Great for the diy'er
Great for the diy'er. Picked this up for a kitchen install and it worked flawlessly. Comes in a nice hard case. Simple operation and mounts to standard camera tripods with no adapters needed. The red laser is highly visible from a solid distance indoors and out, and at this price I highly recommend it.

Level Everything, Always and Forever. Great tool.
How in the heck did I ever level things before I owned this? How did I ever transfer center lines from the top of a countertop to the ceiling for installation of pendants before this? How did I ever hang pictures level across a room before this? This is one killer tool, buy the tripod stand too, you'll love using it for a variety of things. I love the fact you have both horizontal and vertical levels. Attaches easily to a tripod. Simply and easy tool to use. Only gripe is the laser line is a bit "fuzzy" so if you're a "need to be inside 1/16" accurate person, it can get a little fat and fuzzy. Great tool!!

Digital chalk line... buy it
I can't believe it took me this long to get one of these... sure it's expensive, but it's sooooo handy. For drywall, I hit the stud 90+% of the time running in screws... now it's 100% since I can swivel this over stud to stud and run the screws on the line and NEVER miss. My cabinets use a mounting rail... I made a single reference mark on one side of the kitchen at the desired height, and this shot a line over all three walls (try that with your chalk box!). The rails are all on a perfect level, cabinets all line up at the right elevation, and when I turn the laser off, the "chalk" magically disappears (no mess! haha). I also used it to do cutout layouts on the backs of the cabinets. I measured the offsets for the penetrations, and then transferred the X and Y coordinates to the boxes. I positioned the laser to get the intersections of these marks to drill the holes and then used an oscillating saw (and hole saw for rounds) to "connect the dots"

Works great. Easy to operate. Comes with instructions.
What a pleasure! I bought this after returning a cheap laser level that did not work and did not come with instructions to decode the odd assortment of buttons. This level worked the moment I turned it on and it came with instructions! Thank you!

Bright, easy to use, self-leveling, a very large display area
I have an old laser level. It's been three years and one would think that the technology has pretty much stayed the same. I was wrong. The improvement between my old laser level and this one is dramatic. I put them both on a stand and this one is easily twice as bright. Also, the dispersion of the beam is much greater. This one will cover almost 180° in a room. My other one did not cover that large an area. Also, this one has a self-leveling feature which is very convenient. It will let you know when you are within the parameters of the self-leveling system. For both vertical and horizontal laser lines, this one is great. It comes with its own case which is very convenient and nice and keeps it clean and handy. I read other reviews and looked at other products. I'm glad I chose this one

Perfect for any handyman
Worked great to align overhead ceiling racks - finished in less than half the time it did without it. Just moved into a new home and will be valuable in hanging paintings and shelves around the house.

Awesome tool
My contractor showed me this tool, never seen one before. Absolutely fantastic! I hung a flatscreen in twenty minutes PERFECTLY LEVEL. Probably a little overkill for a homeowner but it’s a fantastic tool that is easy to use and very handy!

Very accurate
I used this product outside for some grading in my back yard. Although it is made for interior, I used it in the dark at night. Then I could see the light much easier. I ran a benchmark circuit and it came out spot on. I love the auto level feature. Very good tool!

Great tool
Works great. I am a professional bathroom remodeler, and this is a must have tool for tile showers. Can be used for laying out walls, laying out floors, and can even be locked on for shooting a line on an angle for many different applications.

Virtual chalkline -- like having another set of hands!
Since my kids grew up and moved out, it seems I'm always short on a second set of hands to snap a chalk line. No need anymore, as this tool works great and casts a bright line. I've used both the plumb and level lines. You need to manually position it within 4 degrees of level/plumb, and it automatically levels itself beyond that point. The laser flashes until you're within that range of 4 degrees, so it's pretty easy to get it set up. I hung it on an end wall to get a line for installing a ceiling tile grid, and it threw a line on the other three walls and even extended a bit onto the wall it was hanging on. The magnetic bracket is powerful. I put it on some galvanized ductwork, and it held firmly. I've only used it indoors. My guess is that it probably is not bright enough for outdoor use, if you have such a need. I haven't used many other laser levels, and this is the first one I've personally owned, so I don't have a good point for comparison. But for my uses, this has proven to be a great investment.
