Store around here don't carry this packaging for tomato sauce. This sauce is my kids favorite. It has the right consistency and mild spices to use straight out of the can (really!, try it) I'm glad Amazon has this particular packaging because it reduces waste significantly, is easier to use, and easier to store. I have a simple tab to open with a lid to close unused sauce and I can write the open date on the top for food safety. The alternative (cans) mean I have to stack them, use can openers, spatula's to wipe the inside of the can, squeeze those cans in the recycling, and finding the right size container to put unused sauce in the fridge with a lid and with no date writing.

Bought twice now. If you open it & don’t use it all, freeze it in the box.

Used for sauces, soups, lasagna, spaghetti sauce...If you open it and don’t need it all, just freeze what’s left in the box.

Taste like Hunt's Tomato Sauce to me!

Got these in today and boxes arrived in perfect condition and expiration dates of March 2021. Ordered two 6 packs as they were a great price and the local stores will not let me get a full case of cans due to the pandemic. I packed 11 in my pantry and started making some medium shells. I added some of the sauce and a little seasonings and chowed down on some poor man's Italian feast! It tasted great just like sauce I use in the can and the price was around 23 cents cheaper per 15 ounces compared to cans so it was awesome! Saved money on sauce, Saved money on gas to drive to store, Saved time by not having to leave the house!

Awesomesauce!

I was happily impressed when I opened the box for this and found it was safely encased in two more boxes (since I ordered two). Thus the boxed tomato sauce was very well protected and had suffered no damage in transit. And when I took out a box and opened it up it smelled quite fresh and just like regular old canned tomato sauce. These boxes will be very easy to store in my pantry and the two orders of tomato sauce that I purchased will be used to make tomato juice for many months to come! I use my tomato sauce to make tomato juice by watering it down and adding a bit of salt and pepper and drinking it over ice. It's delicious. And saves me paying $2 for a 16 oz bottle of tomato juice!

Exceeded my expectations!

I find this sauce very tasty and a nice consistency. I admit I was expecting a blander sauce, but I was pleased to find the flavor quite robustly tomato-ey. The packaging is super convenient. If I don’t use the entire contents, I don’t need to transfer what’s left to a separate container; I can just put the box in the fridge. (I will keep this product in mind for food pantry donations, which generally won’t accept glass jars.)

I make my grandmas spaghetti recipe for the entire family and freeze it and ship it all over the world - Hunts is at the core of that secret sauce and always has been. this has been the best find! The quality and flavour has not been lost by being in carton containers and the price point is great! Thank you!

Excellent tomato sauce starter

Great for spaghetti sauce base. Good, clean tomato flavor.

Does not specify as organic, it is non-GMO, no added sugar.

A little hard getting it all out of the box, have to rinse a few time. Great rates, wonderfulvfor making salsa and can add it to a pot of beans.

Cartons are great if you dont use it all at once.

Its from Hunts so it tastes good, isn’t too salty and is a reasonable price. The thing that makes me buy this is the carton packaging. Use as much as you need and the rest can be put in the fridge to use later without you having to repack it.

Great Product

I was surprised it came in a resealable carton but it was awesome to know you could store it and use it later. Love the taste.
