Love this TV
I bought this tv with the built in dvd player for our RV. I knew when we went camping we wouldn't always have very good tv reception so I knew we'd need the dvd player. I read all of the other comments from previous buyers and was skeptical, however I am so glad I stuck with my gut and bought it. The speakers are great, the dvd player works great, and we were able to get many channels in the middle of nowhere. All I had to buy was the HD hook up cord that cost $2 whole dollars. The sound is clear and I was very impressed. This was a great investment.

Comes with its own screwdriver to put on a pretty sturdy stand
Very convenient and compact. Has a host of options and adjustments for sound video etc. has an accessability voice option if you are low vision. Comes with its own screwdriver to put on a pretty sturdy stand. Check your box carefully for these pieces before throwing it away. It hooks up to cable and analog. Streaming devices such as Apple or Roku can be hooked up as well. I highly recommend hooking up Roku nothing will make you happier. Also the DVD player definitely works you have to initiate it's use two options before putting the DVD in. If I could give this TV 10 stars I would it's a very user-friendly product

It won't just accept it like other players
A lot of people have said that the DVD player doesn't work. Well, I thought that too until I tried the source button and chose DVD. Your disc WILL NOT go in unless you choose DVD first. It won't just accept it like other players. It plays just fine and the tv screen is crystal clear. I'm happy with it so far.

good basic tv.
am very happy with this tv. i am not much of a watcher and needed something cheap and basic. had some trouble with dvd player, but only once. can always hook up my old player if it continues. an antenna will bring in a few channels if you are like me and do not have cable. all in all i found this to be a good value for the money. update: i am playing well-worn videos borrowed from library, no problems. i re-tested the offending disc on another player and the disc had the same problem. i've upgraded my rating to 5 stars.

Tv or just a display?
After reading all the reviews, it seems I’m the only one to encounter this problem. I ordered the tv/dvd 24 inch tv. Seems the dvd works just fine, so far. But the tv? Not a tv really. Just a display. My tv came without a tv tuner. No co axle input, so I can’t use tv. Although the fire stick works well, I also like using the antenna on my tv’s. I don’t want cable, just fire stick and antenna. Am I the only one that got a tv with a missing tv tuner? Very disappointing, as even the picture shows the “included tv tuner”. New update,,.,....,I’ve revised my review to a 5. Returned the original tv and received another one with the tv tuner included. Works great. Sound rather poor but very easy fix, by hooking up speakers. Neck to tv is Hidden in styrofoam in the box. Look carefully or it may get thrown out.

Like it very much
Like it very much. Picture is very clear and sharp! Also I put watt meter on it and surprised to see only 19 watts even with the DVD playing. The only complaint I wish the sound was better acceptable. Would buy it again.Good Value..

Suprised By The Excellent Quality.
I needed an HDTV for the bedroom and I looked for the cheapest 32" I could find since I didn't watch it too often. I expected a decent TV but what a surprise to find the picture as good if not better than my 2 LGs. The DVD player is a bonus. Highly highly recommended.

Affordable the best 24" DVD combo TV
Bought this Sceptre 720p DVD combo TV for $119.99 wall-mounted for my bedroom, no complaints so far. Prime shipping with 2 day delivery well double boxed by Amazon and Sceptre. Pictures are great, built-in DVD player pretty easy to use with simple DVD insertion/ejection. Sound is more than good enough for my bedroom where I usually watch DVD, Netflix and play some console games. I see some comments mentioning not being able to assemble the base piece. You know what, you are probably missing the neck piece connecting base and the main TV body, and it is well sitting right there in one of the top foam pieces. Overall, this is a 5 star shopping trip here. 5 stars to Amazon for the service and 5 stars as well to Sceptre for such an affordably awesome TV.

Good picture with adequate sound, lots of features - Great value!
Bought this for father who is in a nursing home. The TV comes with a two piece pedestal base that screws together and attaches to the back of the set. Bonus points to the manufacturer for including a small screw driver for use in assembling the base. The TV also has screw mount on the back for attaching to a wall mount. The TV is very light so an inexpensive wall mount could be used. I am pleased with the overall performance and image quality and the sound quality from the built in speakers is adequate. There are tone and equalizer controls which I pushed towards treble and high frequency so my father could hear better. The TV has an optional voice assist function which reads text of the TV functions and guide information. My father like most elderly has trouble seeing fine print so this feature is helpful to him but I find it a bit annoying. Text to speech engine is a bit rough in its pronunciation and is very mechanical sounding. There are numerous inputs (USB, HDMI, Composite, VGA & Antenna) along with a digital audio and headphone outputs. I did not test the built in DVD player but find the mounting of the DVD slot at the rear of the TV a bit awkward to access. The remote is universal and full featured which appears to be able to control several other devices like a sound bar/amp or other media player. All these buttons with small print make the remote a bit difficult and confusing to use for an elderly person so I may buy a simple universal remote if my father can't adapt to the included remote. Manual control buttons of a decent size are on the side of the set. Again an issue for elderly accessing them as buttons on front would be easier to see and use.
