The quantity in this tape is way more than I need as I'm no plumber. I used it when changing a shower head. The tape comes off the reel easily, and does the job. Wrapping the threaded part of the pipe was a piece of cake - easy to wrap and it had just the right stretch to fit tightly and neatly. The rest of the reel is now in my tool box waiting for the next use which I hope will not be for a while. But at least if the need comes up, I'll be ready.

Best PTFE tape I've used in many years!

I regularly use tape for all my plumbing work and any (and all) gas work. I bought and tried several rolls of this Vanguard Tape and it is the best PTFE tape I've used in many years. This tape is very high quality and it very competitively priced. The tape works better and feels thicker than any other tapes I've been using recently. This tape is way better quality and price than any of the cheap PTFE tape I've found in a "Big Box" store. Also, I found out that this tape is designed and quality tested here in the USA(!!), which I like a LOT! If you get more tape and better (tested) quality for the price - why would you use another brand of untested tape?

Anonymous Leak Shuts Down Cooking! Was it the Russians?

Had a fitting leak at the manifold end of my propane griddle regulator hose. I put about 3 inches of this stuff on the threads, being careful to pull it tight and to leave the outermost threads exposed for the female fitting to grab. Tightened it up hand-tight plus a quarter turn. The leak is gone, and the gas flows to the burners as it should.

Worked for us

We have a steam central heating system ans two of the radiators were leaving water that was coming out of the threads/ Used this as a wrap around the thread and screwed them back on. A perfect seal was attained. No water leaks, no steam spewing out of the thread. Took all of ten minutes to remedy a fault that has been long overdue.

Excellent tape.

Awesome thread sealant tape. This is the best one that I've used. Slightly thicker than the others and doesn't tend to rip. Does an excellent job of sealing all connections to my air compressor. I no longer lose air when the compressor is turned off.

Easier to use than most thread tape

This pipe thread tape is easier to use than other brands that I've tried. It doesn't tend to fold over on itself when you're wrapping it around the pipe threads the way other kinds can do.
