barn door was out of stock. This one was $25 less and the only difference was the split rail which I was worried about at first but really seems to be working so well it isn’t noticeable. Quality was identical to the other hardware to the point you cannot tell the difference.

Excellent product. Very smooth rollers, nothing stripped. Ordered hardware, built doors by the time the hardware arrived. Installation took about 4 hours for both doors. By adding a 3/4 inch strip between the wall it offset the 2 1/4 inch thick door perfectly from the trim below. I had to countersink the bolts on the back side to make it fit the door width. I used 2 kits to make 2 4 foot wide doors slide with individual stoppers it worked fine. I cut a thin strip off the top of one of my panels to make it fit as you can see from the picture. But if I would have installed the rail closer to the bottom of the spacer strip i would not have had to do this.

We built a door because we needed to cover an opening of 48" so this rail set was perfect for the space. He added some washers behind the spacers because our door was pretty thick. It glides so perfect! We did the math before purchasing and the wood added up to about 200 pounds. Slides like it's 20 lbs. So very happy! It's our bathroom and we live in Louisiana so only time will tell how the rails will handle humidity and moisture. One week in, I'm super satisfied!

These things aren't rocket science to install if you have any mechanical aptitude whatsoever. If you don't, find someone who does and have them install this for you. We just recently installed this (and a shorter one in the laundry) in our new house so no real long term use yet. Just make sure you either mount the bracket to studs or install a header board to studs then the bracket to the header board. You want it to be mounted well to support door weight.
