With my other kids, I have always used a space saver high chair- they are usually inexpensive & are great for traveling with. However, with our newest baby we also have a new dining room set- specifically chairs with leather like seats so a space saver would ruin the seats by leaving an impression on them... not to mention all the sticky foods etc that would find there way there. So on goes my search for a different high chair. I knew I needed something that was easy to travel with, was freestanding, & affordable. This high chair hit all the marks plus more!!! My favorite part of the chair, like the majority of the other reviewers, is the swivel tray (& really, all of the tray in general). It makes it SO easy to get baby in & out! You can also pull the tray completely off if you prefer. I also like how the tray can be adjusted for how much room you would like in between Baby & tray... that feature makes the chair easy to grow with your little one. In addition, it comes with a clear clip on tray insert which creates for the easiest clean up ever! The next big sell for me was that it can fold down to about the size of a beach chair- something I really appreciate as we travel quite a bit via car. This was the only high chair I found in my price range that folded up to be this compact. Other big pluses of the high chair is the step/foot rest, durable/comfortable fabric & straps, & that it came in box with no assembly required! The only slight negative is that the chair does not recline back any which makes it a little harder for smaller babies to stay in place. However, I decided that long term we probably wouldn't use that feature as she learns to sit up on her own. This is also why the chair is marketed for 6 months & up, I'm sure. Currently our daughter is 4 months (13.8 pounds & 25.5 inches). She isn't eating baby food yet, but she loves to sit up & be apart of the group. We put her in the chair for all of our family meals that she's awake for, strap her in, & put a blanket to the side of her so she doesn't slump over. It's perfect! I couldn't be happier with this purchase! UPDATE: Our daughter is now 8 months old, sitting up on her own, and eating meals. I have no complaints about this chair. Very easy to clean, continuously looks sharp, and is very functional. I highly recommend!

I am really loving our new JOOVY Nook high chair. We have been using a OXO Tot Seedling High Chair, Mocha for the past three years which we also like. Here is how the two stack up. Pros (+): + No Assembly - The Nook is ready to be use out of the box. Unless you've used it before, you might still need to go over the instructions to figure out how to unfold it and attach the food tray. You may have to adjust the 5 point safety harness to fit your child, but other than that, you're done. + Light - Much lighter than our OXO. I can lift with one arm + Folds, Portable and Easy to Store- The Nook folds up really compact and can be taken with you wherever you go or simply stored away. The OXO cannot and is a bit of a space hog. Easy to fold I can almost do it one handed + Pivoting and adjustable food tray - I've not seen anything like this. I love the pivoting tray. With the OXO, I have to completely remove it to get my kid out. And I don't always have space to put it on my dining table or on the counter. With the Nook, the tray can stay attached. The Nook tray is also adjustable and you can push it in or pull it out from your child for a more customized fit. My OXO doesn't have this either. The tray just locks into one place. One size fits all + Padded Leatherette seat - Very nice and wipe-able (I got the turquoise and love the color too). It covers the entire seat and the back so I expect it will last as long as the chair does. The cover on the Nook does not seem to have the design problem problem that the pad on the OXO chair had. I threw out the seat cover on the OXO about 1 year into use because it was attached to the chair using plastic pegs which snapped after two washes and my toddler pulling on them constantly. The OXO seat is a molded bucket and comfortable so having a pad is not imperative. + Very nice and easy to use 5-point harness. Way better than the OXO one which I ended up cutting off. But I think I will be using the Nook one. Cons (-): -No Adjustable Seat Height - The Nook seat cannot be adjusted for height. The OXO does. I liked this feature when I got the OXO but after 3 years of using it, I have to say I never used this feature. Not even once. But putting it out there in case it is important to you. The OXO at the highest setting is about the same height as the Nook. - No Seat Recline - The Nook seat does not recline. The OXO does. Same as above. I liked this feature and thought it would be helpful to tilt the chair back if I ever wanted to bottle feed my baby in a highchair. Never used this feature once. - Cannot Roll Chair with Child Inside - The OXO has wheels on all four legs. The chair can be wheeled from room to room with child inside. All four of the wheels lock for safety as well. In contrast, the Nook does not have wheels on all four legs. It has something like wheels (rollers) on the back two leg/corners. You must tilt the chair back to engage the rollers. By how far back you have to tilt the chair, I am going that is was probably not designed to be used with a child strapped inside and really more of a convenience thing for you to easily move the chair from room to room. Why is it helpful to be able to move the chair with child inside? Well, for one I don't have to take my kid out if we need to move. And moving a high chair with a 35 lbs. toddler can be heavy. I've gotten so used to this feature on the OXO that I use the chair for more than just meal times. Sometimes I have my child sitting in her high chair playing with toys when I am doing things around the house or getting ready for work in the morning and I need her to stay in one place. I can just drag the chair (with child inside) to where I am in the house. So I loved this convenient feature on the OXO. But I guess if you do not have wood or hard floors in your home, this point is irrelevant. We love both chairs. And I think the best thing about the Nook is that it can be folded and put away or taken to grandma's house. This space saving convenience is much appreciated especially when I already have another chair that cannot be put away. Check out my pictures of the Nook and side by side with my old OXO.

I love this high chair. The first high chair I bought as a grandma is one that goes on a chair, it is a really good high chair with on small problem, it takes up an adult chair. I then bought a freestanding high chair but it had no support in the back of the seat so all the kids were slouching... terrible design. Then I found this chair and I LOVE IT. It folds up nicely, it is light weight but sturdy and has firm back in the seat with a nice padded cover. I love the removal plastic tray on top and like how the actual tray swivels so it is a one handed operation. Last but not least, I like the three different settings to move the tray closer or further depending on the needs of the child using it. I have 5 grandbabies ranging from 7mos to 3 years. It is a wonderful product. UPDATE: I was asked if the cover is easy to remove and clean, it is not easy to remove and clean, but the material is easy to wipe clean and I don't feel a need to remove it. As for the adjustments, they are not real easy, but I still LOVE this high chair best our of the 3 different high chairs I have purchased for my home. I would still buy it again and I still recommend it. I just wanted to give the up date on the seat cover.

I had a Costco high chair and it was used for 6 months to 12 months. I like this one better as the removable tray is so helpful, the swing open feature is more practical and the design is way more attractive. Easy to clean too, but I can't figure out how to remove the fabric which was my main reason for switching. Also, a 5 point harnest is over kill to me we are having dinner not going on a road trip. So I pulled the chest straps out the back so we don't use that feature and I don't even use it as a 3 point rarely because when the tray is in they can't get out of stand up. But, I like that I have options and I use the 3 point at times, it depends on the child if you have a climber 5 points is good. Overall, I would recommend and live this chair!

The coral looks more like a rose gold. I love this high chair so much! ! My 6 month old loves it. I love how easy it is to open one side with just one hand. Top tray comes off easily for cleaning. Easy to wipe down the chair . LOVE! Came fast too.

I really like this high chair. It is lightweight and easy to clean. It has a removable see-through tray that snaps onto the main tray for easy cleaning. I love that the main tray just swivels open instead of being fully removed so it makes getting your child in and out much easier. I also like how easy the entire high chair is to wipe down. Some reviewers complained that it is hard to clean, but I have found that spending a few extra minutes at the end of the day giving the high chair a good wipe down has really helped keep it in great shape. Another tip: I only strap my child in securely using the waist straps. I put the shoulder/chest straps through the slots and have them hidden so that they don't get dirty. My child is still securely fastened into the seat and unable to stand up or move around, but I don't have the annoyance of the other straps getting filthy where you can see them. That would bother me. The high chair does feel slightly cheap, but for the price it is a great, easy-to-clean seat! My child loves it, too.

I love this high chair. So let's start with the pros. Pros: 1. Love the swiveling tray, that way I can get my baby out of the chair without having to worry about taking the tray out first. 2. It is light (when no baby sitting on it), so I can move it around easily. 3. It also folds pretty small even though I normally just keep it open. 4. It is easy to clean. 5. The tray is HUGE! Which helps from food ending up on the floor. And the removable part is all one straight piece. So very easy to clean. And it actually does fit the dishwasher! Cons: 1. The cover is a little hard to take off, but I have only had to remove it once. 2. My baby seems to slide down a little and slouch in this chair. He is only 11 months and hopefully he'll grow into it. But right now that is the only thing that I bothers me a little about the chair.

After much researching on simple, not too high priced high chairs, I decided on this one. It came quickly and when removed from the box no assembly was required. Aside from removing the wrapping and cutting one zip tie, it was ready to use. We unfolded it, inspected it, made sure the tray went on easily and thought, wow, that was so easy. I really like the fact that the tray swings out to the side. It swings out far enough to easily put my grandson in and buckle him up. We adjusted the shoulder straps to fit on him comfortably, yet, hold him in place. He is quite the wiggle worm. The removable tray is a great feature, especially for messy meals. Just pop it off and you have less the mess. I have found the high chair is easy to clean. There are nooks and crannies in the padded seat, but, it's not as difficult to clean as some of the other reviews I have read. So, I purchased a wet/dry cordless hand vac to do this job. We can't expect everything to be easy peazy. I think we are going to be very satisfied with the Joovy Nook High Chair, oh, and it will be very easy to transport when need be. It is now two weeks later and I wanted to add to my review. My Grandson has quickly figured out how to push the buttons on the side of the arms of the high chair and can move the tray back and forth. Not a good feature, (hence, the 4 stars). Food can get stuck in the button holes and makes it a little difficult to clean. A small toothbrush helps pretty good at cleaning out the buttons. I do use a small handheld portable vacuum to clean him and the chair. He likes being tickled by the vacuum. And, less mess on the floor, All in all I am liking this chair. The swing out feature of the tray is awesome and the pop off top tray makes cleanup much easier. It's easy to clean, store and transport. With all that being said, I must say I am disappointed that there was not a detailed instruction booklet that came with it, on how to remove the padded seat for laundering. I had to You Tube the instructions on how to remove the padded seat. Although there are 11 points of disengagement, it shouldn't be difficult. So, if you purchase this high chair, You Tube it to get the instructions.. Thus, 4 points instead of 5. Update: one year later. Thus chair has held up so well, I had to a follow up. Still looks like a new chair, except for a grape juice stain I couldn't get out. No cracks, chips, ot tears in the leatherette. This is by far the best investment for the money. All the buckles and hooks are still 100% in good shape. Still easy to take apart and clean. And yes I still use a small hand vac for the loose crumbs. Great clean up tool. Someone said in a review and also posted a picture with it that the side rails would get caked with food and they couldn't clean it. Solution to that is, you remove the side rails and wash and dry them and place back on the high chair. 5 stars and thumbs up for this chair.

Where was this chair 6 years ago when I had my first baby! Adorable, easy to fold, folds small to travel, the coral pink imitation leather is gorgeous!!! I love that the tray moves off a side and you don’t have to deal with pulling it to remove it! The tray is big and the clear tray on top is super easy to remove and wash. I was debating between this and an IKEA chair. So glad I made this choice. Very simple design, yet comfortable and beautiful. The only reason why I would give it a 4 star is the silly wheels on the back. They are not big enough to roll around. So make sure you out the chair where you want your baby to stay. For me rollin the chair is not an option. They need to improve this part of the design, other then this, it is PERFECT! Worth the money!

After using this for a while, I feel I can now give this an honest review. This is a great,m space saving and money saving high chair. The super modern design and sleek design make it so that the chair isn’t an eyesore. It also doesn’t take up much space and is a great option for someone with a small dining area or living in an apartment. The setup was very simple and because there is no fabric, cleanup is a breeze. There is very little room for food to fall between cracks, but if it does simply unhook the seat cover and wipe it up. So simple and easy to keep clean. The plastic tray cover is also a great addition. All in all, I’m glad I got this chair and decided against other super expensive options. I would definitely recommend it.
