Fit perfectly. I just don't know why one is not already included.

I got this lid thinking I would use it when using the slow cook feature. I still haven’t used that feature yet, lol. I do use my lid when I make yogurt though. I love being able to see the yogurt as it does it’s stuff. Since it cooks at suc a low temperature, it is nice to be able to peer thru the lid and check the progress, without losing any of the warmth.

I like the Instant Pot and decided that I needed the proper lid for it. It comes in very handy when making yogurt or other non pressurized foods. If you don't already have a glass lid that fits, this is nice to have for checking your slow cooking foods or yogurt. It's not a necessity when using the Instant Pot for non-pressurized food, but it's nice to have, especially if you are worried about your yogurt tasting like curried chicken. I've never had that issue but.....it is a nice solid glass lid.

CAUTION: I've noticed many reviews for this item are for the smaller instant pot. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ORDERING FOR THE LARGE ONE. One is 10" and the other is 9". Drives me nuts when they do that. These were impossible to get for awhile and if you intend to use your instant pot 8 qt cooker as a slow cooker or yogurt maker, you need this if you want to look in on your food without having to remove the lid. Its well made and sturdy and I was unable to find a substitute that fit. Then the price was outrageous and I thought I would have to bite the bullet, but this price was pretty good. I don't use it as often as I thought I would because I'd rather pressure cook than slow-cook, but I intend to make more yogurt eventually so this will make it less of an adventure. So, you don't HAVE to have it, but its comforting to know I have it when needed. .

This instant pot lid works great on my 8 quart instant pot. It feels sturdy and solid without being overly heavy. I like to use it when I put the food on the table and don't want to deal with the pressurized lid. It has been well worth the money and I use it all the time. I bought it with the intention of making yogurt and read that I would need a clear lid. I haven't used it for that yet though.

This lid should be a part of the Instapot package. It is much easier to use for slow cooking and refrigerator storage than is the pressure cooker lid that comes with the pot.

It's too bad this isn't included with the Instant Pot, as it's a necessary part, in my opinion. But, for the low cost on Amazon, no big deal. I highly recommend this for all Instant Pot owners and users. With this lid, your Instant Pot becomes the very best Slow Cooker you've ever used. Fit is perfect, no drips, and the steam release works as intended. We have 2 Crock Pots that literally never get used now that we have the Instant Pot and this lid. Time for the garage sale, I think. This is a no brainer purchase for all Instant Pot owners.

Fits perfectly. I ordered the "Genuine Instant Pot Tempered Glass Lid" through eCrater and was very disappointed when I received another brand that did not fit my Instant Pot. The return would have cost four times more than the lid! Won't stray too far from Amazon and their quality vendors again.

Fits my 8 quart Instant Pot perfectly. Good quality. Once I have cooked a recipe in the Instant Pot I remove the pressure cooker lid and replace it with this clear glass lid while the cooking unit is on "keep warm". Family can serve themselves from the pot easily, can see the food and can replace the lid to keep contents warm. I am very glad I purchased this item.

So I've been struggling making chili in my instant pot! We like our chili super thick. I usually will make a batch of beans and when thats done I will throw the rest of my chili ingredients in. I don't use a lot of thin liquids, I will use a couple cups of broth, 1 cup of spaghetti sauce but really lean on the veggies to release liquids during the cooking time. However, when I go into the chili mode it will quickly tell me that my food is burning because it doesn't have enough liquid. Lately, I just put the chili on Saute, with this glass lid, and let the chili boil for about 15-20 minutes. Since the beans are cooked, the chili comes together pretty quick.
