1. I have a question before purchasing another. Does the app software still run on the iPad or tablet as well as from the wrist band? I've purchased one for one grandson with just the app for his iPad but want to get on for the other grandson with the wrist band. 2. Can I purchase a wrist band for the first one I purchased that just has the application on the iPad? thanks, Wanda (WLS40@icloud.com)

Got this for my son for Christmas, he’s 12, it’s very well made and it’s very entertaining as well

I just got my little robot friend in the mail today. I've first seen it a few weeks back for Christmas at a gadget center in the mall (mainly for older adults who still act like kids). I walked past and turned my head when I seen that little black eye and rounding figure. My boyfriend who was with me thought I was being kidnapped since he didn't notice I stopped when I screamed very loudly. I love Star Wars (more than Star Street, sorry Star Trek fans), but sadly I didn't see the latest movie before the newest one came out. So I missed out on seeing BB-8 in the theatres. Any who, back to my story. I ran in the store and all I could do was point at this little robot sitting on the shelf. I wanted him, I wanted him right then and there. So the guy placed the wrist band on his arm and showed me how he could control BB-8. I kinda freaked when he was rolling the robot and it hit the corner of a shelf which decapitated the robot. He easily placed the head back on and he made it follow him back over to us. He rolled the robot around and brought it back to me which he made it bump my foot a few times. I looked down and he some how made the BB-8 look up at me. I know the head is magnetic, but I don't know if it was the way he did his hand, but it caught me. I couldn't help but fall in love with this little guy. We ended up leaving without one, because we had gone shopping and our budget was cut for the day. I remembered I had an account with Amazon and quickly took out my phone to find it. Sure enough there he was, then before I knew it he was in my check out basket heading home to me. So now I'm looking at him feeling butterflies in my stomach. (I think my boyfriend got replaced. Lol jk jk.) I was reading upon a lot of research iews which made me a bit scared, but even if he doesn't do a lot of things which were said, I don't care. He will go everywhere with me. I will even bring him to work which I've already warned my bosses that I was bringing my "pet". So now I can't wait to walk in with him rolling in behind me!!

It took a little while to download the app and update everything (including the force band), but once everything was updated and ready to go, my husband had a blast! I was kinda skeptical that it would actually roll around, but it does! BB8's head attaches magnetically, so it pops off when the body collides with anything. But it is well-controlled with the force band. Now, we can have a dance off between BB8, R2-D2, and Groot! XD

This BB8 Spheo Droid "Is the Droid You're Looking For" is actually the Droid you're looking for. Sphero did a great job creating this product! BB8 is a really cool Droid! The features on the app are great and cool! The Force Band is what I love the most. You can control BB8 with your arm and unlock different abilities using the force. Also, the app that you use to control your BB8 is same app that you use for the Force Band! That is great for storage efficiency. Another cool thing is that you can play in different activities! Finally, the BB8 app gives you a tutorial on how to use everything! This Toy is for everyone who loves to control robots! I bought this toy from Amazon and it came in a nice package with nothing wrong or damaged stuff in it. This Toy is great for any gender! Best Toy of The Year?

I bought my son this BB-8, He's 8 years old and he said "this is awesome. He has the force band too. BB-8 can move his head and body. It's amazing how BB-8 moves his body when his head is up! The force band can do 3 things: 1. you can control your droid with the force. 2. You can do combat training so pretend you have a pistol in your hand then pretend your shooting then the force band will make a sound. 3. Force awareness so you will have to wait with the force band on your hand and suddenly your force band will say "I feel a great disturbance in the force". The force band will buzz and you have to move your hand then it will make a sound then go to the app and it will show you a Holocron.

Tried other BB8 droid models, and they were a disaster... this one works really well, moves like the actual BB8. The hand motions take a little getting used to, and it seems to love dark corners (often finds itself under our couch for some reason)- but our family loves it, we treat it as a pet (that you can control!).

If you are here it means your thinking about it. If your thinking about it, it means your are interested. If you are interested it means that you or a family member are a fan. If you are a fan then what are you waiting for. It's a mini remote controlled BB8. What more of an excuse do you need?

just fun fun fun! If you want to train it with the wrist device, it can do more. There are some sites to enhance this BB8.

I bought it was a gift for my boyfriends birthday and he absolutely loves every part of it. BB-8 is adorable. we just watched Rogue One with his commentary after BB-8 finished playing and getting aquainted with our cat. overall, i think this was a great purchase. He works on rugs and tile floor pretty well. Sure, he may like to go to corners or under furniture at times like other complain of but i feel like this is the least you can expect from a toy. its really well made and very intuitive. i'm impressed
