After I ordered the telescope, I was getting second thoughts thinking it's a junkard, or it'd be too hard to get a nice focus, or too cheap and only for kids... But when I opened the package and used the telescope, it turned out pretty good! The Barlow is on a "Corkscrew" so you do twist it to focus. It's made of brass, and pretty light-weight. The telescope also comes with a cleaning lens and leather pouch to put the telescope in, and it easily fits in your pocket. It's zooming power is quite amazing, better than alot of the more expensive, retractable telescopes out there, I looked. Ya I have no regrets about this telescope. Price is right, too.

The in-laws moved to the beach, you can see dolphins right from their balcony. I thought this would be more fun to use than binoculars, and I was right! This was a hit! It comes packaged beautifully and with a zippered case for storage. It’s very sturdy (thought it would feel cheap) and actually works! I was extremely pleased with this purchase!

I love this little scope! I had read the reviews, many of which were very positive, so I decided to give it a try. I wanted a small, yet powerful scope to keep in my adventure/day pack, and this one is perfect. It is small and lightweight, with a protective case and lens cloth. The scope seems pretty durable and well-made, but it is a precision instrument and should be treated accordingly to keep it "healthy". The optics are very good--I do not notice any aberration or dispersion--and the image comes into bright, clear focus. There is no eye guard on the eyepice, and in order to get the best image I need to allow for about 1/2 to 3/4 inch relief. So you can either make your own eye guard from leather or rubber (SUGRU works nicely), or else just use your hand to create the relief and provide light-shielding just like a pirate would! For a new user. it may take a while to get the focusing perfected, but do be assured that this scope is totally focusable--like I said, bright, clear images. To focus, simply extend the tubes all the way out, then make small adjustments to the barlow by turning either clockwise or counterclockwise on the end piece until you nail it. The magification and image quality surpass those of my Tasco binos and my Archeer monocular. Overall, I am very pleased.

This is my first monoscope. I like its compact design. The view sight is very clear. I can easily read car plate details 60 yards away.

Awesome telescope that actually works! Took it out on the sailboat while dressed up like a pirate (because I could) and it was fun to check out things across the lake with the telescope.

I attached this to a tripod with a bicycle light clamp. I can see Jupiter as a small disk along with four of its moons. The moon looks good, too. Saturn appears as a small blob. You can focus well with the eyepiece (where you put your eye), and it is sturdy. The pouch it came in is good enough to keep it protected when not in use.

OMG! I just wanted to order this for a photo booth prop. I was probably going to give it away after the party. But It is so nice! And it works! Meaning it's not just a toy! Very well done and sturdy enough. I'm very impressed with the entire product. It comes with a faux leather pouch. The back handle is not sturdy. I thought It was snap-ons. But it isn't. Although, I was able to put it back easily. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to have a pirate/boat/travel party celebration. Or even to give as a memorabilia for a sailor.

For the price I though this would be more of a toy, but I was mistaken! I was thoroughly impressed with this monocular. It provides very good (not distorted views) and is very portable, say for backpacking, etc. I tried it at night and holding it steady or resting it on something I could barely see the 4 Galilean moons of Jupiter and Saturn's ring system. The instructions are a little confusing for focusing it though. The last segment twists in and out to focus it (as opposed to the small end screw piece which holds the "eyepiece" lens.) I was able to focus to infinity on the stars and down to about 25ft.

I got this a few days ago and I'm impressed and so far it's exceeded my expectations. It expands smoothly. The focus is quick, easy and it's crystal clear. It really is 25x zoom, which is refreshing when so many other similar products lie about the zoom. It's feels sturdy and of good quality, especially for the price. It's not a polished brass look like in the picture, more of a matte brass look. Overall I couldn't be happier with it!
