This works really well. It is easy to use and the are good. The tool has a small picture at each sharpening spot, so that you know what goes where. It is not an electric grinder, but it sharpened up my hoe and pruner just fine with minimal effort and expense.

Perfect Pruner sharpener

This item is very comfortable and sturdy. I have used it to sharpen the pruners and ax I use in the garden and yard. It makes work so much easier with sharp tools. It took a little time to gt it sharp as I needed to apply some presure but it did the trick. I will keep this with my tools for the yard and use during the season to keep fresh cuts. I would recommend this to someone who wants easy to use and sharp tools.

This turned out to be a great purchase. I began sharpening scissors, a couple of pocket knives, pruners, nippers, my machete, my hoe, and even my axe. This thing is easy to use and very versatile. Holding it by the handle keeps it stable while your using it.

useful, money-saving tool

This is a very multifunction, useful, money-saving tool. It can sharpen and hone almost all knife and tools including axe, hatchet, pruners, shears, loppers, mowers blades, machete, scissors. I watched the video demo. It can sharpen hedge shears of wavy blades, which is why I purchased this in the first place. I have some dull pruners of single-beveled edge with very narrow jaw mouth, unlike all the other sharpeners I used before, this one can get into and sharpen the heel of the pruner blade. I particularly like the design of the big hand guard. It protects safely my hands from being cut when sharpen axe and other big tools. Only several pulls, my machete and axes can now cut cardboard as well as razor knife. Very easy and quick, no need special skills. I highly recommend!

Great for Getting Your Edge Back

Great for putting an edge back on wildland firefighting tools out in the field. You still need a file for shaping your blades but with this you can dress your edge with a few strokes and make line cutting way easier. Practice with it so you have the technique down, and then it'll save you a lot of time and energy on the job.

This has become our most universal tool in the home! Because of the cleverly embedded multiple sharpeners at different angles and placement this item far surpasses any other sharpener and the need for multiple sharpeners to do the same job. I've never realized how many items around the house need sharpening to maintain their effectiveness! In fact, I never realized how I was struggling with so many shop tools or cut landscaping because the blades were actually dull even though they didn't look it! From knives, scissors, to shovels, axes, chisels, mower blades, pruners, clippers, machete's and more, No spare razor blades on that utility knife? In a pinch stroke it a few times with this sharpener and that blade will be better than new! It'll handle just about any straight wavy or curved blade you can find! Just about the only blade it's not designed for is serrated. That's right... our only suggestion to the manufacturers would be to add a missing fold-in tapered rod to enable sharpening of serrated blades to make this sharpener PERFECT.

I love this thing

Have used it on my expensive Wusthof knives and on my garden tools with equally good results. Pretty much idiot proof. Took a nick out of a Wusthoff blade I was told to send back to the factory for regrinding and sharpened several garden tools and shovel blades to make life easier. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this tool just in time for fall and winter yard work. I love the fact that it is multi-functional and I can sharpen a knife and my yard tools with the same tool. This is really something that anybody that works in the yard should use. The large hand opening is nice when working in the yard and wearing work gloves to protect your hands.
