Good value and it works as advertised

I, too, have seen the bad reviews, but I have had none of that. Great picture. I used an HDMI cable to connect to my 8 year old TV. I was really missing not having a channel guide and being able to record on air shows. Both functions work great. Easy to set up (I am a techie). I you are a cable cord cutter, you really need one of theses devices.

Worked Great

Worked just as we hoped. No problem getting it going. Had to buy a better antenna but now we can get @ 70 local channels.

Digital TV Box

My Samsung TV has no audio outs of any kind. That made my stereo system useless. I wrote Tech Support to verify what they were advertisings. I used my TV antenna coax into the box and also out to TV. Then HDMI to TV and also RCA cables from box to the Amp. I can now watch TV through the box and HDMI and receive sound to the amp. If for some reason I want to watch just the TV (Roko) I switch my TV selection to TV. The box is as advertised and works perfectly. Great Product.

Easy to use and excellent picture quality. Highly recommended!

It was better than expected. One trick is to connect the tuner to HT processor or TV via HDMI cable, not the coaxial. On my TV, the coaxial didn't work. I recorded a show using an external hard drive. It turned out great. The sound was a little lower than the original. The HD looked very good. Very happy with the turner.

AWESOME

AWESOME! Perfect solution to replace my VCR that became obsolete when digital TV was shoved down our throats. I am considering buying another model from this manufacturer that would allow recording one TV show while watching another. In other words, exactly what I could do with my state of the art (at the time) Sony VCR.

Great value for the price - easy set up

I see the bad reviews, but my experience was very positive. I hooked it up to my TV via HDMI and connected my Amazon freebie antenna. Powered on, went through set up (mostly finding stations) and was done! I was able to verify with my other TV that I had picked up even more stations. The picture quality was perfect on my 4k TV, and I really love the remote control functionality. The channel information is nice, as is the ability to rename stations. I plan to hook up a 2Tb HDD for recording programs. My only gripe is that the remote needs a good line of sight, but since I am planning to control everything with Alexa and a Harmony Companion...

Well worth the money.

Has this since May. Hooked a 500th ssd for recording and have had not a problem. Remote is somewhat line of sight but the best that can be said is "I'd by it again." Which I would.

Great Item

I bought a Vizio "TV" without realizing, and the TV Helper guy at Costco didn't tell me, it does NOT come with a RV TUNER..it is only a monitor That Costco is 4 hrs away, the nearest other is 2 hrs, so sought an alternative fix. Checked on amazon, and Voila!!! This...after calling their tech support to see if it would work, they assured me it would or else give a no-return fee, refund. It works great, and even lists the shows on screen like cable/sat does, and these are LOCAL channels. I think this would work great on computer monitors, too....and the price is right, compared to Best Buy's similar tuners.

I use this in combination with a small HD antenna and I'm very happy with it. I plug in a USB drive and record shows with no problem. The only annoyance for me, although it has nothing to do with the quality of the product, is that stopping the recording is a two step process. Because I need glasses for reading I can have some trouble finding the buttons without my glasses on. No big deal but it would be nice if it was a single step.

We can finally record!

I was hesitant but decided to try it. The ONLY issue is that the antenna pass-through did not seem to work, but the HDMI output works better. I added a splitter to my antenna and ran the second coax to the TV, so I can record one show and watch another. You MUST do this or you will have to either watch what you record, or use another source like Blu-Ray, Roku, Netflix, Amazon streaming, Hulu, etc. as long as those use a different input into the TV...But this box works great as advertised, and shipping was pretty quick even though it was not Prime! Batteries NOT included...
