Good pump
Use to change oil in boat with 2 cat diesels and a generator. I mounted the pump to a 5 gallon bucket with the output hose running through a hole in the lid. I now have a self contained oil change pump! Have changed the oil in my engines twice, 16 quarts per engine. Pump has performed perfectly. I did have to change the hose that connects the dip stick tube to the pump to a thicker wall tube as the provided hose collapsed under pressure. I used a small section of fuel injector hose. Now works great!

The little engine that could
Worked great pumping 10 gallons of hydraulic fluid out of a woodsplitter into two five gallon buckets and then back into the splitter’s resevoir. Pumped at a rate of about 5 gallons per hour. As others have mentioned the short 3 inch piece of tubing (attaches on the sucking side, see photo pointing to it) collapses on itself due to its lack of rigidity and/or the strong sucking force. Once I replace that with a stronger-walled piece similar diameter, it might even pump faster. No priming needed which was nice. Hope it lasts a long time.

Great little pump for what it is designed to do.
This is a nice little pump for transferring oils. I made a "T" out of scrap 2x4 and 2x6, strapped a lawn tractor battery to it, mounted the pump on the upright piece and wired in a toggle switch. Not pretty but it is now a very handy tool to have around. Used it to change every fluid in a 02 F350 4-by and where I would normally have made a big mess in the driveway, this time I spilled mere drops. I sucked out the majority through dipstick or filler plug then what drained when you finally pulled the drain plug was down to cups or drops instead of gallons splashing in your face. Also used it to re-fill and was especially handy putting the ATF back into the trans down the dipstick tube. It would have been a near-impossible job with a funnel. Has great suction and seems to tolerate a bit of grit/debris. Never a problem priming. Comes with an assortment of hoses and tubes including a length of 1/4" copper tube for putting down a dipstick hole. For what I used it for it is outstanding!

It works!
Very compact but gets the job done. I needed to siphon off 16oz of oil to put in an engin additive. Supplied tubing included: a thin copper tube about18” long for inserting into the dipstick It was a tight fit for my 2014 F150 5.0 engin but it worked. I warmed the engine first inserted the copper tube which got connected to the additional clear plastic tube so it will reach the pump which I had sitting on top of the radiator area. After hooking to the truck battery it was about 70 seconds and I had to quickly turn it off. Wow, fast! Really works great! Here’s what could be better: The wires from the pump to the clamps are definitely too short and very thin. It’s an easy upgrade. Still 5 stars though because it really works as described. :0)

This pump sucks!! Just like it was supposed to
This pump sucks!! Just like it was supposed to. I used it to remove 4 quarts of slightly warm oil from my Jet Ski through the dipstick tube, and this pump had everything I needed, different sized hoses and copper tubes. It took only 5 minutes to remove a 40 weight oil (it may have been quicker if I had removed the oil filler cap), and it saved me hundreds of dollars over the dealership cost to do the same. This pump creates so much suction that it began to collapse the vinyl tube, but I easily kept them formed with my fingers. I then used it to remove about a gallon of water from below the supercharger, and that took all of a minute and a half. When I finished I ran the pump with a half gallon of soapy water to remove any oil residue.

Pump Worked Fine For My Needs
This was purchased to remove ATF from our mini-van prior to me dropping the pan and replacing the filter. Prior to draining, I drove the van a couple of miles to warm things up and then set this up. I don't remember if I read any instructions but it was pretty easy/intuitive to attach the hose and use. Check YouTube for a video on how to use something like this if want more information on that. Some reviewers spoke of using a hair dryer or heat gun to soften up the hose and allow it to be straightened. I did not do that but it would probably have helped with feeding the hose down the transmission fill tube. In my case, I fed as much hose down the tube as I could and was able to drain 2 quarts of ATF at a time. I did this a couple of times (drain 2 qts, add 2 qts, drive the van a few miles, drain 2 qts, etc.) in advance of dropping the pan and this pump worked well. It is slow and steady but, if you warm up the car before pumping the fluids, it should be fine.

Everything you need for an oil change
Bought this to change the oil (7 qts) in my 2016 Genesis. I don't know what other people are complaining about.... this isn't THAT slow.. Wish I would have timed it, but after reading the "complainers" reviews I was pleasantly surprised.. I did find that the short clear connecting tube (also works as a sight glass to see you have flown) will collapse under vacuum... I cut it to just long enough to make a snug connection, and have just about 1\4 inch of gap between the tubes. I used the nylon tube down the dipstick. Take the time to straighten it out...use a hair drier\heat gun (or carefuly over the gas flame on the stove lol} Also, be sure to have a slight angle cut on the end, so it's not down flat sucking against the bottom of the oil pan. I do agree, the cables could have been a little longer for my car, but I made it work. Use your jumper cables. Also, be sure to drive the car around the block and couple times to thin the oil down... I ran it into a gas can that I had in the garage... I wasn't used to needing much more than a milk jug . Then used the spout to pour it into the jug\bottles the new oil came in. Completely happy with my purchase! Didn't have to run around sourcing all of the other parts...

It did not suck at first but with persistence and putting water in ...
Took a bit to make it work, not obvious which is in and which is out! On mine it was the barbed side that is the input side and the threaded is the output. Instructions did not make this clear. It did not suck at first but with persistence and putting water in both sides and giving up for a while it worked when I came back. Used it to drain oil from my engine's dipstick tube and again to drain overfilled transmission through it's dipstick tube. Get one, it will forever change how messy your oil changes are!

I recommend this pump.
I recommend this little pump. It came with all the tubing you will need, including a ¼" copper tube. I used the pump to suck out the fluid from two differentials. The oil was viscous in the cool weather and the rate of flow was low. However, the pump did its job. It was easy to get the draft tube into the bottom of the differentials. The pump didn't loose prime, even when large bubbles of air had to be pumped through. If you have a plastic hand pump like I did, give it away and buy this pump. You will be a happier person!

Awesome!
It sucked our Dodge Neon oil out super fast! So fat that I kept moving the tube to be sure I got it all. And when I did the customary "dump the old oil ok the floor by accident", I was able to pool it up with a putty knife and such it back into the container again. I'm going to use it on our older cars, and get my kids to change the filter. Then I don't have to get dirty at all! I would recommend mounting it to a board or something. It's pretty light and move where you don't want it to go.
