After making a couple of minor modifcations I love this laptop cooler/stand because it works well in ventilating my laptop. First thing I did was use a usb elbow adapter like these: https://www.amazon.com/Vertical-Female-Adapter-Angle-Right/dp/B00EBAS1OW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479922155&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+elbow to make the outlet more convenient and not have the cord protruding out the bottom end. The other thing I did was to put an old credit card between the bottom edge of the laptop and the pop-out ledge to keep the laptop from sliding down off the stand. The pop-out ledge on the bottom of the stand doesn't come up far enough to secure the laptop when it is extended without the credit card.

I am such a fan of this Aicheson cooling pad! (Yes, bad pun intended...) The six fans are SO incredibly quiet that I actually thought that the cooling pad was DOA at first, BUT NO! It was CRANKING out the air under my laptop, but so quietly that I could not hear it. I lifted the edge and there was actual WIND under there. :D I put this photo to show the fans running with their bright blue lights (which I do not see with the laptop sitting on the cooling pad). The photo also shows the flip-up "stop" at the front edge of the cooling pad - I put it up just for the photo, since I NEVER use it. The rubber feet on my laptop grip the metal surface of the pad so well that my computer will never slide a millimeter in any direction - even if I tip this thing 45 degrees! What I love: The quiet. The air production. The metal mesh top. The INCLUDED USB hookup (yay!) which is beyond LONG enough. The price. What I don't: The adjustable stand - It is just way too flimsy to be believable, and it barely supports the cooling pad's weight without a laptop. I don't even want to try it with my computer on it! Also, the stand is definitely NOT designed to be used on anything other than a sturdy, flat surface (i.e. a desk) - NOT a lap. Why bother? My bottom line: This is a great cooling pad. It's quiet, efficient, and definitely worth the price. If you are looking for a way to tilt your laptop keyboard, keep looking...

Don't let the price of this Laptop cooler fool you. This is a very solid well built cooler with more options than the other cooling fans out there. I bought 7 of these at Christmas time and I only had one that had a slight problem. But absolutely will buy more of these cooling fans. We use them on our Laptops but also as a cooling device for our Sony Play Stations, and XBox gaming systems. I like the detachable cable that can be replace when it goes bad and you don't have to throw the cooling fan away, which happened with the other more expensive brand of cooler I purchased.

I use to have a cooling pad that really does not work, so I bought this one as the price seems right for me to try it, and it works perfectly, my laptop now has a nice low temperature most of the times (but I live in a really hot place so I could no ask the laptop get totally cold until I get an air conditioner) but there is a really big difference and I appreciated. As I have my laptop in a desk, I notice that there is no airflow at least is in an upper position (with the Adjustable Mounts Stand that you could use), but they put the laptop way to high for me so it was not comfortable to use this stands for me, so I found a solution, I just put a plastic soda cap in each corner and voila!, it gets the airflow that it needs.

Update: Okay, I retract my earlier review. I recently started using this thing with my laptop placed on a desk, using a separate keyboard & mouse, hooked up to a 50" tv... And I'm actually pretty impressed. Although it doesn't produce a lot of airflow, I haven't felt my laptop overheat since setting it up. And trust me, I'm pushing it; playing Skyrim with over 3k mods installed (200 plugins, which are really 500 or so which have been merged to avoid hitting the limit), on ultra settings with a high end Enb. I'm sure to most of you, what I just said was jibberish... So to put it give you another example: it's like I'm running the most demanding game released in 2018, plus a less demanding game, on ultra settings with a GTX 2GB GPU, 4-core CPU, and 16GB RAM laptop. And for non-gamers: I'm amazed my laptop hasn't caught fire. I'm honestly impressed. I can barely hear it, especially over my laptop's internal fans, speaking of which, have quieted down a lot since setting this up. So yeah, the noise level is pretty fantastic (not that I really cared too much about noise). Great for gaming! Also very lightweight, so I'm sure that makes for some great portability! As per my previous review, however... I do not recommend using this on your lap. It does best on a solid flat surface, even if you're allowing it to get airflow while on your lap. (images supplied are of the setup, laptop being lifted to show fans, full shot of setup on desk w/ 50" TV - with super modder Skyrim) INITIAL THOUGHTS (OLD): Six fans and it barely gives off any kind of air at all. The lap desk I bought with one built in fan blows more air than this thing. Not really understanding its purpose other than a cool blue light.

I got this for my son's birthday for his new gaming laptop. I swear it is the quietest fan I have ever dealt with. I had to lift up the laptop every once in awhile to check if it was on! (It was!) It is a nice design with the rounded edge that has a piece that you can pull out if you want to hold the computer on if you use the tilt feature. It also has 2 USB ports on it so you don't waste any by plugging it in to your computer, and you get an extra. Also if you have to carry the laptop sitting on the cooler at the same time to another room, it feels stable. It's much better than my laptop fan, and I really like mine. But if mine dies, I know what I'll get next.

This product is AWESOME. Don't listen to the people who down graded this product. They must be doing tasks that are beyond the capibility of their laptop. I have ZERO issue with this product. It is made cheaply, but everything these days are. For best results make sure you put your laptop at an incline so the fans can breathe fresh air. It will cool your laptop BUT you cannot expect it to allow you to use a machine you shouldn't be using. If this product can't cook your machine, you need a new laptop.

I do love this but there are some negatives that you should be aware of. First the positives: SIX !!! fans, I use my laptop for for photo and video editing and it runs HOT with this pad no more sliding the computer around on the chill pad to get a fan under the hot spots, it cools the whole thing. And it's dead quiet. Not that the sound of previous coolers bothered me but, really, with my ear right up to it, this one makes no sound at all. If that matters to you this is the pad you want. Now, the bad - it's pretty much the definition of flimsy. If you need a pad that you can move around with this is not for you. I can almost guarantee it will break. And it won't take long either. If like me, you put it on your desk and leave it it'll do fine. Second, as it's made it holds the computer at a pretty steep angle. I can't imagine how that's practical or comfortable for anyone but maybe that's what you like. In any case, it was easy enough to modify to sit at a lower angle that works very well for me. So there you are, I love it but with some caveats.

Got it today. Edited an 20+GB video project in Final Cut Pro and keep my Mac from over heating. This helps cook enough to keep my laptop from burning my finger if I touch the aluminum piece above the function keys. Before I bought his it would heat up extremely and performance would severely suffer to a halt.

It's actually quite big. It fits my 15" hp laptop with an additional inch of space on either side and another 2.5" in the back. It's so quiet I had to put my hand under my laptop to make sure it was working. It is like, dead silent. The air is very cool and I love how the bottom of my laptop gets full coverage. I had a Belkin laptop fan/cushion and it only had 1 fan. Since I'm a full-time online student I use my computer pretty much all day err day, and that 1 fan was not cutting it. This upgrade is awesome because not only do I now have 6 fans to keep my baby cool, but the fact that I can now elevate my laptop means less strain on my neck. All in all, I think this was a great buy. I'll probably update later. Update: New 2-in-1 Dell laptop and I LOVE hiw it saves space (my desk is literally in a closet) while keeping it cool.
