Pretty awesome
Great stuff - Make sure to get a couple of different size rollers for install, and a few rolls of the noico aluminum tape if you would like to seal up the seams (I consider this a must). I needed 64 sq ft to do my 1994 F150 standard cab truck. Keep in mind that the different size packages (10, 18, 36 sq ft) will have different size cuts. The smaller the package the smaller the cuts. The 36 has very large pieces that are great for the roof or floor. The 18 and 10 have smaller pieces that are good for doors, or areas where you really need to shape. it. Plan on spending the better part of a weekend, maybe longer, to do it right.

Don’t Buy Dyna Mat Or Any Other Overpriced Brand!
This is 100% legit, aluminum backed butyl rubber. The EXACT same material as Dyna Mat, Fat Mat and all the other brands that charge INSANE prices for this stuff. Outstanding quality, improved my car stereo sound quality dramatically and cost less than half the price of equivalent name brand deadener. 10 sq/ft of this stuff is more than enough to do all four doors in your car and then some. People tend to lean toward overkill and stick this EVERYWHERE inside their door skins. That’s incorrect usage as this is meant to lower the reasonance of your doors to eliminate the vibrations and tinny sound. You only need to place a few strips on various places. No need to use more and your door will weigh 350lbs if you do.

Can't beat this price and while it's not as good as Dynamat...it GETS THE JOB DONE.
Not as thick or sticky as Dynamat Xtreme (I used both during my installation to compare) but this stuff gets the job done. You can't beat the price either. I'll definitely purchase more. As much as I love Dynamat and have used it for years...I can't see myself spending double? triple?...quadruple? the price (I haven't done the math yet). But this stuff worked great. Arrived quickly since they made it available for Prime Shipping. Very happy with my purchase. I purchased one box (10 sq ft) and it's plenty for what I was using it for (surrounding 4 speakers and behind the speakers). I have a few feet left over to throw inside the door skin.

Much better then expected
I bought 2 kits to do my entire interior to my truck. I am quite impressed that for the price it blows seat Dynanmat. I like that when you hear it and roll it on using a metal roller you can clearly see if you missed a spot based on the metallic side with the bubble texture. 1/3 the price of dynamat and the fact it's made of The same thing. Don't hesitate to use it.

Cheaper Than The Other Brands But Just As Effective!
I got sound deadening throughout my car (trunk, front doors, floors, etc.). I've been through Dynomat, Fatmat, etc. I had to replace a blown speaker recently on the back walls and decided to put some sound deadening there also. I found this company to be cheaper and still have good reviews. I also like how it comes in small square sheets. In the past, you had to cut the shapes out that you needed from a large roll. Overall, there is noticeable improvement in sound (sharper bass, less muffling, more sound directed inside the car). The key is to roll it over and over. The flatter it is smashed against the metal in the car, the better the results. See pic for how I applied mine.

Be aware of temp during install
The material is thin but very dense and heavy. If youre cutting it youll want to be aware of the temperature. I left it in my garage, temps got just below 90 that day. Did the install around 11pm and the soundproofing was soft and in some spots would string out pretty badly when i cut it. In my case i needed thin pliable strips so it worked out. There is a small amount of tar in the material and it seems easiest to cut with an old pair of scissors. They will get gummed up w tar. Edit: I cut 2 sheets into strips to fit inside the door panels and placed the strips in the dead spots between the door braces. Then used the rest to cover all holes and dead spots on the inner door panel. This proved to be a little tricky because those big holes are there for a reason (the back of your door card). Once installed, it makes the doors a little heavier and a lot more solid when they close. Its technically not a noise dampener but in my situation it has made a big difference in quieting wind and road noise comming from the doors. But the biggest thing is how good its made my lower end speaker upgrade sound. They sound a lot more expensive than they are. Ive already bought a second box for the trunk. It would take more than 1 box if youre looking for total coverage of both doors. But total coverage dosnt seem necessary being that its a vibration dampener, not a noise dampener.

Kills excess sound, easy to install
I'm in the middle of renovating my 2000 Dodge Caravan. I pulled out the seats, flooring and carpet. I noticed a LOT of noise, even after insulating the walls with foam, reflectix and carpet. I put down insulation on the floor, but still had rattles. I pulled up the flooring and put this stuff on the ceiling and floor and wow - what a difference! Would put this on side walls next time. Great investment. You don't have to put it wall-to-wall either. You just have to put it every foot or two along the wall or floor. Do a little research before buying or installing. Putting it across an area piece-to-piece doesn't give a better performance and may even hurt the sound. So you don't need a dozen boxes. One to two boxes for a van should be plenty. Put it on the ceiling, walls, and floor - usually in the center of the metal to cut down vibration. Very easy to apply. I suggest leaving it in the sun so it's warmed before you install. It bends easier and is easier to roll down if it's warm. Order the roller that goes with it...I have the expensive roller and the cheap one. Both work, but the hard rubber, more expensive version works a hair better. No huge difference. Both will do the job, but the more expensive roller does it a bit faster. There are various brands and versions of this out there, at various prices of course, but I'm very happy with this. Do your research, but if budget is your main concern, don't worry about going with this. It's solid.

Perfect for motorcycle skid plates!
I put this on a Flatlands aluminum skid plate to try and quiet things down a bit on my WR250R. I measured decibels while sitting on the bike before and after installing and it knocked 5 off the racket and much less vibration. I have a lot left over but it worked so well, I am thinking about wrapping my teenage boys in the stuff.

I would highly recommend this product for any sound deadening project you may have.
Okay, so I am starting by admitting that I did not use this for what it is described for. But I want others to know it’s usefulness... I actually ordered and used this to quiet a dishwasher...and it worked...quite well. We have a basic, builder grade dishwasher...oddly enough, it actually cleans and dries great...but it was SO loud...so I thought I would give this a shot. It worked great! While it did not turn this dishwasher into a $1500 super quiet model, it cut the sound greatly...probably by about 50% I would say. I simply applied these panels to the outside of the dishwasher “tub” as well as inside door on the backside of the sheet metal. One kit was perfect for this job, and the sheets are thin enough to not cause any clearance issues. I would highly recommend this product for any sound deadening project you may have.

Not just for cars, trucks, and SUVs
Strange as this may sound, I don't own a car. I live in the city and purchased this for sound proofing in my condo. I applied a number of these panels to the inside of my entry door to block sound passing through to the hallway. I then applied a nice woven material over the Noico mats to conceal them. Worked like a charm. I can't hear a word from anyone as they walk past my unit. Nor can they hear my private conversations in the hallway. It certainly beats buying an expensive new sound proof door. I also used this inside and around my window air conditioner. It quiets the AC when it's running and prevents noise from coming in from the street. Another use I found for it was to make several sound dampening panels for the windows. Should there be a loud concert or baseball game (I live near Fenway Park) I can deploy these panels to block unwanted noise. I'm sure I'll think up other uses for this stuff. It's really effective. Just a great all around product. Don't limit yourself to only using this in your car, truck, or SUV. Trust me, you can do a lot more with this fantastic product.
