I bought these wheels because the original casters on my desk chair broke after 15 years of use. They installed easily and in place of the originals just fine and they seem quite strong. Looking at the construction, the bracket is completely metal (unlike the original which was plastic), and the top swivel part has ball bearings, which is a good sign of construction quality for a caster. The wheels themselves roll very well on a variety of surfaces, including hardwood and carpet. The casters also rotate very easily, which I think is in part due to the metal brackets and height of the wheels, they don't compress much if at all when you sit on it. Overall I think these will last me for a long time... And the price wasn't too bad either.

I work in IT and can go back and forth from my Desk to a test bench near by in my chair. I first saw these on a gaming chair and thought it would be nice to check out on my office ergonomic chair which has standard casters on our work carpet/desk mat that were VERY loud when moving around. I switched to these and they are quiet and very easy to navigate around. Even with me being 6FT 250lbs. These are so amazing I will be getting a set for my home office chair as well. Hardest part of the installation was the removal of the OEM casters. That took some elbow grease, but these casters went in pretty easily. I did use a mallet to get a couple of them in all the way. Only downside I have seen with these is they are taller then the standard OEM casters that were on my chair, so it has raised me maybe an inch in my sitting position (Im already at the lowest setting with the gas piston), so my elbows are not level with my desk anymore. I should be able to adjust that with desk height, so not a deal breaker by any means. Great product!

My Aeron chair at work was losing tred like a semi-truck with pieces falling off on the floor. I decided to look at prices on the Herman Miller replacements and of course, they were overpriced. I went with these on Amazon because of the review score and the fact that there was a qty discount if I bought 2 sets. So, I bought a set for work (Aeron) and a set for a chair at home (a chair from Costco). The Office Owl wheels fit both chairs without any issues and the only tool I required was on the Aeron, one of the wheels came off of the spindle on it and I needed some pliers to pull spindle out. On both chairs, I didn't even require a rubber mallet or anything to get them installed; they just slid right in once I pressed just right with my hands. They seem to roll beautifully on my wood floors at home, chair mats at home/work and some low pile carpet at work. I have a 2nd office chair at home that I don't use often, but I may just buy another set for that too. These are really well built from the looks of it with a metal body and bearings. I'll update this review should I have any issues down the road, but the build quality looks far better than the wheel sets I removed from both of the chairs in the first place.

Just received these new office casters from office owl. I love them. I bought them so I could replace my old standard office chair casters. The quality on these is very good. The rubber part of the wheel seems very safe for my hardwood floors that I paid a lot of money for so totally worth the price . They also seem like they an support a good amount of weight. Another added benefit I didn't really think of is that I was able to get rid of that tacky plastic mat I had before. These casters are quiet and they roll smoothly and change directions easily. They also just look cool. I might buy a pair just for my office chair at work . Another positive is the packaging is pretty sharp. Not necessary but definitely a plus. Overall I highly recommend these .

love these casters.. I have a Frankenstein of a Chair my father has welded and modified over the years and I have been looking for a heavy duty caster that will take a abuse and I think these are it... I just got them on my chair today and WOW night and day difference my father had to drill out the what the old casters mount because they where SCREWED in but it was 7/16 bolt and the new casters are also the same just just had to knock out the old threads easy ... ---- Fast Forward 5 Months ... I can't deal with these casters I so wanted them to be the best but after 2 complete failures he bearing bb's come out I mush be hard on these wheels I went back the the Medal grade casters I had but found some that snap in vs the bolt ... O wll another $30 down the drain I guess I have spent money on worse things... if the bearing where sealed they would have a better chance of not failing ---- Feb 25, 2018... company must have read my review and REFUNDED me 100% and offered to send me a Free set ... should have let them know of the problem but didn't ... so if you have a problem let them know ... I changed my 2 star back to a 5 for good customer service

i mean, they do exactly what they say they do. I bought these after searching online for a cheaper price, you can't really seem to find these "roller blade" office chair wheels anywhere for cheaper than this. I still feel like its kinda expensive for a set of wheels. I bought these to make my chair sit slightly higher, and they do that. They're smooth, don't make any noise, and honestly they work too well. The floor in my room is uneven and the chair sometimes moves on its own. I'm writing this review because the company has emailed me so many times asking me to. I paid for the wheels. They're good. I hope they stop emailing me after this.

Absolutely the best replacement wheel I have ever used/purchased. Excellent mobility on a tiled floor, so much better than the original wheels on my Aeron chair. I wasn't sure you could improve on an Aeron chair, these wheels are a huge improvement. Great product! I didn't think you could improve on the performance of the Aeron chair, I was proven wrong when I installed these wheels. Highly recommend to improve the movement of office chair on any floor surface.

They roll so smoothly, they glide so effortlessly, they work so well... after installing them I grabbed my desk to roll my chair forward as I normally would with the old original chair casters, and I FLEW forward at a surprising speed, smashing into the edge of the desk. Considerably less effort is required to move around with these Office Owl casters! These wheels roll on hard surfaces like a dream, silently and silky smooth, but they transition from hard surface to rugs or carpet without a problem thanks to the increased diameter of the wheel. These Office Owl casters are 50% taller than factory wheels so you will notice a slight height increase in the chair, but it is minimal. These wheels are about 78mm/3" diameter. My factory chair wheels were 49mm/2" so it is only about 1/2" height increase, but they perform SO much better on carpets and rugs being 50% larger. Because these are built well, using actual bearings for both the swivel and wheel and quality materials, they are capable of holding more weight than the cheap wheels that come with most chairs. To make up for the lower weight capacity on the factor wheels, they use 2 wheels side-by-side on each chair leg. This design is terrible for swiveling and pivoting, when compared to a single wheel on each leg, as there is only one contact point and not 2. These Office Owl casters use a single wheel per leg, so they pivot and swivel much more easily. The only downside I have noticed is a slight squeak from the soft rubber on my concrete floor when they pivot in place. It is very slight and only lasts a split second as the wheel pivots in one spot. Once they roll, they're silent. The fit was perfect, and installing them in a 20 second affair... flip the chair over, yank the old wheels out, pop these in, and flip the chair back over. They fit well, they weren't loose in the legs, they stayed in place with no wobble, so installation is a snap. I've got to use them for 6 months or so to see if any problems pop up, but so far they're great and they look nice. I paid $20.87 for them, I just checked and they've gone up to $22.87, but that's still worth it if you're tired of small plastic crappy wheels that don't roll well and end up crooked and cracking.

These Rollers are awesome. I have thin carpeting in my home office, and it was starting to pull with the old original chair rollers. These rollers just glide on top the carpet. Makes it easy to move and adjust chair position. In fact the only flaw to having things so perfect is that every once in a while if I find myself leaning my weight forward over my desk for a period of time, the chair will actually creep backwards a tiny bit. Most people won't even notice it because it happens over time, but I'm sensitive more than most to having things remain in the exact spot I put them. HOWEVER, all the other good stuff fully outweighs this one little thing, esp when it's rare I do not move any in the length of time it takes for this to happen. I highly recommend. I used to have tile floors and those old caster would dig into and blacken a circle where my chair sat. I can imagine these casters would've totally eliminated that problem.

I bought a slightly used Steelcase Leap V2 chair to use in my home office. I have a combination of ceramic tile and hardwood and while researching for office floor mats that would protect my floor I came across these wheels. I was amazed that the wheels were actually a few dollars (or more) less than the mat options I was finding and I just couldn't find a mat that seemed to make sense without costing an arm and a leg. I ordered these wheels and I am so glad I did! My floors are protected and I can wheel this chair anywhere around my house without worrying about scratching or marking up my floors! Installation is very very very simple on the Steelcase Leap V2. You just take a regular hammer that has a nail pulling claw and you basically pry out the old caster wheels on the Leap V2 chair like they were a nail. They are designed to pop right out in this manner. After the old wheels are removed you just put these wheels in and pop them in with your hand or with a few gentle hammer taps. You then sit on the chair to make sure all the wheels are pressed fully in and done! I was very surprised at how easy and painless the installation was BUT you get no installation instructions so I had to research it. I hope this review helps people who have the Steelcase Leap V2 chair and want to protect their floors.
