A GEM OF A MINI CHOPPER/BLENDER/GRATER/SLICER
I had been looking for a replacement for my old "mini" chopper when I came across this one. After several years of use my old "twist" style chopper became very difficult to assemble and operate. As I cook for 2, the 4 cup HB mini is perfect. PROS: Very easy to assemble and take apart as everything just "lifts off" no twisting required Super easy to clean The chopping blade has two blades in stead of one which allows for a finer 'chop" or blending The feed chute is rectangle which makes it easier to fit food into [my old one had a crescent shaped feed chute which made fitting food into near impossible...go figure!] Comes with two blades that chop, blend, grate and/or slice just like its bigger siblings This unit is tall but does not take up very much cab or counter space The lid fits snugly if properly lined up; you do have to gently push down on the lid so that the seal engages. A few reviewers have mentioned that a tab on the top located toward the handle end has broken off. I took note of this and so am careful to properly line the spout with the top and the tab with its corresponding slot at the handle. So far I've had no problems. CONS Unless you are using a really small block of cheese, the image shown grating a block of cheese is a little misleading! If you are in need of a small chopper this one is a great choice, for its size, usability [being able to chop, slice and grate] and ease of use and cleaning.

Absolutely love this little machine
Absolutely love this little machine! It's just the right size, chops, slices, and shreds beautifully. On/off or pulse. No bells and whistles to work with. Just plain simple wonderful machine. It also has suction feet so that it doesn't jump around. A great buy at a good price. Definitely would buy again!

Good Processer that does a great job!
works great and has a lot of uses... although i had to also get my wife a little "Samurai" blender / chopper as well now because a lot of the stuff she needs it for is little things so to take this big one out, use it for two seconds and spend the next 10-15 minutes washing it and drying it is too much. but for the bigger jobs, this is the go to chopper, shredder, blender, slicer and dicer!

Inexpensive, Includes Shredding and Slicing Disc, Bigger Bowl than Cuisinart
This inexpensive little food processor does all it is supposed to do, and one more thing: Slicing and shredding. This is the only small sized processor I found to have a shredding disc for shredding cheese. Pizza night is much easier because I don't have to pull out the huge processor. This one comes out and does its job quickly, doesn't take up too much space in the dishwasher. The bowl capacity is slightly larger than the small Cuisinart, another advantage as I have found those too small. A worthy investment for those many times you don't want to mess with the heavy duty appliance.

There's a learning curve, but I like it
I have arthritis and simply can't deal with the twist-on types of choppers. This is easier on the hands BUT there is a learning curve. The seal on the lid makes it trick to pull off. For me, gripping the chute and very gently pulling toward the pouring spout does the trick. The latches were really stiff at first, but now they work fine. They will not latch if you have the lid on backwards! The blades are terrific, the unit is much quieter than many I have tried. I chopped parsley to freeze first, worked like a charm. It then got garlic and ginger fairly small. Like every chopper, it does better with a fuller load. I am personally glad I got the 4 cup because I usually have smaller jobs. The pulse is a great feature and helps prevent accidentally mushing soft things up. The suction cups on the bottom work. What I don't like so much is the double walled handle. There is already a bit of parsley stuck in there. It looks like you can unscrew everything to clean, but that's a lot of work. The chamber has a lot of unnecessary indentations, which make it hard to get everything out, even with a spatula. So 5 stars for the stack & snap idea, the excellent quad knives and the motor, 3 stars for the weird design of the chamber, 1 star for the miniscule and very skinny chute, which has so far only been useful for getting the lid off. If you need to slice and shred more than chop, I would recommend another model. But this one is great for onions, garlic, peppers, tomatoes anything choppable.

Nice little blender
This little blender works exactly as it should! There's a mighty powerful motor in this thing that makes pesto and hummus making a breeze! Not too mention all my onions, peppers, and garlic for salsa. Stores away easy, too! Yes, it goes without saying, the blades are sharp so don't just cram your hand into the box without looking. And yes, it's a 4-cupper, so its small. This is exactly what I ordered. Folks who give bad reviews for saying something is sharp or small when it's supposed to be, yes, sharp and small, should think twice before reviewing.

4.5 stars... but Perfect size!!!
This is the perfect sized food processor for everyday usage. I can shred a single block of cheese without feeling like I used too big of an appliance for such a small task. Mixing the perfect batch of anything for my small family of 3 is easy with this appliance. It takes up virtually NO ROOM on the countertop unlike a full size processor. My favorite way to use this is to quick chop veggies to sautee for dinner almost #everyday

Awesome little appliance!
I love my little food processor! I mostly slice cucumbers in mine but it does a great job! I have had one problem though. The safety tab on the lid broke off. I glued it back on but it didn't stay. Now I just stick it in the hole so I can still use it. I looked at the Hamilton Beach website and the lid can be replaced but it is "out of stock." I will try to contact the company for help since I have only had it since February 2018.

Dog treats🐾
I was looking for an affordable and easy to use processor. The main reason is for my 9 y/o son since he started making dog treats to gift the neighborhood dogs and also try and sell them to make some money for the Summer. I can feel safe him using it if I'm in the next room. Worth the money I spent and would reccomend to anyone else!

Small and narrow chute will not fit many foods whole
The unit works great and has a small footprint but food has to be cut to fit in top chute. I didn't think of that. I sliced dry salami with my old unit and can not with this so take that into consideration.
