holds a lot
I bought these for my incontinent male dog he is big, 100 lbs. I stick them to his washable dog diaper just as you would a human, they hold most of his urine most of the time. It certainly has saved him from being wet feeling and me from washing a lot and keeps stains and smells to minimum in his wraps. I dispose of them using a dog poop bag so no smell in garbage either.

I use these with a diaper for a 9 year old.
I bought these for my step son. He is a 9 year old with spina bifida and wears a diaper 24/7. I hate the Prevails that he gets through Medicaid. They do not hold very much and the cotton in them fall apart. These really help absorb the extra fluids and prevent the leaking problems we were having.

These are the best I ever bought
These are the best I ever bought! I use these in my male dogs “wrap”, as he is 15 and the wraps without this “guard” won’t hold all his urine. These are great pads....thick, and certainly mask a lot of the sweet smelling odor and best of all don’t leak, even when folding to toss. Highly recommend!

Great price for a great product
I buy these for my small senior dogs who wear washable diapers due to incontinence. One has kidney failure, and drinks tons of water, so a high quality product like this really helps. These guards absorb more than any of the women's products I've tried, yet they cost less. They are perfect for overnight, and it has been the only product successful in preventing leaks.

POST OP - PROSTATE SURGERY
2 WEEKS POST OP LAPROSCOPIC PROSTATE SUGERY 1 Week after Catheter removal I’m posting this review for all three Depends products that I purchased on Amazon: light and heavy shields and the men’s light briefs. GREAT PRODUCTS SHIELDS The shields products had great absorbency but they recommend using with briefs, rather boxers. It was a bit difficult to position in the pad at the correct height, but no a huge problem. The problem is that my briefs were a stretch sport brief – held the pad well and the waist band was right over the five incision sites – and very uncomfortable. Decided to try some inexpensive briefs – a size up. Eased the pressure on the waist band but the shield moved around too much because the briefs were looser. I switched (on the third day after the catherer was removed) to the Depends BRIEFS (light absorbency). MUCH more comfortable at the incision site. So it’s a diaper – it works! You can try adding a pad, but it sticks to absorbent material of the brief. You can’t really reposition the pad after it is stuck to the pad in the brief. Have to change both at the same time. Not a big deal if you need the extra protection. Neither the shields nor the briefs look odd in the looser fitting pants ( to reduce pressure incision sites) when out in public.

Great Product
reat product for the price. My father-in-law uses these and this is the best to buy these kinds of items. Shipped in plain/unmarked boxes; no embarrassing boxes left on the porch.

Everything was dry in the morning .
I could not be more pleased . I am caring for a friend who suffers from overflow incontinence due to a neurological disorder . He had been using Teena medium absorbency pads ( which are great for the day by the way ) . He tried pull ups for sleeping as well as the Teena's and there was always leakage which meant a wipe down with wet wipes , change of underwear and change of bed pads . In the evenings it was a constant battle to keep clean and keep dry . Always creating lots of laundry and lots of trash going through many disposable bed pads as well as leaking onto waterproof mats . These are a god send . They do not leak ! They have gathered edges that keep all the liquid in place . I could not be more happy to of found these and that they work so well . Saving us all from uncomfortable messes and being more disturbed in the night . Now it's just a trip to the bathroom and the changing of a pad , even his underwear was still dry ! So happy this product exists , I can't recommend enough .

Solves my issue.
My problem is somewhat different in that at night I seem to sleep so deeply at times that my bladder doesn’t wake me resulting light to moderate leakage. The Depend pads easily handle this. The pads are a little bulkier than I expected so I might give the “lighter” absorption” pads a try but then again, better safe than sorry with the maximum absorption pads. As of now, I only use the pads while sleeping and find I don’t need to use the adhesive strip to keep them in place. Since I don’t soak the pads, I can use the pad’s little individual wrapping package for disposal.

A good product
It is a matter of feeling secure. In that sense they work very well. I feel confident and comfortable wearing them since the absorptive capacity is truly great.

Huge Help !
If you are caring for someone who has incontinence issues, or if you are a man dealing with this, these guards are a big help. With my Dad, who is constantly cold and wears several layers of clothing, to change him through out the day, can be very time consuming. He wears his regular trousers or jeans but also long johns, all year long. Before I discovered the inserts, I had to get Dad completely undressed from waist down just to change a wet Depends. (Because there are no decent day time diapers with tabs, so they have to be pulled on from the feet up, not placed on like a child's diaper with tabs on the side.) Now when Dad has only been wearing the Depends a couple of hours but I want him to feel dry, you just swop in a new insert for the old and he is all set, nice and dry in a few seconds, with out completely un dressing.
