I initially bought these OluKai sandals for my trip to Hawaii over a year ago and haven't taken them off since! These shoes, although admittedly uncomfortable at first, broke in quickly and are like walking on a couch. Incredibly comfy. They are great for going out on a warm day and are a fantastic alternative to slippers around the house. Being water proof, I can take them into the showers when I go camping, or outside when washing the car. These shoes are incredibly durable and I'll be sure to purchase a new pair once these ones wear out. I can't get enough of these sandals!

I pretty much live in shorts, Tshirt, and sandals if the temps are above 50. I've owned a lot of different brands of sandals/Flip Flops, and some of them were really good (Teva), but these.....holy cow are they good. The only way I can accurately describe them is to compare them to a good running shoe. These things offer more support than I've ever had in a sandal, and you can tell. If you wear these things all day your feet still feel good at the end of the day, I don't think I ever had that experience with the other brands I've owned. I wore them the whole summer, just about every day and they still look good and feel good. I will be buying this brand again. In fact I'm now looking at some of their shoes.

All right, these are comfy, and fit ok. But only because I ordered 2 sizes larger! I had a pair of these that was very comfy and lasted forever. And now I remember they were size 11, because I like them really large/loose. The size 10 is just barely ok for me. The biggest issue with the others, like Flexi/NB/Vionic is that the heel rides almost over the rim, and that is VERY uncomfortable. Photo description, starting with the size. All are M, standards (non-wide). 8 - ASICs running shoes. 8.5 - Flexi (got them from Mexico). They are a bit small, not too bad, comfort-wise, hardly any arch support. 9D - New Balance Men's Pinnacle Flip Flop, Whisky. Too small, tight. Arch support is ok, not as 'tough' as the Vionic. 8 - Vionic Men's, Tide flip Flop Sandals Brown. Too tight. Arch support is tough. NB above is a bit 'softer'. On 2n picture: 8 - ASICs running shoes. 8.5 - Flexi (got them from Mexico). They are a bit small, not too bad, comfort-wise, hardly any arch support. 10 - Olukai Men's Ohana Sandals Dark Java/Ray. Nice, comfy arch support. These are the winners. Later.

I have written several reviews on merchandise ordered through Amazon and Amazon Prime. I LOVE Prime. Orders are always delivered on time. I always look at reviews before purchasing anything to get an understanding on how customers like/ dislike the merchandise, sizing, material, durability, etc... I have a VERY narrow foot; 11 AA/B and have always had difficulty with shoes. I was the kid in Elementary and JR HS with the wingtip shoes :(. I am a true 11 so I ordered an 11B. When I received the sandals I thought they would be too small because of the built in arch support, but I was WONG. They fit perfectly. There is also NO hangover on the heel, which I like.. The sandal's heel fits just like the picture- flush. If you are a half-sizer; 11 1/2, go up to the next half size; 12- DO NOT downsize. I have not tested the sandals outside, but they feel great walking around in house. Besides having narrow feet I also have flat feet. The built in arch support is SO GREAT and SO COMFORTABLE. I highly recommend these sandals. They are a little more expensive than other brands, but you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying extra for the comfort and craftsmanship. Enjoy!! UPDATE: Its been 4 years since I purchased this pair of Olukais and I still enjoy wearing them. They have been all over Italy, Mexico and several other US states and have shown very little wear. They remain comfortable and look good. They are one of my best investments. I have a pair of Reefs and I prefer these Olukai- hands down. Don't be concerned about the price because you will have these for years while other brands will quickly wear out.

I wear a size 11and 2E width in shoes and have quite high arches but, ultimately I chose the 12 which is a perfect fit. I like a little more real estate on the front and back and the 12 provided that spot on. They were comfortable right out of the box and after the first week that comfort continues to improve. Arch support and cushion are very good for my casual use. I am a few-times-weekly to daily user Spring, Summer and maybe squeaking into Fall. I got them wet spilling water all over them... Wiped them off with a towel briefly but vigorously then dried my foot and expected squeaking and slipping with the first steps but not at all... Felt the same as when they were previously just dry. I purchased the same model for my Wife days after receivng these and plan to order Olukai Shoes in the very near future. Great product.

I have had a pair of the Ohana sandals for several years and they have been great. The only problem I've had was the bottom layer of the footbed is like a sandwich that is glued on and the front edge on the right foot came apart slightly, it was easily fixed with a small amount of super glue. These are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever had. I also have a pair of the OluKai Mea Ola I think they are called, they are all leather with a leather footbed and are over twice as expensive and half as comfortable to me. I just ordered a new pair of the Ohana for vacation as my old ones are starting to show their age after years of wear and abuse. You can't go wrong with these, they are more expensive than most but worth it.

These sandals are great. I wear them so much, in fact the only time I don't wear them is for work. Living in Colorado I still wear them in the winter short distances like to the mailbox or the curb when I'm wheeling out the trash. I even wear them to get drive through in the winter. I love them and had a great experience with them. I wore them to a Tim McGraw concert, a Kenny Chesney concert, and a U2 concert. My feet were in worse shape than the sandal was after those shows. Like I said I bought them in 2014 and they've lasted 4 years and they're still going strong. The only thing I'm noticing is the inlay is starting to "shrink" and the seam of where the inlay lays in and the end of the sandal is no longer 'seamless' so to speak. This is only happening on my heel, the rest of it is fine. Hard to describe, but you can see it in my picture. Honestly, I'm looking for a new pair of sandals now and I plan on ordering another pair of OLUKAIs because it's quality and my experience was incredibly pleasant.

They're a bit heavy in my backpack when I'm not wearing them, and not the best when wet (footbed gets a bit slick, but not too bad, though slow to dry) , but I love these things. I was traveling for a few weeks in warm climates and never took them off. NC beaches, Miami, etc. They were great for Miami - Beach to bar or restaurant np (Brown looks great, very high-end. Looks fine/semi dressy enough for for restaurants or bars) They perform well on any terrain, but I didn't want to risk blowing them out by taking them on too many inclines, hiking, etc. The sole is nice and grippy, doesn't show much wear after being on street a lot and varied terrain. The toe strap does loosen a bit as they break in, so they aren't as glove-snug anymore, but it's acceptable. Were comfortable out of the box, didn't need breaking in. For water use, these aren't the best, but for city, boating (the sole is non-slip, just not the footbed) and beach combo they're perfect. The footbed material is amazingly soft and feels like micro suede. Amazingly comfortable. Grab a cheapo pair of Reefs for in-water beach use - they are much lighter for your backpack. Reef Phantoms are half the price of Ohanas and serve well in beach/water, but not street. Olukai Ohanas are more for long haul walking, etc. For the water sacrifice you gain all terrain walking comfort that feels amazing. Worth it imo. ***April 27, 2019 Update: Sole still shows barely any wear after years of regular use - no issues, everything well intact still. Foot bed is still the same soft and comfortable texture, just broken in a bit.

I love these sandals / flip-flops. I paid $64.99 for them and was desperate because I was going to Guam for a 3-week vacation and was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. When in Guam I wear flip-flops the whole time I am there and my other flip-flops would have caused so much pain that I was that it would have ruined my vacation. I used these flip-flops for the whole three weeks and I experienced no pain what so ever! They were very comfortable. My son and I even went on a two mile hike after it had rained and I did the hike in these flip-flops. My son also wore flip-flops and he was slipping and sliding all over the place. These flip-flops gripped so well that I was truly impressed. I used them to walk over lava rocks many times and looking at the soles you can’t even tell. I even used them in the ocean and made a point to throughly clean them after, hoping that the salt water didn’t ruin them. Well after three weeks of use, they look as good as when I bought them. Even though they were comfortable right out of the box, the soles molded to my feet over the three week and were even more comfortable which is just unbelievable. I will admit that if it wasn’t for being so desperate because of my circumstance I would never had paid $64.99 for a pair of flip-flops, but I now will never buy any other. I told my wife about my pleasure with the flip-flops and she stated I should had bought her a pair for our trip, but told me not to after she learned how much they cost. That is what I mean about the price and being desperate. I was not paid or offered anything to leave this review; I read reviews here on Amazon to help me make my purchase decisions and I am so happy with these I wanted to share my experience and satisfaction with these flip-flops.

Having a reconstructed spine - along with chronic back and leg pain (complications typical of the same) - I am always in the market for the “perfect” shoe. After reading a number of reviews giving ‘Ohana high marks in both comfort and in the relief of foot, leg and back pain, I purchased them. Since a fused back makes bending impossible, as thongs these shoes possess an attribute additionally appealing in that they don’t require lacing. Having worn Sanuk thongs for years (I've had probably in excess of 20 pair), I am familiar with sandals having support; however, the anatomical construction of Ohana far exceeds what I was accustomed to, and took some time getting used to (time, being - at the most – hours, if that). Now, after wearing these shoes daily for almost three months, I can honestly say they have met – and exceeded – all expectations. First, they are extremely comfortable! In fact, they are so comfortable as to provide me with a greater level of activity than was previously afforded. Second, due to their synthetic construction, they clean up with a quick wipe with a damp cloth. Finally, they have held up great! After being worn daily, in all types of terrains, temperatures and conditions, the soles show little wear, as do the straps and foot bed. In fact, ‘Ohana wore so good I purchased pairs for both my wife and my adult son (as a note, my son’s ‘Ohanas were purchased just days after my own, and after being worn for casual dress, yard work, mechanic work and everything in between, after three months, his still look great!). The "Perfect Shoe" - of that I'm unsure. However, due to my recent history with ‘Ohana, I intend to purchase additional OluKai product in the near future!
