My mom had been using this for 2 weeks now and she said that her back and neck pain are gone (she has spinal stenosis), note that the pillow is not a cure but it helps when she doesn’t add strain or her muscles especially that she loves using her phone in the bed (i know she has to stop!). She also has acid reflux and she hasn’t had any acid backflow in the last 2 weeks. The pillow is packed tightly, I was able to open the box , kept it in the vacuum sealed bag and put it in my luggage! It will fir a carry on luggage just fine, maybe it can leave 1/3 - 1/2 of the space for other items. Left about 2/3 of space for my check in luggage.

Pillows (I ordered 2) came quickly as expected. I've suffered from acid reflux for many years and recently had an endoscopic procedure and found I now have 5 ulcers, due in part from too many acid reflux episodes over time. A nurse suggested I try elevating the head of my bed with blocks. Thinking that sounded a bit extreme, I wondered what Amazon might show if I did a simple search for "acid reflux pillow." The list was quite surprising! I saw one listed as "Amazon Choice" and another as "Best Seller." What I liked about the one I purchased was the extra length at 28", the 7 1/2 inch height and the fact that it has the memory foam. Others were 12" tall, which to me was too much elevation and the 7 1/2" is perfect for me. It gives me the elevation I need while using my regular pillow on top of it. It's firm enough to not collapse in the middle of the night and while it will take a little getting used to, I've used it for a week now with out a single reflux episode. I did make some dietary changes and am taking some medication but the support of the wedge pillow is helping me sleep better than I have in a long time. Very highly recommended.

I bought this product as I was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus which just means that the reflux over the years has done some damage. The wedge pillow I purchased from Fit Plus was shipped and arrived very quickly. I have to tell you when I first opened it and to see it all rolled up and somewhat squashed flat, I had concerns that it would not reach the height that I needed. It was funny to keep going in and checking it on the bed because it kept growing. By the time I was ready for bed I still had to prop my pillow on the wedge, only because my reflux is that bad, and I slept through the night for the first time in I can't tell you how long without having any discomfort. This wedge pillow comes with a lining and it has memory foam which just about eliminates any permanent compression. I will be ordering another one so that the whole top of my queen bed will be one big wedge and I no longer have to worry about positioning where I sleep or where I am most comfortable on my bed. To finish a five-star review I can tell you the price, shipping, notifications and even seller follow up is extraordinary. I know had there been any problems they would have addressed them immediately. Thank you for selling such a great product. I am sharing that out on my Facebook support page for Barrett's esophagus.

I stubbornly put off this getting this for a year, and it was a mistake. After just a few days, I feel so much better. I thought that I did not want this big thing on the bed, but it is not that big and hides nicely under the bottom sheet. I use it with my regular pillow on top. I thought that it would not make much difference with the GERD, since I get acid coming up even when standing up (Barrett's esophagus). However, GERD was just uncontrollable when lying down, even when I waited 6 hours after a small meal to go to bed. So I gave in, and got this, and it has helped a very great deal. It is one thing to have indigestion or heartburn day and night, but when you are exhausted with it all day and it prevents your activities or good mood, enough is enough. Get this pillow, and feel better.

I have GERD, but not the typical symptoms. I have a bit of a sour stomach, but primarily my tongue and throat burn and I have a sour taste in my mouth. After my upper GI and endoscopy, my GI specialist talked to me about lifestyle changes...one of those changes involved sleeping slightly elevated. After a lot of research, I decided to go with this particular sleeping wedge and I have not been disappointed! I sleep great with it and I wake up without that terrible taste in my mouth. This wedge gets the job done and doesn't hurt the wallet! :)

First the bad: The pillow does have a noticeable off-gassing odor for a few days. Depending on your sensitivity this might be not an issue or could be meaningful. Some caution could be required in unpacking to avoid cutting the fabric liner. Now the good: The pillow we bought had about 7" lift in 28" and for us that is wonderful. Not so steep as to push you down the slope during the night. Steep enough to mitigate drainage concerns. Also, the thinner memory foam top layer adds a lot to comfort while the heavier wedge material retains structure to provide reliable support. Given the choice for a replacement pillow/wedge I would not be inclined to consider a wedge without a softer foam top or one without a sturdier foam support structure as able to perform comparably. Likewise, I consider the 24x28 format preferable to 24x24 wedges. Finally, I feel the 7.5" overall rise is the best first choice. If you really would benefit more from a taller wedge you will likely still make the transition better by first using a wedge this size for the first few weeks then getting a taller wedge after getting used to using this as a sleep aid first. I do recommend still having a basic pillow for your head if you are used to a head pillow or if you are a side sleeper.

I've been struggling with Reactive Airway Disease (which you might as well call Asthma) along with allergies and GERD ever since I moved back to Cincinnati a few years ago. I've been using this wedge for a week now, and have seen a HUGE improvement. In just the last few days, I've consistently slept through the night without any coughing waking me up in-between. I was worried the wedge wouldn't be comfortable to sleep on, but with an added pillow or two, I sleep VERY well! Would definitely purchase again!

This product has literally saved me hundreds of dollars. I recently did a sleep-study at a local clinic and was advised afterwards that I do have sleep-apnea (which my husband could've told them!) and will "need" a CPAP machine. I made an appointment with the recommended DME supplier and then took a look at their reviews on Yelp, YP, ConsumerAffairs, etc, and they were uniformly 1-star. No one had anything good to say about them. I called back immediately, cancelled my appointment, looked at reviews for other DME suppliers in my area, and while better, they were not great either, and so began to research ways to deal with sleep apnea on my own. From the many reputable websites I looked at, three strategies consistently emerged: lose weight, use a prescribed nasal spray (like Flonase) every night right before sleeping instead of "as-needed," and use a wedge pillow. Losing weight is a necessarily long-term project, but I immediately moved my Flonase from my office to my bed-table, and I ordered this wedge pillow. It arrived Sunday. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't "taller" on the thicker edge, but when I put it on the bed and tried it out, it was perfect. I piled my 2 normal pillows on top, read a couple chapters of my book, removed one of the pillows, and promptly went to sleep. I sleep both on my back and on both sides and all were equally comfortable. On Monday, I definitely noticed an increase in my energy - I got a lot done, ticked off a lot of things on my To-Do list. Monday night, a repeat - two pillows, read, one pillow, sleep. Tuesday, again an increase in energy. Tuesday night, ditto. This morning (Wednesday), ditto. Except today I had a doctor's appointment to discuss getting the CPAP. Did I mention (no, I didn't mention) that I wear a Jawbone Up24 tracker, which tracks both steps and sleep? I looked at the app on my phone and it clearly showed what I have been experiencing - I'm sleeping better. I'm sleeping way better. Hardly any orange (wakeful times) on the graph, shorter light blue (restless sleep) on the graph, and an increase in duration and consistency of the dark blue (deep sleep) on the graph. I explained to the doctor what I had done and how I felt. She told me that my sleep study had indicated that I need CPAP. I told her that my own independent quasi-scientific research showed I didn't, and whipped out my phone. My goodness, she was surprised. Surprised and delighted! Three nights' improvement in my own bed vs. one night in an uncomfortable and unfamiliar location, and guess which experiment wins. No to the CPAP. So, yeah, I love this pillow.

I purchased this because my husband wasn’t getting much sleep at night. Why? Because apparently I snore so loudly it sounds like a freight train roaring through a tunnel with its horn blasting at full bore. Funny...I never hear it. But he would tell me every morning that he thought I was going to blow my sinuses out both nostrils. But, no more! I’m now down to a mild purr. And I’m fairly comfortable too. I do use a second pillow with it as I like to sleep on my side sometimes. I’m comfortable on my back as well. Far less expensive than a fancy schmancy bed, and it worked!

I'm using this on top of my adjustable bed, which I have stopped using. Raising and lowering to the right height every night, re-adjusting the sheets, etc., just became too inconvenient with the fancy bed. I love using this pillow instead. It helps the acid reflux issues, it helps me breathe gently all night, it's nice to flip and read with, and it's gotten nearly completely rid of those ikky wrinkles on one side of my face caused by always sleeping on my left and scrunching my face into my pillow that were trying to become permanent. It did take a night or two to change from side-sleeping to back- sleeping, but by doing so, I realized that my lower back feels better in the morning, and no more stiff neck. I like that it's longer than other pillows at 28", starting under my hips rather than under my shoulders. I think it might be nice if this pillow came in both 5" and 7" high, and perhaps with a choice of memory foam thickness, but other than that, I'm very happy with it, and all the nice things it brings with it.
