Full disclosure here, I am on my 2nd unit because the 1st one suffered a failure. I can't say enough about how well this company has treated me and made sure that I am happy with the replacement and with the company. The design of this particular tripod adapter ensures that your smartphone will be held securely to your tripod. I like using mine on a go pro mount on the dashboard of my car. This is great for dashcam footage Or using the GPS features on the phone. The design of this mount if you look at it from the side the open part sort of angles to a close kind of like a C shape so that he had partially surrounds your phone when clamp down and actually can't let go of it. Instead of the method others use with a Spring this one use a threaded adjuster that you run down to tighten or loosen against the phone which makes for a very secure attachment. And again after my 1st unit failed which happens from time to time with all mass produced items the manufacturer went above and beyond to make sure I was absolutely satisfied with my replacement. I can't speak well enough for them and their customer service! I will be doing business with them again!

Sturdy. Just what I needed.

There are plenty of mobile phone camera mounts, usually part of a small extending tripod which will last, not at all, due to flimsy construction and cheap parts. This is a sturdy piece of equipment designed to do exactly what you want it to do: hold your precious camera phone on a traditional, real, well made tripod. If you like taking pictures without hand wobble or for those self inclusive group shots, you need one of these. Have not tried the remote yet, will get around to that soon and include info on that in a follow up if there are connection or use problems. But for now, for the money and reliability, this is the way you should go, in my opinion.

Value vs Cost A Plus

I had bought this for a non cell phone application that didn't work out. It was not because of the product it was related to the application. Nonetheless I will use it in one of our autos as it is quite adaptable. I will pattern it's new use after the Weather Tech cell phone holder product. I am also going to fit it for our portable GPS device. I found it well made and likely durable. The cell phone holder can be detached and even used by itself.

Everything I expected

This is pretty basic, but it did everything I needed it to. Moves easily, tightens very easily, very maneuverable even with a Note5. If you need to mount a smartphone, this is what you want. These other reviewers that broke theirs must have been tightening it with a wrench. People, it just needs to hold your phone in place, not survive a hurricane. Don't overtighten it!

Build quality is good, price is right

Works great, plenty of range in adjustment. Build quality is plenty good enough for casual to moderate use. Clamp is a little slow/have to wind a knob to tighten down. Would not recommend if you plan to use it hard/abuse it, need to throw it in with other equipment or be able to very quickly get a phone in and out of it. There are other options that clamp/spring loader or whatever or made with more durable materials, but they'll cost you much more. To leave it in a studio or use as a desk mount or whatever, 100% more than adequate.

Pretty sturdy and good for what it is!

I got this for a tripod that I ordered thinking that it didn't come with one (even though it did). I'm glad that I purchased this though because it is pretty decent quality and doesn't break the bank (I also have a spare incase the other one breaks). I have had it for about two days now and it has held up well so far but I will update if that changes. I have included some images of the packaging and sizing of the product. It extends to about 4 inches out but that can be pushing it due to the fact that if you go too far you can end up unscrewing it off of the base. It is easy to re attach so no worries. The smallest size it goes to is about 2 inches as you can see in the pictures I have included. It rotate horizontally and vertically with a screw that is in the back of it and It allows 360° rotation. Over all good product!

I love this phone mount so much I bought another one for a family member. They love it too!! Great value for the price! It attaches easily to my UBeesize tripod. It works as advertised. The phone grip is well-made, has a curved overhang for added support to steadily hold on to the phone. The “screw-style” grip adjustment is so easy to use compared to a spring-tension grip, especially if you don’t have much upper body strength. My favorite part: it easily allows the phone to transition from landscape to portrait orientation or vice versa. I keep it on my desk all the time because it it’s so handy and great as a stand for those that like to facetime or Skype or Video chat or vlog. So happy with it. I highly recommend!!

Does exactly what I need it to do, with my iPhone 6S

I do a lot of photography with my iPhone 6S and I had a different tripod mount that I bought many years ago for my tripod but it broke gradually over the years so I decided it was time to upgrade and I read that this one was pretty good. I can clamp my iPhone 6S which is encased in an OtterBox into this and there really aren't any problems with it. I foresee it working well for a long time to come. One thing to note, it's not a "stretchy" clamp, you have to unscrew and screw it into position when you want to prop your phone into the holder part, which takes a little getting used to, but it seems like it's a fairly sturdy product so I can't really complain. All in all, I'm glad I got this, I got it with an Amazon gift card I got for Christmas so it wasn't a total gamble, but I'd probably be willing to spend real money on this. If I run into any problems with this mount I'll add a addendum but I don't think there's going to be anything terribly wrong with it so yeah, give it a chance!

High quality ... low cost mount for my iPhone 8+

Great little adapter that works like a charm. Now I can use my iPhone 8+ with my tripods. A very secure fit with the adjustable knob and cushioned gripping surfaces. With the two pieces together the phone can swivel vertically 360 degrees. But you can also use the portion with the knob as a stand alone mount. That is the way that I use it since it simplifies the operation. My tripod already has enough adjustments that I did not need the other portion. I kept it to be used if the situation arises. Highly recommended.

Solid design - Solid construction

Unlike other popular mounts, this one isn't spring-loaded. This one has metal threads and a thumbscrew, which allow you to adjust how much tension is applied to the clamps holding your phone. This feature is head and shoulders above other products. Using my tripod with the standard 1/4" threaded mount, I can now securely mount an iPhone 8 Plus in either landscape or portrait positions. A great design plus good price easily gets this product 5 stars.
