Without a protector the screen of my Sony RX100m3 got gradually covered with scratches visible from an angle. Amazingly the protector seems more resilient than the screen itself, since I cannot see any scratches on it after a comparable time on the camera. Maybe I learned to be more careful with the camera, but no matter what the protector works for me.
