These work great! I purchased them to use on a cruise, as all of the walls in a cruise cabin are metal and there is seldom enough storage space to hang wet towels, purses, diaper bags, etc. These books are fairly heavy-duty and easy to travel with. In addition, the company is very committed to customer service and follow up, which is always appreciated. The delivery was fast and I'm very happy with this purchase. Please mark my review as helpful if it helped you :)

I bought these magnets to use on a cruise we booked in Australia and New Zealand. The walls of the cabins are made of metal and since there is never enough counter space to organize all of our papers and documents we opted to try out using some of the wall space. These magnets came in so handy, we hung maps to track where we were going, our shore excursion tickets, the daily newsletter etc. And because they have hooks we were also able to hang items like our lanyards with our sea pass cards or even clothing that we had hand washed. The magnets never fell of the wall. I was worried because the magnets are advertised as being strong - and they are - but there are flight restrictions on packing magnets. We performed the strength test recommended by the FDA and while the magnets are strong they were not strong enough to alter the compass reading. We had no problems bringing them in our luggage for the flight from LAX to Australia and back. We will never go on another cruise again without these magnets!!

These seriously rock. My office recently renovated and thus far we aren't putting anything on the walls. I bought these because the magnets were strong (so they don't just slide down the side of the filing cabinets) and YET the fabric sticky discs provided make sure they don't scratch anything (even the metal newly painted doorsils/doorjambs). I walk with a cane but the danged thing falls over and now I have it at a perfect height for ME to hang it. These are far more handy than adhesive and yet I can put a hook in an unusual place to even hold something like my purse (which is heavy). I'm going to order more I think.

These are very strong magnets and the hooks are BIG! The finish on the magnets is nice and smooth and attractive, so they will look nice too. It is hard to pull the magnets apart from each other in the packaging, so I know they're strong and can hold a lot of weight. I had to sort of slide the magnets off of each other to get them apart so I could use them - an excellent sign that they can hold a lot!

Tiny cabins and wet swimsuits, rashguards, and snorkeling equipment generally are a recipe for a soggy cruise and clammy gear. But I got these strong hooks, attached the included felt pads, and put them up on the ceiling of the cabin. To this I hooked a bungee clothesline, and had a happy cruise filled with daily snorkeling trips. I rinsed everything off each day, squeezed out water by rolling clothes in towels, hung it all up, and things were usually dry in time for the next outing. The hooks were very secure (I used all 6 for this) and did not leave any marks at all on the cabin ceiling. They are so strong they take some oomph to pull apart when coming out of the box, but are not a problem to remove from a wall or ceiling (stronger hold if attached to ceiling than to wall). They are individually strong enough to use on the wall as a hook for a light jacket, etc., by themselves, and hooks are removable if what you need is a magnet alone. Very satisfied.

We bought these to use on our Royal Caribbean cruise on Oasis of the Seas. They worked really well! We were able to hang a lot of stuff on the hooks due to the shape and strength. As described the hooks hold better when hung from the ceiling, but attaching them to the wall worked fine for us. Hook 1: My husbands goggles, speedo, drag suit, and swimming band. Hook 2: A large-ish clutch and my small purse with camera and wallet inside. Hook 3: Outlander 30 L backpack with sunscreen and paper work inside. Hook 4: 3 sun dresses or 2 pairs of swimming trunks. Hook 5: Outlander 20 L backpack with sunscreen bag, two pairs of sunglasses, bug spray, two baseball caps, and a compact, lightweight beach blanket. Our room attendant asked where she could get herself a set so she could use them in her room. We ended up giving her our set so we will be buying at least another set, but maybe 2 sets! These were a great purchase.

These are super strong magnets that have a LOT of uses. I purchased the 6-pack but really only needed two magnets. I immediately found uses for the other magnets. These are quite powerful--I would *not* suggest them to hold items that you will take on and off with any frequency. I am using these to hold items in my vehicle and these hooks are perfect. I also discovered the hooks unscrew--so--with a 3/8" or 1/2" 10/32 screw (I think that was the size) I used these to screw some plastic holders to the metal wall on the back of my vehicle. Easier than drilling into the hardened steel (and I can move them too). I'm already trying to sort out other applications. I wish they would make a decorative one for holding Holiday wreaths and decorations. Really a great product. Very happy.... Just ordered another six magnets...

These magnets are crazy strong! Bought them to add additional hanging capabilities on a cruise (metal walls and ceilings in most rooms). Was impressed with their strength. As a bonus, those set comes with very thin adhesive felt stickers that help avoid scratching metal surfaces. Will they hold 44 pounds? Probably not. Even attached to smooth iron, the most I'd guess would be about 10-12 pounds, which is still quite impressive, and enough to hang several shirts, a jacket or two, a dress, or a small bag.

These just arrived yesterday. The hooks themselves are very sturdy. I was interested in hanging items while cruising without resorting to 3M hooks. It'll be 6 weeks before I can test on a ship, but I did string a laundry line from my son's weight bar holder to a metal storage shelf about 6 feet apart. I loaded it with laundry. No problem! Now, the Rogue stand is probably about as thick a metal as I have around, but the storage shelves are not. Once anchored on a flat portion, the hook held. The felt-like covers seem a nice touch if you're worried about scratching surfaces. I've used smaller neodymium magnets in the kitchen. They've always been worth the money. I came back to see if Strongman offers super strong clips.

I bought one set and found them so good, and found so many more uses for them, I bought another set! Now that those are all in use, I plan on buying more. I don't know about the claims that these are not strong enough. They seem VERY strong to me! As mentioned in the included instructions, that all depends on the material you stick them to. The more ferrous metal, the stronger the attachment. With all of the aluminum in use around us, some may think they are simply weak magnets. When I attach them directly to steel or iron, I can barely pull them off again. I am VERY impressed with the quality of manufacture. The metal is very high-grade compared to many of the products coming from China. I tried to bend one of the hooks and was surprised with the amount of force required. In addition, the finish did not immediately flake-off like seen with so many cheap products. These are not merely stamped out of pot metal, but appear to have been machined. The hook is threaded and screws into the magnetic base rather than being soldered or crimped. This makes the connection very strong. It also raises some interesting possibilities for creative uses of the base with the hook unscrewed....
