Got the InnoGear mic stand yesterday and have been using it ever since. I was concerned about the weight of my Blue Snowball mic, but it's not a problem. I use voice dictation software for writing and when the Snowball was in its regular stand it stood off to the side, which decreased accuracy. I've been testing it in the overhead position and it's awesome! I can also move it back out of the way when I'm not dictating. So happy!

Easy to put together. Very stable and good quality. Over all 5 stars. Recommended!!

As a former radio broadcaster I'm familiar with pro audio equipment. In terms of durability (build quality), the InnoGear scissor arm probably wouldn't last too long in a busy professional studio. But in a home or semi-pro environment it's a great product! In fact, at Amazon's price it's an excellent value. My "Yeti" mic stays exactly where I want it without any unwanted dipping or other stability issues. Adjusting the springs for heavier mics takes all of about 2 minutes. Nothing to it! The package includes a 3/8 to 5/8 adapter and a roll of thread tape (which in my case wasn't needed). I really like the fact that this particular arm doesn't require much rear clearance between the lower section and the wall behind it. I mention this because by design, some arms project backwards at the middle joint will need as much as a foot of space behind them. In any case, as long as you won't be subjecting this arm to constant abuse I can highly recommend it!

I was a bit skeptical when I saw the price compared to the other mic stands out there but after using it I have to say the reviews are correct! Just built an Obutto R3volution desk and needed a way to suspend my mic in mid air since the desk space is limited. Decided to give this thing a shot and it worked awesome! Attached it to one of the monitor arms and it works so good it look like it should have shipped with the desk! Very happy with my purchase!

This is an edited review. Previously, I gave it 3 stars, because while it was inexpensive, had good packaging and the company provided solid up-front support for some known, possible problems, it didn't quite hold my Blue Yeti microphone in any but a few positions and even then, tended to dip within a short time. I've revised it to a 5-star review. After I posted the previous review, InnoGear sent me a note pointing out, with pictures, how to reposition the connection points for the springs to greatly increase the strength of the holder. This took 2 minutes and worked. (Directions attached to this review) They also offered to ship me another one, free, if that fix didn't do what I needed. So at this point, they get credit for: - Inexpensive - Pre-purchase and post-purchase support - Good packaging - Does what I need Obviously, there are definitely better microphone suspension clips out there at higher cost. Those would be longer, have most positioning options, have stronger position-screws, and/or have a sturdier feel. But as an amateur who just wants to get their mic out of the way and avoid table vibrations, and especially for the money, this is a solid 5-star purchase, and I'd both get this product and go with this company again.

Very nice construction for the price. It doesn't feel plastic at all, and the parts that are plastic feel quote rugged. Great reduction with bumps and slaps on the table that I have it secured to. It also survived my shake test, so I feel quite confident with it holding my equipment. Highly recommend to producers beginner or expert.

This is a great mic arm especially for around 20$. I have tested with an Audio Technica At2020 as well as a Samson C03U and it has worked wonderfully with both. The arm is lightweight but seems sturdy enough and doesn't have too much play once you position the mic where you want it. The mount is solid and easy to use. I would recommend this for anyone that is tired of having a mic sit on their desk in the way of all their stuff and also for anyone wanting to make their setup look so much more professional for very little money.

First things first -- this is a scissor arm that CAN handle the weight of a Blue Yeti -- a fantastic, but notoriously heavy mic. Simple to install, nicely constructed, excellent instructions including a rundown of the issue with some older Blue Yetis that were manufactured with the wrong size bolt. It even included a small roll of thread tape just in case, which I thought was above and beyond what most companies would provide. Adjustment after the fact is easy, the whole setup feels very sturdy. Load-bearing capabilities are fast and easy to adjust just by removing a pair of springs and moving a single screw. The default configuration is for lighter to average-weight microphones, but if you have a Blue Yeti, you're going to want to adjust it for the heavier load, it makes a huge difference. The instruction booklet that comes with it is very clear on how to do this and the entire process takes 5 minutes or less. All in all, I'm incredibly pleased with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive arm to get their recording equipment up off of their desk!

Got the arm for a microphone and I like it a lot. Its pretty sturdy and doesn't "dip" or "sink". I set it where I want it and it stays. The clamp used to grab the table is also pretty great and seems heavy duty compared to another clamp arm I have for a drafting table light. I'm actually thinking of ordering another one of these arms for a webcam, but am making sure the mount will work with a camera I want. Will update.
