So, I had a bad gnat problem. Google suggested the gnats might be setting up shop in my houseplants. Turns out, they were building a society and electing leaders and sending their kids to college. Someone suggested sticky strips so I did research and bought a few kinds. I LOVE THESE!! In 1 hour I saw a difference. In 1 day the problem was nearly gone. In 1 week - no more gnats at all. 24 hours after this product arrived, i bought more packages just to have around the house. They collect the gnats so effectively and also let you know which plants are more preferred than others by these little suckers. Some strips were empty in some plants, other plans were infested. I cannot say enough good things about this product. There's a similar product, gnat sticks (stix?) that works almost as well but those are double sided sticky and much harder to handle. These are sticky on one side, you bend them and clamp them in the stake provided, OR you can lay them flat in the soil. I like to mix it up. All methods are effective and I can't believe I have no more gnats.

I have a small jungle of plants in my house and with the windows being open in the summer all sorts of tiny gnats can fly right through the window screens into the house. I noticed that my plants were infested with gnats flying/crawling all around them. It was driving me crazy so I purchased this product to remedy the situation. These sticky stakes have done a great job! Within one day of sticking them in my houseplants I could see that they had caught a bunch of bugs. After a week I no longer had the issue of seeing a stray gnat fly by my face. The yellow stickies are EXTREMELY sticky. They easily stick to your fingers, plant leaves, etc., therefore be careful when assembling and inserting them near your plants. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend this product to others.

The ongoing battle with fungus gnats never ends. Luckily, these sticky stakes are available so at least we can do something to save our plants. It's not a pretty sight when numerous gnats get stuck on them, but what can we do? The stakes are not toxic, and they work. Be aware, they are very sticky and can / will stick to whatever touches them. The cat got it stuck to her fur when she was overly snoopy about them, so know that can happen. They don't get rid of the gnats forever, but at least it is something that for a fact stops them. My plants thank you for offering them. ( They also attract houseflies. Again, no poison involved so I liked that very much ) ...

I have had these little flying nasties every year the last few years when I brought my plants in and usually they just died in a week or so. Well this year that was not the case! They were all kinds of crazy! I was skeptical when I purchased these. My thought was how can these little nasty bugs that like wet moldy dirt possibly be attracted to bright yellow sticky paper? Well they arrived Saturday after noon. I put 8 of them in random plants around my home and I could not believe the amount of bugs on them. Today is Monday morning. I have attached some photos of just a few of these little sticky things. I would say.. the photos speak for themselves.

I ended up with a tiny fly invasion after reporting a few houseplants. Tried many different non toxic approaches and this worked like magic- brought the numbers of flies waaaaay down. We ultimately did an outdoor spray of the plants to eradicate them once and for all, but we keep these in the plants to prevent a comeback. These work great! We tried similarly colored yellow tape to try to save money and the fliers weren't interested, so there's something in this formulation (maybe the glue?) that works.

If you have an issue with fungus gnats - it actually helps to mitigate it dramatically. I put couple of potted flowers indoors, and in a month fungus gnats started to appear pretty much everywhere around the house. I was looking for any kind of spray, but learned that it is inefficient against fungus gnats. So I installed these traps, and in two weeks yellow stickers were half-covered with gnats. I used couple of packs by now, and I don't see gnats around the house anymore. It did not eliminate them completely, I still can see a few of them next to the pots. But the infestation averted, and I'm pretty much happy with it.

These little sticky stakes work perfectly-- fungus gnats get trapped, and I've never seen one get loose. The only downsides to them are that they're physically small, so I need to replace them more often than I'd like, and the adhesive is so sticky that it's gotten stuck to my hand a number of times. But both of those things are small prices to pay. These work far better than larger gnat traps or paper, simply because you can place them in the pot itself.

I have about 30 houseplants and the gnats were multiplying like crazy. We had just repotted four orchids and aparently the dirt was contaminated because I suddenly had flying bugs in most of my plants that we have never had. I did not want to have these in all my plants, but I was going crazy having bugs flying around in my kitchen. We set fruit fly traps, but then realized not one flew in there & realized they were gnats and not our typical fruit flys. I remembered seeing this a long time ago as an option, so decided they were the next option. I looked at them at hardware and nurseries however, the price-point made me shy away. Then, I found these on Amazon and decided to go for it, because I wanted to avoid chemicals. These work like a champ, but did not end my problem. I would have hundreds of little bodies stuck to these strips (they would be COVERED), but they were not the end all. The ones that did not get stuck still reproduced, so I went to a nursery and bought all new dirt (much more expensive), but I've only seen three in the last week since I took such drastic options. I gave these plently of weeks to work, and they do work...bodies stick to them by the hundreds, however they will not end any infestation because they don't catch them all. I even tried doubling them up all over the plant pots and sort of going crazy with them, but they still can't catch them all & those bugs create more bugs. I battled this issue for 4-6 weeks before finally giving up on the strips and buying all new dirt. I threw the old dirt out & things are finally under control. In summary, these work as advertised but won't end a problem.

It's a rare occasion that I write a review. But in this case I just had to! This product is amazing. After repotting some house plants, I had these little winged beasts flying all over my house. They were in my face constantly. Often in my glass of water, or even my coffee, and even the dogs water. After some research, I found they most likely came in with the potting soil. (So much for quality soil.) Anyway, I tried all the home remedies I found, and nothing seemed to help. They just kept multiplying. Then I ran across this product here on Amazon. I thought, for the price, what do I have to lose? OMG! You should see all the little bodies stuck to the sticky surface. FINALLY! I am able to sit, and drink my coffee "alone", without gnats trying to get in my cup. Thank, you, thank you thank you.

Using these traps was both weirdly satisfying but ultimately not necessary. I recently replanted all of my new plants with fresh dirt and added some decorating stones and moss to each plant surface. I wanted to know if any insects were lurking anywhere on my plants or in the soil but I'm happy to report that I haven't caught anything unlike others in these reviews. I did see a tiny flying insect enter my apartment which wound up on a sticky tape so it works! I think I'll keep just a few traps in use just in case they catch anything else flying in the air like mosquitoes. Good to use as a diagnostic tool, lol.
